The State Department under Secretary Rex Tillerson has been locked in a growing power struggle with the White House that has angered officials in the West Wing and sparked claims that the Trump administration’s top diplomatic organ is now in “open war” with the White House on a range of critical issues, including the Israeli-Palestinian impasse, Iran, the crisis with Qatar, and other matters, according to multiple sources who spoke to the Washington Free Beacon about the situation.
The security services will do anything to prevent another intifada—including prop up Mahmoud Abbas.

Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas’s Fatah Party announced Saturday that the “campaign for Jerusalem has effectively begun, and will not stop until a Palestinian victory and the release of the holy sites from Israeli occupation.” Fatah demanded the removal of metal detectors and other security devices from the entrance to the Aqsa Mosque on the Temple Mount. A week earlier two Israeli policemen were killed by terrorists who had stashed their weapons inside the mosque.

Chaya Salomon was murdered at a Sabbath dinner with her family. The 46-year-old Jewish woman was stabbed to death alongside her 70-year-old father Yosef and her 36-year-old brother Elad.

There is no way to see the outcome of the standoff over metal detectors at the Temple Mount as a triumph for Israel’s government. After first refusing to remove them despite threats of Palestinian demonstrations and violence, and then seeing the beginning of what might be a new “stabbing intifada,” the reversal in response to what amounts to blackmail from Jordan will not help Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s popularity, although it may help him in Washington.
No matter how it tries to spin the measures that will replace the detectors as providing the same or better security, it still looks as though the Israeli government surrendered to violent threats. The same Palestinian Authority that fomented this controversy and that should be held responsible for the bloodshed — the original terror attack at the Temple Mount that killed two policemen and the subsequent slaughter in Halamish as well as the attack on the Israeli Embassy in Amman — will claim victory.

Attorney General Jeff Sessions and Reince Priebus, chief of staff, are not expected to last much longer in President Donald Trump’s Cabinet, one of the president’s longtime confidantes told LifeZette Monday.
The reason? Trump is deeply unhappy about the administration always being on defense, and he believes Sessions and Priebus have contributed to that situation. Trump believes it’s time for “fresh” faces — people who will fight.
Democrats have suggested for months that the Trump campaign or Trump associates might have helped Russia coordinate the release of the hacked information to WikiLeaks. There is no proof of that yet, and as liberal defense attorney Alan Dershowitz has pointed out, there is arguably nothing illegal about that scenario — even if there were truth to it.

That victory, however, may end up being short lived given the trajectory of the administration’s overall developing policy toward the regime in Tehran and the process by which the reoccurring 90-day certification of Iran took place in April and again on July 17.

Two words describe the Russian collusion accusations and investigation of President Trump: Sham and injustice. Robert Mueller, the special prosecutor, knows it. Rod Rosenstein, the Obama holdover Deputy Attorney General who appointed Mueller, knows it. Jeff Sessions, a decent man and attorney general who recused himself, knows it.
The Democrats know it. The left knows it. The mainstream media knows it. DC-owned and spine-free Republicans know it. Paul Ryan knows it.
Everybody knows it. But everyday Americans should really know this: the farce continues because powerful establishment interests are invested in destroying Donald Trump and his presidency.
That’s why the president should fire Mueller. It’s why Jeff Sessions needs to unrecuse himself. The president should shelve special prosecutions during his presidency. The law permits him to do so. Let U.S. district attorneys earn their keep.
Don’t send a pussy to a knife fight

My Leftist friends (as well as many ardent #NeverTrumpers) constantly ask me if I’m not bothered by Donald Trump’s lack of decorum. They ask if I don’t think his tweets are “beneath the dignity of the office.”
Here’s my answer:
We Right-thinking people have tried dignity. There could not have been a man of more quiet dignity than George W. Bush as he suffered the outrageous lies and politically motivated hatreds that undermined his presidency. We tried statesmanship. Could there be another human being on this earth who so desperately prized “collegiality” as John McCain? We tried propriety – has there been a nicer human being ever than Mitt Romney? And the results were always the same.
This is because, while we were playing by the rules of dignity, collegiality and propriety, the Left has been, for the past 60 years, engaged in a knife fight where the only rules are those of Saul Alinsky and the Chicago mob.

