Ayelet Shaked speech at NYC Arutz Sheva event

Justice Minister speaks about the unity of Jerusalem, Judea & Samaria as eternally bound to Israel, and the fight against BDS.

By Eiran Aharon, ARUTZ SHEVA

Last Sunday the whole world stood together in memory of the victims of the September 11 attacks.
15 years have passed but the war of the free world against radical Islamic terrorism is still far from over.

A direct line connects the criminals who planned and perpetrated the September 11 attacks and the accursed terrorists who this year attacked innocents in Orlando and in Jerusalem, in Paris and in Tel Aviv, in Brussels and in Kiryat Arba.

Ross: Trump win could lead Obama to back 2-state move at UN

T. Belman. Don’t think for a minute, that Israeli demands are limited to security and minimal refugees. That’s just for starters. Israel rejects ’67 lines as borders and a division of Jerusalem. Netanyahu may be ready to cave but the government will fall before that happens.

Ross says that Trump couldn’t undo such a resolution. I think otherwise. The GOP platform which Trump supports says “We oppose any measures intended to impose an agreement or to dictate borders or other terms, and call for the immediate termination of all US funding of any entity that attempts to do so.” This means that a Trump administration would cut off funding for the UN.

Outgoing president would want to create standards his successor cannot undo, Dennis Ross says at Palo Alto confab on future of Zionism sponsored by The Times of Israel

PALO ALTO, California — A looming Donald Trump presidency would make it more likely for lame-duck US President Barack Obama to support a United Nations Security Council resolution laying down the basic parameters for the creation of Palestinian state, a former top US official said Sunday.

“I suspect that if Trump wins, the president would be more inclined to go for a Security Council resolution to try to do something that binds, creates standards for the future that the next president couldn’t undo,” Dennis Ross said at a conference on the future of Zionism and the US-Israel relationship. “If Clinton wins, I suspect he [Obama] would be more sensitive to her concerns as to whether this helps or hurt her.”

‘All terrorists must be killed,’ says famed IDF general (res.) at Hebron shooter trial

By Yonah Jeremy Bob, JPOST

Image result for elor azaria trial

Three ISDF generals were testifying on behalf of IDF Sgt. Elor Azria as the trial into the case of the soldier’s shooting of a subdued Palestinian terrorist continued at the Jaffa Military Court on Monday.

In what could possibly be the most consequential day of the trial so far, the generals are expected argue that Azaria’s actions were justified given the dangerous circumstances surrounding the incident.

The generals were also due to testify that they had seen worse behavior from soldiers in the past who had not been tried for criminal offenses in court.

First ISIS-Al Qaeda cooperation for US bombings

DEBKA

The same cell phone-activated mechanisms were found in the explosive device that injured 29 people in the Chelsea district of New York, Sunday, Sept. 18, the unexploded pressure cooker found on 27th Street and the pipe bomb, the only one of three which exploded harmlessly before a Marines charity run in New Jersey.

This was discovered in the preliminary local and federal investigations of the string of weekend terrorist events.

Is settlement construction a war crime?

By Ted Belman

The Rome Statute (1998) created the International Criminal Court (ICC) and gave it jurisdiction over war crimes which it defined to be:

israeli_settlement_of_ofra(a)     Grave breaches of the Geneva Conventions of 12 August 1949

(b)     Other serious violations of the laws and customs applicable in international armed conflict, within the established framework of international law, namely, any of the following acts:

ICC report says action against Israel wont be taken in the near future

The majority of the world sees the settlement issue to be a war crime, the ICC not in a rush to investigate Israel.

By Yonah Jeremy Bob, JPOST

The Hague

A report by the International Criminal Court Prosecution explaining its methodology for prioritizing which cases to push forward with the fastest indicates that it is unlikely to take action against Israel in the near future, but that settlements as war crimes may eventually be center-stage.

Since January 2015, ICC Prosecutor Fatou Bensouda has been preliminarily examining Israel and “Palestine” for alleged war crimes violations relating to the 2014 Gaza war.

Les Miserables becomes Les Deplorables

By James P Pinkerton, BREITBART

Les Deplorables AP

There’s something happening here. And what it is, well, it’s perfectly clear: There’s a peaceful revolution rumbling through the country. On one side of the metaphorical barricade: Donald Trump and his “deplorables.” On the other side: Hillary Clinton and her close allies, the Mainstream Media.

Trump raised the stakes Friday night in Miami. As Breitbart News headlined, “Trump Makes Entrance to ‘Do You Hear the People Sing?’ with ‘Les Deplorablés’ Banner.” The lyrics heard were these:

By Erez Linn, News Agencies, ISRAEL HAYOM

An adviser with Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump’s campaign said Saturday that a Trump administration would work to increase defense aid to Israel beyond the most recent deal signed between Washington and Jerusalem.

