Judging by the standard used by the authors of State Department’s reporting on Israel in the newly released Country Reports on Terrorism for 2016, the Palestinian terrorist who violently stabbed to death three Israelis and seriously wounded another as they celebrated the Shabbat and the birth of a new grandson should not be held responsible.

Why?  Because as the State Department puts it, it is the “frustration” with and “perception” of Israel’s policies that drives Palestinian terrorists to murder Israelis.

Now that the metal detectors on the Temple Mount have been splattered with the blood of murdered Jews — a grandfather, a father and a sister slaughtered at the hands of a miserable wretch who unfortunately stayed alive (why?!) — to back down and remove them would be shameful and a disgrace, as well as a legitimization of bloodshed. Furthermore, anyone who thinks that removing the metal detectors will diminish the desire to murder Jews among those who wish to destroy us is dangerously mislead.

Pay no mind to the repeated accusations of “Jewish radicalism.” They are part of what prominent poet Nathan Alterman described in a poem after the Six-Day War about the Devil’s attempts to defeat the Jewish people not by use of force, but rather — “only this shall I do: I will dull his mind and cause him to forget the justice of his cause.”

Now, not surprisingly given Mueller’s highly politicized and leftist legal team, Jeannie Rhee is investigating Donald Trump’s alleged collusion with Russia during the 2016 presidential campaign as one of Mueller’s top lawyers. Will she and the others conjure Trump illegality? As they say in the South, “Do bears – these ones Russian bears – live in the woods?”

The brutal stabbing attack at Halamish, which left a grandfather of 70, his son and daughter dead while still in their 40s and a grandmother of 78 badly injured – when the family was gathered for the Sabbath Eve meal on Friday, July 21 – was no random act of terror. It followed directly and consistently on the murder of two Israeli police guards on Temple Mount exactly one week earlier. The planners of the first outrage, perpetrated by three Israeli Arabs, knew exactly that such action would ignite flames which would claim many Israeli and Palestinian lives.

They argued that the introduction of anti-tank guided missiles rendered the tank obsolete. How wrong they were. True to form Israel will cave

The government’s security cabinet is slated to hold a discussion Sunday regarding the mounting tensions between Israel and the Palestinians over the government’s decision to install metal detectors at the entrance to the Temple Mount complex in Jerusalem following last week’s deadly terror attack in which two Israeli policemen were killed by three Muslim terrorists.

Channel 10 reported Saturday night that Public Security Minister Gilad Erdan is expected to talk to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in order to check out alternatives to the metal detectors, including the option of using full body scanners but without conducting an invasive inspection of visitors to the site.

Christiane Amanpour was on my balcony scanning the Mount of Olives and the Temple Mount with her eyes. The CNN journalist had come to my home to interview me about “settlers” and the Bible, and I guessed from her line of British accented-questioning – “but do you hear God telling you to take this land?” – that she was hoping to ensnare me into saying something politically incorrect and juicy.

Suddenly, her eyes locked on the large Israeli flag fluttering on the balcony and asked: “What is the symbolism of the two blue lines on the flag – is it that Israel will control the land between the Nile and the Euphrates?”

Three Israelis were killed and another was seriously wounded in a stabbing attack in the West Bank settlement of Halamish on Friday night when a terrorist broke into their home and began stabbing the family as they ate their Shabbat dinner.

The IDF said a Palestinian assailant killed a man and two of his children, while his wife was badly wounded and taken to hospital. The man’s grandchildren were present but not harmed, the army said.

Israel and Jordan are planning to form a joint committee to devise security arrangements on the Temple Mount that would be acceptable to all sides, Israel Hayom learned Thursday.

The decision comes amid rising tensions over Israel’s decision to install metal detectors at the entrance to the compound in response to the deadly terrorist attack near one of the gates to the Temple Mount last Friday. Muslim worshippers view the security measure as an attempt by Israel to expand its control over the site, which is holy to both Jews and Muslims, while Israel insists the measure is meant only to prevent attacks.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s “Budapest speech,” in which he urged Europe to stop supporting the Palestinians, was the clearest expression yet of his worldview. He arrived as an international rock star and crony of U.S. President Donald Trump; the leaders of Poland, Slovakia and the Czech Republic flew in to meet him alongside his Hungarian host.

In a semi-closed forum, Netanyahu dispensed with the restraints and niceties that characterize his official speeches, abandoned political correctness and let loose. At least in the section broadcast to journalists (apparently by mistake), he didn’t speak about “peace” or the “two-state solution,” but about Israel’s growing power to help form alliances with other countries, a message repeated in all his speeches of the last year.
