President Trump is battling an entrenched “Permanent State” — unelected bureaucratic workers entrenched throughout the echelons of government who are unaccountable to the American people and even the president, Sebastian Gorka, Trump’s former deputy assistant, said Friday at a panel that conservative government watchdog group Judicial Watch hosted.

Referred to derisively as the “Deep State,” Gorka said a more accurate name for the officials who have filled government bureaucracies in Washington is the “Permanent State” because they are neither hidden nor covert.

“It was in our faces. It was arrogant. It was right there in the surface of our policy discussions at the highest level of the White House. … It’s overt,” he said during the panel, which was called Exposing the Deep State.

Air defense base is located within Israel Air Force base in the Negev

The first permanent U.S. military base in Israel was dedicated on Monday.

A few dozen American soldiers will live and work on the base, situated inside the school of the Aerial Defense Division of the Israel Air Force, in the Negev. High-ranking U.S. officers attended the dedication ceremony.

Brig. Gen. Zvi Haimovich, the commander of the division, said the new base reflects the close military cooperation between Israel and the United States. He declined to elaborate on the exact activities of the American soldiers, but said, “The base is here to stay. It involved a significant allocation of resources, in the understanding that this was right and necessary and part of the United States’ assets in Israel.”

Despite taunting on social media, the planned fight between scandal- plagued Likud MK Oren Hazan and trouble-making Jordanian lawmaker Yahya Mohammad Alsaud at the Allenby Bridge border crossing did not take place on Wednesday after Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu intervened.

The drama began when Hazan commented on the heightened tensions between Israel and Jordan after a guard at the Israeli Embassy shot two Jordanians, one of whom tried to stab him with a screwdriver, last month. Israel is investigating the incident.

Blinded by the smokescreen of the war against ISIS, the world failed to notice that Tehran was taking over considerable parts of Syria — particularly in the sparsely populated center and east of the country.

This Iranian takeover is being implemented by Shiite, Iraqi, Afghani and Iranian militias — but primarily by Lebanese Hezbollah. That group has been given a free hand to do whatever its leader, Hassan Nasrallah, pleases in western Syria, which is the more fertile part of the country and home to most of the population.

As ISIS and the opposition groups weaken, Bashar Assad is gaining strength. The brutality of the Russian intervention and the cruelty of the Shiite militias have overcome his opponents. The tide turned in 2015 when the Russians forced Ankara to stop supporting the rebels and ISIS; and while Turkey’s Erdo?an had no choice but to go along with the Russians, the Alawite Assad still sees him — justifiably — as an Islamist enemy.

The US now finds itself in the awkward position of being on the same side as Iran.

Iraqi Vice President Nuri al-Maliki joined the chorus opposing a Kurdistan independence referendum.

“We will not allow the creation of a second Israel in the north of Iraq,” he said on Sunday.

Maliki’s allies in Iran have also threatened the Kurdistan Regional Government in northern Iraq, pressuring it to cancel the September 25 referendum.

A fine and honorable Rabbi I heard on the East Coast recently is very worried about Nazis in America.  He and many other Jewish clergy and lay people, particularly in the Reform and Conservative movement see them as a clear and present danger in America and associate them with President Trump and Republicans in general.  Putting aside calumny and falsehoods directed at our President and Republicans, I am as much worried about Nazi’s in America as I am the Army of the Dead from Game of Thrones.

I am, however, very worried about the statist/leftist/progressive, whatever label you wish, invading  and terribly harming America.  Nasty accusations hurled at a duly elected President accomplishing a lot of middle of the road American things under incredible attack, reminded me of the Civil War we are in, the intense cultural war in which we find ourselves between American and Leftist values.  The war is threatening the pillars holding up American civilization.

When Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu addresses the UN General Assembly on Tuesday, he’ll undoubtedly devote part of his speech to the need to fight terrorist organizations. What he probably won’t mention is that in Israel, the fight is often hamstrung by the Supreme Court’s out-of-control judicial activism, as evidenced by last week’s mind-boggling ruling denying the government the right to revoke the Israeli residency of people serving in the Palestinian legislature or cabinet on behalf of Hamas.In 2006, three Palestinian residents of East Jerusalem were elected to the Palestinian parliament on behalf of the Hamas-affiliated Change and Reform party, while a fourth was appointed to the Palestinian cabinet on behalf of that party. Israel responded by revoking their Israeli residency rights.

