Judge orders Clinton lawyers to face bar investigation in Maryland

By Stephen Dinan,The Washington Times – Monday, September 11, 2017

ANNAPOLIS — A Maryland judge ordered the state bar to open an investigation Monday into the three lawyers who helped former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton to delete her private emails.

Circuit Judge Paul F. Harris Jr. said the complaints lodged against David E. Kendall, Cheryl Mills and Heather Samuelson were “egregious” and said the state bar couldn’t brush them aside by calling them “frivolous.”

“There are allegations of destroying evidence,” Judge Harris said at a hearing Monday morning, where he said the state’s rules require the bar to conduct investigations no matter who raises the complaint, and can’t brush accusations aside.

Mueller’s probe focusing on potential money laundering ties to Russian oligarchs

 – The Washington Times – Sunday, September 10, 2017

Special counsel Robert Mueller is obsessed with President Trump’s network of business interests for suspected money laundering as a critical focus of his investigation into Russian meddling in the presidential election last year, according to sources from the intelligence community close to the former FBI director.

One of the sources, who spoke on the condition of anonymity, said the special counsel, who this year hired a staff of 16 lawyers with significant experience prosecuting such financial crimes, is focused on unraveling the Trump family’s tangled financial and real estate empire in a bid to find any connections to “dark money” investments from Russian oligarchs and organized crime figures.

By Frimet Roth, INN

Malki Roth was murdered in what is called the Sbarro restaurant suicide bombing 16 years ago. Her parents are fighting to see that her terrorist murderer, against whom the US has issued an extradition request, is brought to justice. The family hopes the US presses for extradition, is disappointed that Jordan does not honor its legal obligations to the US, and blames Israeli government figures for not caring about families of terror victims.

Arnold and Frimet Roth, the parents of Malki Hy”D, murdered in the Sbarro restaurant suicide bombing attack 16 years ago, were carefully optimistic on the day after the Purim holiday this year.

By David Rosenberg, INN

Deputy Foreign Minister Tzipi Hotovely (Likud) headed to Washington DC Monday morning for meetings with Trump administration officials and members of Congress, in part to promote the Foreign Ministry’s efforts to end the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) and the special status it has extended to generations of Arabs living across the Middle East.

While most refugees supported by the United Nations are aided through the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), aid to Palestinian Arabs claiming refugee status has been administered by UNRWA.

The IDF’s former deputy chief of staff, Maj.-Gen. Yair Golan told a security conference in Washington DC Friday Israel will not be able to fight against Iran without US assistance, according to reports on the website DefenseNews.

In order to achieve victory over Iran in any possible future military showdown, American help would be essential, he reportedly said during his speech at the Washington Institute.

“We cannot fight Iran alone,” Golan was reported as saying in the online publication. “They can affect us; we can affect them. It’s all about attrition. But if you want to gain something which is deeper, we cannot do it alone. This is a fact of life. It’s better to admit that.”

Increasingly, Israelis and their government have turned away from a two-state solution as envisaged by Pres Obama, and began looking for an alternate solution.

Many such solutions have been tabled by various Israelis, chief among them being Naftali Bennett, Caroline Glick, Martin Sherman, Moshe Feiglin but none of which have gotten any traction.

The same goes for the many variant “Jordan is Palestine” proposals made by such people as the late Benny Elon, Arieh Eldad and David Singer.

Not Shocking: George Soros Funds Progressive War on Israel

The billionaire’s agenda is to destroy the Jewish state

By Abraham H. Miller, THE OBSERVER

The recent hack of George Soros’ “charitable” giving revealed nothing new. The man who told journalist Steve Kroft in a televised interview that roaming the streets of Budapest with his faux godfather to confiscate the property of his fellow Jews for the Nazis was the most exhilarating time of his life has long had a problem with both his Jewish roots and the creation of a Jewish state.

Most revealing in the interview was Soros’ comment that he felt no guilt about what he had done during the war years—not even survivor’s guilt, common among those who live through a catastrophe, troubled him.

