Tucker trashes Trump for standing with Israel against genocidal Iranian regime — but Trump is absolutely right to stand with America’s most faithful ally

Peloni:  Preventing a nuclear armed Iran should be understood to be not only an Israeli interest, but as Joel explains below, it is very much an American interest as well, even if American Kumbayists such as Carlson and others would like to pretend otherwise.  Indeed, the very regime which holds watch over the Iranian people and are actively sprinting to expand its nuclear program has the blood of thousands of Americans on its hands, from the bombing of an American barracks in 1982 to the roadside IEDs deployed against American servicemen in the Iraq war to the butchered, raped, kidnapped, executed and body snatched American civilians on October 7, America has all the evidence needed to demonstrate an explicit need to keep nuclear weapons out of the hands of the Iranian Twelvers who would use them against American targets should it be given any chance to do so.  The motivations of the eclectic falsely claimed ‘American Firsters’ who would tolerate Iranian access to such weapons of slaughter, when Iran has utilized far less credible capacities to butcher American citizens not only puzzles the mind, it demonstrates a sense either duplicity or stupidity on the part of those who would make such incoherent arguments as described by these pseudo America Firsters.  Keeping America safe at all costs should specifically be a priority for Americans, and preventing a nation which has casually and purposefully murdered thousands of Americans over the past four decades from becoming a nuclear menace should in fact be advocated by everyone, but certainly by those who claim to be heralding the interests of America as they instead promote the interests of Iran.  War is the purposeful act of unraveling civilized norms for the precise purpose of preserving the practice of civilized norms for future generations.  It is not something which should be indulged promoted for slight or silly purposes, but should instead be reserved for appropriately serious matters, and this should reasonably include preventing nuclear weapons from being acquired by Jihadi terror states such as Iran whose has already claimed the lives of far too many Americans with impunity.

Relentless attacks on Jews and Israel require pushback

While our ancestors would have appropriately marveled at the opportunity to defend a Jewish state, in our day, it is a growing challenge.

Douglas Altabef | June 12, 2025

There is a famous old Yiddish expression that translates to: “It’s difficult to be a Jew.” This age-old perspective is a veritable Rorschach test for each of us to assess what exactly those difficulties are.

For some, it referred to physical, spiritual and financial requirements to fulfill commandments and Jewish practice. For others, it meant keeping oneself, one’s family and one’s community intact and safe in the wake of rampant persecution.

Remembering and Emulating Mickey Marcus

Peloni: Following the outbreak of WWII, Marcus eerily seemed to find himself in what was to be a series of important positions, positions which allowed him an important insight as well as an important input into vital international events surrounding the war and post war years.  Here are the highlights of these events, events which helped guide Marcus onto the path which Feldstein describes in the article below.

During WWII, Marcus was involved in many of the international conferences which formed what would come to be the post-war world, including those at Cairo, Dumbarton Oaks (where the UN was initiated), Tehran, Yalta, and Potsdam.  He played an important role in drafting the Italian surrender, the unconditional surrender of Germany, as well as the manner in which Germany would be ruled in the post war period.  Later, after the end of WWII, Marcus was attached to the staff of General Lucius D. Clay, commander of US occupation forces in Germany.  In that role, Marcus came face to face with the horrors of the Holocaust as he and the rest of Clay’s staff were ordered to tour the now liberated Dachau concentration camp.  Having already been well aware of the Nazi war crimes, Marcus’ visit to Dachau still had a devastating effect up0n him, ultimately changing his outlook on the topic of Zionism.  Never having been inclined towards Zionist ideals, Marcus came to appreciate the import of founding a Jewish State.  Following this, Marcus took on a role of improving the accommodations for the alarming number of displaced persons in Europe.  These events helped Marcus in what was to follow in 1946, as he came to lead the Pentagon’s War Crimes Division.  In that role, Marcus chose the judges, lawyers and prosecutors who would participate in the war crimes tribunals in both Nuremberg and Tokyo.  During this time, Marcus was acutely concerned that the horrors of the Holocaust were accurately and completely documented.  In 1947, Marcus was honored with the prestigious option of joining the US embassy staff in Moscow, but instead he chose retire from public service altogether.  Sometime shortly afterwards, he was approached by Major Shlomo Shamir.  Shamir had been tasked by Ben Gurion to help find someone who might train the fledgling Jewish forces in Palestine into an functioning army.  Upon failing to find someone else to carry out this task, Marcus volunteered for the role himself.