T. Belman. The simple fact is that McMaster is anti-Israel and Bannon in pro-Israel.  Also Bannon wanted to support Trump’s agenda. Bannon considered the election results a mandate for Trump’s agenda. McMaster wanted to ignore the results and relitigate the agenda so he brought in all kinds of  counter arguments and removed people who supported Trump’s Israel policies.

In the Wallace interview, there was no discussion about Israel or what’s happening in Syria.

National Security Adviser H.R. McMaster bashed President Trump’s presidential campaign chief executive and former White House chief strategist Steve Bannon on Sunday, accusing him of advancing his own “narrow” agenda.

When asked by Fox News’ Chris Wallace if he was trying to say that Bannon was “trying to work around and advance his own agenda,” McMaster responded: “There were some who try to operate outside of that process for their own narrow agendas, and that didn’t serve the president well.”

Breitbart News Senior Editor at Large Joel B. Pollak responded: “Bannon’s only agenda was Trump’s campaign promises on his whiteboard.”

West Bank settlements ensure Israel’s security even in the era when Israel is under threat from missile and cyber attacks, Defense Minister Avigdor Liberman said on Sunday evening.

“From my perspective its clear, that the settlements in Judea and Samaria and those here in the area of Jericho and the Dead Sea, are the State of Israel’s true defensive wall,” Liberman said.

Ambassador Haley says she has seen changes in the UN, including an improvement in the attitude toward Israel.

Shortly after the US-led coalition threatened to strike any Syrian Arab Army units if they crossed the Euphrates River, Syrian and Hizballah troops were marching across imported Russian pontoon bridges to reach the river’s eastern bank. By Friday, Sept. 15 they were able to establish a bridgehead there.

The attached photo shows the pontoons being lifted and set in place in a manner which recalls the method by which the IDFwas able to cross the Suez Canal for a landing in Egypt towards the end of the 1973 war.

Israel on Monday will present to the delegates at the second donor conference in New York, with the participation of Israeli, PA, and international representatives, a new package of benefits to the Palestinian Authority, Globes reported.

The purpose of the Israeli plan, which was formulated under American pressure to offer economic benefits to the Palestinians, is to help the Trump administration put pressure on Chairman Mahmoud Abbas to moderate his speech at the UN General Assembly.

The donor conference will also discuss projects related to water and electricity infrastructure in Gaza. According to Globes, Israel—specifically Coordinator of Activities in the Territories Major General Yoav Mordechai—decided that strengthening the Gaza government would enable the rehabilitation of Gaza and the resolution of cross-border environmental issues.

Israeli embassy in Ankara evacuated as demonstrators seek to portray upcoming Kurdish independence referendum as Zionist plot

THe Israeli Embassy in Ankara was evacuated on Friday as supporters of an ultra-nationalist party demonstrated outside against what they called plans to create a “second Israel” in Iraqi Kurdistan.

Utku Reyhan, secretary-general of the Homeland Party, said in a press statement that a unilateral independence referendum called for September 25 by the Kurdistan Regional Government was a “declaration of war by US imperialism and Israeli Zionism against countries in the region.”

Attempts to establish a Kurdish state, “which our party has been calling ‘Second Israel’ for 30 years,” threatened the territorial integrity of Turkey and Iraq, he charged.

JERUSALEM, Israel — Jerome Henri Cohen was born in Paris and he was also born a Jew. But despite his heritage, he was living a secular life, first as a journalist and then as a successful lawyer in the French capital.

Cohen did not feel any discrimination because of his heritage — until he decided to embrace Judaism. Things changed when he asked for time off from work to celebrate the Sabbath and other aspects of practicing his faith proved challenging.

That changed when the International Fellowship of Christians and Jews (IFCJ) helped Cohen move to Israel in July where, under Israeli right of return law, he was granted citizenship and is getting help for his first six months in his new homeland, including with housing and employment.