Is Shaked promoting a legal revolution in the West Bank?

Ayelet Shaked speaks to the ‘Post’ about a law that could alter how Israel’s legislation applies to Judea and Samaria, but its critics say it’s unconstitutional and tantamount to annexation.

By Tova Lazaroff, JPOST

The Settlements Regulations Law revolutionizes Israel’s perception of how the country’s laws relate to Judea and Samaria, Justice Minister Ayelet Shaked (Bayit Yehudi) told The Jerusalem Post in an interview late last week.

“We want to revolutionize our [legal] perception,” she said. “Foremost is that it is possible for [the Knesset] to legislate [for Judea and Samaria] and in addition that we don’t solve one injustice with another.”

Shaked spoke in advance of the expected submission to the High Court of Justice, possibly as early as Sunday, of a Knesset legal opinion with regard to the legality of the Settlements Regulation Law.

Israel up, Europe down

A quick trip leading a group of 25 Italian professionals, many of them non-Jews, who wanted to learn about Israel’s situation firsthand, left our Italian op-ed writer impressed – and a bit envious.

By Giulio Meotti, Arutz Sheva

Israel has never become a Republic or adopted a formal written Constitution, as if these reflect the tragic fate of the most tormented democracy in the world, which survived against any logic and proving that faith and ideas move the mountains. Israel is the only state in the world living with a fanatical enemy who is not afraid of dying in order to destroy the Jews (Iran is now financing Hamas and Hezbollah to prepare the next round of war).

Israel is the one state in the world not only poor of friends but also rich with enemies who would like to put it into the dustbin of history. And there are those repeating that Israel should allow the Arab armies pressing from all sides to come in and beat them through nonviolence and withdrawals. Today, this unconscious feeling of wishing to see Israel disappearing animates a great segment of international public opinion.

Israel, especially the right-wing and far-right forces, continue to put forward the Jordanian option, in the sense that the Palestinian state will be in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. In this context, the Begin Heritage Center announced the organization of a conference on the 17th of October to discuss the Jordanian option at various levels. According to the commercial advertisements published in the Hebrew media, many programs will discuss the option of solving the Palestinian issue at the expense of Jordan .

From Kidnapped Yemenite Children To Renewed Yemenite Village In Jerusalem

By Hillel Fendel and Chaim Siberbertein,
JP

Knesset Member Nurit Koren (Likud) is most famous for her efforts to expose the truth regarding the kidnapped Yemenite children in the early 1950s, but two weeks ago she had a chance to see a different, more positive aspect of Israel’s Yemenite-Jewish heritage.

Koren, who heads a special Knesset committee on the missing Yemenite children, was among several MKs and thousands of others who took part in a festive Torah scroll ceremony at the renovated ancient synagogue in the Yemenite Village in eastern Jerusalem. The synagogue stands in the Kfar Shiloach (Silwan) neighborhood just outside the Old City walls, below the Temple Mount.

A Smash Zionists Rally at the U of Illinois

Michael Finch. Please see the article below by Matthew Vadum at this morning’s FrontPageMag.com.  What vile anti Semitic filth spewed by these Islamo Nazis at the University of Illinois. U. of I. is a State publicly funded school, so where is the outcry from Governor Rauner, Speaker Madigan and the rest of the corrupt crew in Springfield?  All the moral preening about “hate speech” these past months and here you have student activists advocating actual violence and all we hear from the University and State leaders is the sound of crickets.  SJP needs to be defunded.

Students advocate violence as the “only option” against Zionists and other “fascists.”

By Matthew Vadum, FPM

The radical Students for Justice in Palestine organized a “Smash Fascism” rally this week at the University of Illinois to attack Zionism and the fiercely democratic State of Israel as a supposedly white-supremacist, fascist country.

What these left-wingers meant by “fascism” is subject to debate. Fascism has long been in the eye of the beholder. The term has been used so promiscuously in recent decades that it has been drained of meaning.