Among the most cherished books in my library is a weathered first edition of “Cast a Giant Shadow,” the story of Col. David “Mickey” Marcus, based on which the classic 1966 film by the same name was produced starring Kirk Douglas. Having retired from his military career following WWII, Col. Marcus was recruited in 1947 to serve as advisor in creating what would become the Israel Defense Forces, IDF.

Hamas kills at least 8 aid workers, GHF reports; source claims Hamas trying to disrupt aid distribution

Peloni:  Where are the international tribunals? Where are the street protests?  Where are the human rights advocates.  Well, there are no Jews to condemn, so there is no objection.

A still from CCTV footage of Palestinians gathering near the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation site at Wadi Gaza.

In a powerful and deeply symbolic address to Israel’s Knesset, Argentine President Javier Milei announced that Argentina will relocate its embassy to Jerusalem in 2026, solidifying his country’s growing alliance with the Jewish state. The move will place Argentina alongside a select group of nations that officially recognize Jerusalem as Israel’s capital.

Gov’t coalition defeats motion to dissolve Knesset after late-night compromise with Haredi parties

Peloni:  It would have been an unfortunate mistake for all involved, outside of Israel’s enemies, had this motion not been defeated, but most acutely it would have been a mistake for the Orthodox parties.  Fortunately, this vote now gives us a full six month sigh of relief before we have to be concerned about such a catastrophe as having to carry out elections during an existential war.

After dramatic hours of high-stakes negotiations, the coalition scored a last-second success by defeating a motion to dissolve the Knesset around 1 a.m. on Thursday, following compromises over sanctions for ultra-Orthodox (Haredi) draft dodgers as part of a new IDF draft law.

Morphing Jews into Nazis

Peloni:  Sha’i provides an important analysis of Jew Hatred, Jew Haters, and the Nazi aligned goal of Jew eradication which guides them both.

by Sha’i ben-Tekoa

After the black Sabbath and bloody “Joy in the Torah” (Simchas Torah) holy day in Israel on October 7, 2023, when Israel struck back and anti-Jews began accusing the IDF of committing genocide, some may have thought it was so ridiculous and stupid a charge, it would not be taken seriously. But it has.

Recently in London’s Metropolitan Police, a Muslim officer was dismissed for posting antisemitic content on Instagram following October 7, likening Israel’s prime minister to Adolf Hitler. One of his graphic posts shows the image of Netanyahu morphing into Hitler, with the words, “The irony of becoming what you once hated. Well done, Israel. Hitler would be proud.”

Something is happening, right now…

Peloni:  WSJ reports the departure of non-essential staff at US embassies is in anticipation f an impending Israeli attack.  Meanwhile testimony by the head of Centcom, Gen. Kurilla, was also delayed.  So are the reports of an Israeli attack in earnest, or is this more posturing by Washington towards its hopes of negotiating with Iran?  Maybe its both.  Notably, amid reports that this weekend’s talks with Iran have been cancelled, Steve Witkoff is still expected to be traveling to Oman for the talks.   See here for more: Negotiating tactic or sign of action against Iran? U.S. evacuates some personnel from Middle East

Avi Abelow

U.S. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth just told Congress that there are “plenty of indications” that Iran is actively moving toward a nuclear weapon. Not theoretical. Not down the road. Right now.

That is why Defense Secretary Hegseth has just now authorized the departure of non-essential staff at US embassies and military bases across the Middle East.