The Solomon family was massacred Friday night as they celebrated Shabbat and the birth of their newest grandson in their home. They were massacred by a 19 year old jihadist who posted an explanation of his imminent act of barbarous murder against his Jewish neighbors on Facebook less that two hours before he stormed their home in Neve Tzuf.
The murderer used the same language as his”moderate” “pro-peace” “legitimate” leader, PLO chief Mahmoud Abbas who said that Jews pollute the Temple Mount with our “filthy feet.”
JERUSALEM — In an extensive radio interview, Breitbart’s Jerusalem bureau chief and senior reporter Aaron Klein confronted an Islamic leader here about his false claim that Israel is attempting to limit Muslim worship at the holy site.
During the interview, Waleed Taha, the deputy chairman of the Islamic Movement, labeled the Western Wall an “occupied area” and rejected archaeological evidence and the historical record tying Jews to the site. Klein challenged Taha on those allegations, as well as the Temple Mount’s Islamic custodians’ attempts to dispose of Jewish artifacts from the site.

Kimberly Winkler, a University of Minnesota student from the Dominican Republic, owes her life to the staff at the Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital in Jerusalem.
Winkler came to Israel as a participant in the Taglit-Birthright Israel program, but almost died of a brain aneurysm during what was supposed to be a 10-day trip. Towards the end of her trip, she began suffering from severe headaches, and felt so unwell she had to miss the Friday night Shabbat meal.
“I stayed in the hotel with my friend Hunter, hoping that I would get better, but my situation only worsened,” she said. Hunter called her father, Dr. Grant Winkler, who happens to be an eye doctor. He told Hunter to “get some help.” At the same time, Winkler began having convulsions, and an ambulance was called and transferred her to the hospital.
Trump just appointed her Press Secretary.
When I asked Governor Mike Huckabee what the name “Huckabee” meant he told me it meant “up the hill”. At the time I thought it was a sign that he might become President some day.
I was wrong, but not completely so because his daughter became one of the most powerful people in the world this past week. She is indeed not only “up the hill” but on top of the hill. It is not unexpected. In 2010 Time Magazine voted her as one of the 40 under 40 top personalities in the world. That year she had helped run Senator John Boozman’s successful Campaign.

With tensions already boiling over the unrest surrounding the Temple Mount, Sunday’s incident at the Israeli embassy compound in Amman could mark a critical juncture in ties between Israel and Jordan.
In what was quite clearly a terror attack, an Israeli security guard was attacked with a screwdriver by a local carpenter, who was there fixing furniture. The guard opened fire, killing the attacker as well as the landlord, who was also on the premises.
It has become painfully clear that former US president Obama’s desire to make the Islamic Republic of Iran a “very successful regional power” has come to fruition. Iran is on the verge of creating its longsought Shi’ite Islamist land corridor from Tehran to the Mediterranean.
Unfortunately, Obama’s goal to develop “an equilibrium…between Sunni states and Iran in which there’s competition… but not an active or proxy warfare” has utterly failed. Just look at Syria, Iraq and Yemen.
T. Belman. Frisch embraces sovereignty and rejects power sharing because it doesn’t work. I see it differently. Islam demands submission of all to Islam. Any power sharing arrangement that they agree to is seen as temporary until it is strong enough to demand more power and ultimately domination. They have learnt that the more they terrorize and agitate, the more concessions they can wring out of the dominant power. The west in general and Israel in particular must not cede them any power. We are sovereign and they must accept it. No power sharing.

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: Regardless of its direct security merits, Israel’s decision to place metal detectors at the entrances to the Temple Mount has been transformed by adversaries and Israel alike into an issue of sovereignty over the Temple Mount. Power-sharing there has always constituted a slippery slope to disaster. The murder of two Israeli policemen at the Temple Mount is an appropriate moment to rectify the situation by reasserting Israeli sovereignty over the holy site.

Judging by the standard used by the authors of State Department’s reporting on Israel in the newly released Country Reports on Terrorism for 2016, the Palestinian terrorist who violently stabbed to death three Israelis and seriously wounded another as they celebrated the Shabbat and the birth of a new grandson should not be held responsible.
Why? Because as the State Department puts it, it is the “frustration” with and “perception” of Israel’s policies that drives Palestinian terrorists to murder Israelis.