George Orwell’s observation in the essay, “Politics and the English Language,” that “The word Fascism has now no meaning except in so far as it signifies ‘something not desirable,’” is as true today as the day he wrote it.

How to Understand Israel’s Strike on Syria

HOW TO UNDERSTAND ISRAEL’S STRIKE ON SYRIA

By Amos Yadlin
New York Times (op-ed)
Sept. 8, 2017

In the early hours of Thursday night, according to the Syrian Army, the Israeli Air Force attacked a military site in the Syrian town of Masyaf that produces advanced missiles. Though the attack does not compare in strategic value to Syria’s Al Kibar nuclear reactor, which the Israeli Air Force destroyed a decade ago, it represents a major step in the right direction for Israel’s policy toward Syria. This strike sent five key messages – messages that point toward Israel adopting a more proactive strategy in confronting the threats posed by the Assad regime and its partners, Iran and Hezbollah.

Trump Admin Considering Demanding Israel Give Back Key U.S. Military Aid

State Dept. wants Trump to demand money back, sparking fight in Congress

By Adam Kredo, FREE BEACON

The Trump administration is considering forcing Israel to hand back some $75 million in U.S. aid dollars that were awarded by Congress following a hotly contested effort by the Obama administration to financially limit the U.S.-Israel military alliance, according to senior Congressional sources and others familiar with the situation.

Congress allocated Israel an additional $75 million in U.S. aid last year, bringing the total package to around $38 billion, despite attempts by the Obama administration to restrict Israeli efforts to lobby Congress in favor of greater funding for several key military projects.

COLUMN ONE: When great institutions lie

By publishing their findings under Stanford’s name, Kelman and his associates are using Stanford’s brand to give credence to their pseudo-academic research.

By Caroline B Glick, JPOST

over the past week, two major US institutions have produced studies that discredit their names and reputations as credible organizations. Their actions are important in and of themselves. But they also point to a disturbing trend in the US in which the credibility of important American institutions is being undermined from within by their members who pursue narrow partisan or ideological agendas in the name of their institutions.

The political implications of this larger trend were clearly in evidence in the 2016 presidential election. From a larger, long-term sociological perspective, if the current trend is not reversed the implications for American society will likely be long lasting and deeply destructive.

Waqf Refuses to Appear in Court Over Suspected Hamas Building on Temple Mount

JEWISH PRESS

Israel’s State Prosecutor’s office issued request to the Jerusalem Magistrate’s Court on behalf of Police Chief Roni Alsheich, that a permanent closure court order to be issued against a building on the Temple Mount near the Rachamim (Mercy) Gate, according to a report in Haaretz.

Until 2003, the building was used by an organization called the “Heritage Committee” which Israeli security forces said had strong ties to Hamas. The building was closed down, and the Islamic Waqf claims the “Heritage Committee” has ceased to exist, and the building belongs to the Waqf and they weren’t allowing any organizations to use it.

‘Nationalist hopes drive terrorism’

Habayit Hayehudi MK Bezalel Smotrich is offering Palestinians a choice: staying in Israel and making peace, being paid to emigrate, or ultimately losing a war against the IDF • What they will never have, he says, is a state of their own in Israel.

By Nadav Shragai, ISRAEL HAYOM

The ongoing alienation of political correctness from the Bible is having an effect. Deputy Foreign Minister Tzipi Hotovely saw that first-hand two years ago when she suggested that her ministry’s senior diplomatic personnel adopt the writings of 11th-century biblical commentator Rashi as a PR weapon to demonstrate that the Jewish people are the rightful owners of the land of Israel.

MK Bezalel Smotrich (Habayit Hayehudi) experienced the same thing when he sought to apply the three edicts that the biblical Joshua (as the story recounts) sent to the denizens of the land just before he entered it as a guide for how we should treat the Palestinians today: “Whoever desires to make peace, let him make peace; whoever desires to leave, let him leave; and whoever desires to make war, let him make war.”
