The Cornell University’s Student Assembly recently voted, by 19 to 2, to condemn the university administration for permitting a former Member of Knesset to speak on campus.
Who do you suppose was the speaker to whom the students angrily objected? A representative of one of Israel’s right-of-center parties? Someone who supports building Jewish settlements and opposes making more concessions to the Palestinian Authority?

Threat Assessment
*The 2026 Annual Threat Assessment of the US Intelligence Community determines: “…. Iran has proven capable of developing lethal operations against Americans at home and abroad, and probably will attempt to pursue such efforts again if the current [regime] remains in power, and is able to rebuild…. Iran poses a threat to U.S. networks and critical infrastructure in the form of cyber espionage and cyber attacks…. China, Russia, and Iran are seeking to sustain economic, political, and military engagement with Latin America that may conflict with U.S. interests in the region…. Selective cooperation among China, Russia, Iran, and North Korea… is bolstering the threat that each of them poses to the U.S…..”

New York Times editorialist Thomas Friedman sees an epidemic of “moral cowardice.” He states: “The Republican Party today has a neo-Nazi problem that it refuses to confront. The progressive left today has a pro-Hamas problem that it refuses to confront. And the Jewish people and Israel have a radical Jewish settler problem that they refuse to confront.”
The present authors agree with Friedman on the first two issues, and enthusiastically congratulate him upon pointing this out, and for calling a spade a spade on these two unfortunate and unjustified occurrences.

18:56 – Israeli military strikes main IRGC headquarters in Tehran
“As part of a wave of strikes that was completed a short while ago in the heart of Tehran, the Israeli Air Force, guided by IDF intelligence, struck the IRGC’s main security headquarters,” the Israeli military stated.
Peloni: Iran’s Foreign Minister claims that there have been no negotiations with the US. Axios reports that messages have been carried back and forth between Trump and Iran by Turkey, Pakistan and Egypt.

About three quarters of a century ago, brutal, genocidal forces were attempting to take over much of the world and were resisted by both their immediate victims and others who came to their aid for assorted reasons.
Had America not joined the Allies in World War II, the world would definitely be a much different and much worse place today. Ironically, this may not have happened at all had not Japan bombed Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941.

In an article posted on Arutz Sheva, Knesset Opposition member and Former Defense Minister, MK Avigdor Lieberman shared his sharp criticism over recent reports about the Palestinian Authority’s so-called “shadow army,” warning that its activities suggest preparation for a large-scale attack against Israel similar to the October 7 massacre. Describing the PA’s buildup as a “Trojan Horse,” he stresses that the threat from PA forces in Judea and Samaria are quite real and he is urging the political leadership not to ignore this threat. Noting that should a similar assault to that which took place in the Gaza Envelope on October 7 come to be unleashed in the West Bank by the PA’s own security forces, the consequences would be devastating.
Peloni: The terror which has reached the heart of Israel, despite the magnificent and miraculous defense shield which surrounds the nation, must be understood to harden the conviction needed to face down the evil from which these infernal contraptions were needlessly and purposefully focused upon the innocents in this war. When civilized men face such barbarism, and grasp the truly mendacious ambitions of those who could coincidentally design such intricate weapons of calculated destruction, it must be agreed upon that there can be but one solution, namely to resolve upon a dedication of purpose that such barbarity must be defeated, without negotiation or mitigation. Indeed, they must be denied the means by which to war upon the innocent’s in Israel, Arabia, Europe, and America, and that their weaponized control over the Iranian people must at last be put to a complete and final end. Or so I do argue.

When I was about 12 or 13, I had a friend who was fun to be with. When we were in my house or hers, we’d talk endlessly about our schoolmates, our teachers, her mother’s illness, and boys, boys, boys. But whenever we went outside, she would start counting.
Peloni: It is so sad to see the old world of Europe collapse so completely at the feet of the Islamist conquest taking root there over the past more than a decade. The roots of the Western world matured in the wake of the last attempted Islamist conquest, several centuries ago, and the principles and institutions of democratic government came to be so well practiced there that one might have mistaken it to have been ingrained in the very soil of Europe and most particularly England. Yet, here we are with the fall of Europe being so clear as they prostrate themselves before their subjugating Jihadi masters, with the gross perversion of one democratic norm after another entirely collapsing in full public view. With the great prize still yet to drop in the form of the fall of America, we must appreciate that all is not yet lost so long as America remains able to lead the Western World back from what surely must be understood to be the cliffs of Islamist insanity. And yet, the pace of conquest which took root in bonnie old England seems to have been quite slow compared to the pace in which Sharia centers seem to be rising across America. Americans are notorious for their plucky independent nature, their intolerance of intolerance, and their appreciation of reveling in being, well, American. So, as the halls of power have too readily ignored the rising threat of the slow Jihadism in their mists, it falls to the American people to raise to the moment and to oppose the loss of the values and precepts which provide the simple elucidating identity which makes Americans American. Notably, it is these qualities and the identity formed from it which is the real target of opposition upon which fuels the Jidhists ambitions in conquering the West.

The British Empire was the largest in history. With colonies on every continent, it covered more than a quarter of the earth’s land and governed over a fifth of the world’s population. Besides dominating military, economic, diplomatic, and political affairs, it transformed the world by spreading Western values, customs, and culture, as well as ideas such as individualism, rationalism, capitalism, and modern scientific thought. That influence continues in the educational, legal, and parliamentary systems of many countries.
Peloni: It is a harsh as well as taboo act to speak ill of the dead, especially when the death has been so freshly announced. Yet, if we were to be honest rather than reservedly respectful, it would be difficult to disagree with Pres. Trump’s statement. President Trump gave Iran 48 hours to fully reopen the Strait of Hormuz on Saturday or face American strikes on the country’s power infrastructure.
Peloni: Iran launched ballistic missile strikes on the southern Israeli cities of Arad and Dimona, injuring over 100 people, including several in serious condition, and causing significant damage to residential buildings. Some missiles penetrated Israel’s air defenses, prompting an investigation into the failure. The attack is claimed to be retaliation for earlier strikes on Iranian nuclear facilities, and it marks a major escalation in the ongoing conflict, particularly because the targeted area is near Israel’s nuclear research center. IDF source have confirmed that the interceptors fired at these missiles failed, leading to the missile strikes, and that the series of missiles used in this strike are not new. The interceptors, reportedly fired by US THAAD system, failed to prevent the missiles from striking the residential areas.