Indian-American student becomes pro-Israel symbol for trying to stay neutral

‘The administration is working in collusion with BDS activists… I really feel bad for the Jewish student body’

BY GABE FRIEDMAN

JTA — When Milan Chatterjee arrived at UCLA’s law school in 2014, Middle East politics wasn’t one of his core interests. He describes himself as an Indian American interested in corporate law who has strong connections to his South Asian and Hindu heritage. He has played the Indian tabla drums on multiple recordings with prominent Indian musicians.

But now Chatterjee, who was the Graduate Student Association president at UCLA, has chosen to leave the school before completing his degree in the wake of a nearly yearlong battle with activists of the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions movement against Israel.

US admits coalition airstrike against Syrian military position

Moscow estimates death toll at 62, but monitoring group counts 83; US ‘relayed our regret’ to Damascus through Russia

The Pentagon admitted the US-led coalition fighting the Islamic State (IS) group in Syria may have struck Syrian military positions inside the country on Saturday after Russia accused it of killing at least 62 Syrian troops.

“Coalition forces believed they were striking a Daesh fighting position,” Central Command, known as Centcom, said in a statement, using an alternate term for the IS group. “The coalition air strike was halted immediately when coalition officials were informed by Russian officials that it was possible the personnel and vehicles targeted were part of the Syrian military.”

BULLSEYE

Dr. Ben Carson scored a rim shot  in responding to Hillary’s slander:

In a very telling moment, Hillary Clinton maligned me and millions of other Americans as racist, sexist, homophobic, xenophobic and Islamophobic ‘deplorables.’

“I’m so tired of this line of attack that normally taunts conservatives. Well, let me be very specific in my response. I believe in expanding opportunity, not welfare; that’s not racist.

“I believe every life is worth protecting, particularly the unborn; that doesn’t make me sexist.

“I believe marriage is between one man and one woman; that’s not homophobic.

“I believe in borders, the rule of law and our sovereign right to decide who to let into our country; that’s not xenophobic.

“I believe radical Islam is a mortal threat to America and Western civilization; that is common sense, not Islamophobia.”

NEWSWEEK: OBAMA EXACTS COLD REVENGE ON NETANYAHU

T. Belman. This article attempts to answer the question raised today by me. Why did Bibi sign? The author suggests that Netanyahu is afraid of what a Trump presidency would mean for Israel. I don’t buy it . Remember, Newsweek is not a friend of Israel/

BY  ,

Israeli Prime Minister Adresses The U.S. Congress
They say revenge is a dish best served cold.

It’s clear that President Obama got his revenge on Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu this week. Netanyahu was forced to hail the new memorandum of understanding (MOU) signed between Washington and Jerusalem as a historic achievement for Israel.

It is nominally the largest commitment of aid that the United States has ever given to any country. Politically, Netanyahu can’t afford to admit that the agreement is far from perfect, and his spokesman constantly repeated what an excellent agreement it is.

State Department purged emails about $300,000 grant to anti-Netanyahu group

By Adam Kredo, FREE BEACON

Congress on Friday launched a wide-ranging probe into a secret Obama administration-funded campaign to unseat Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, according to information exclusively obtained by the Washington Free Beacon.

The probe comes on the heels of an internal government report determining that the State Department provided hundreds of thousands to an organization that plotted to unseat Netanyahu in the country’s 2015 election.

Israel signs $38 billion MOU with the US

By Ted Belman

I have been against this deal ever since the details have been coming out:-

– The increase in the amount didn’t cover 10 years inflation
– It also didn’t include an increase promised by Obama to protect Israel from the Iran deal.
– It included the yearly money that Israel got separately from Congress.
– It phased out Israel’s right to spend 25% in Israel thereby crippling Israel’s defense Industry.
– It barred Israel from getting more money from Congress and said if Congress gave her money she would have to apply it to the $38 billion.

The left in Israel found reason to criticize Netanyahu.

Iran Could Spend More Than $1 Billion of $1.7 Billion Windfall on Terror

T. Belman. A military analyst and ISRAPUNDIT reader, when transmitting to me this article, also sent me a progress note on a study in process: “Tracking sources of international funding for terror operations.”

The information contained in this progress note, while in the public domain, is not widely known. I have verified the information and am reproducing it to further inform the readers of ISRAPUNDIT.

Military Analyst. The process of preparing and vetting the unclassified report [Tracking sources of international funding for terror operations ] is proving to be a more complex, time-consuming project that originally anticipated.
