Peloni: As Trump continues to await the economic implosion of the Iranian regime, the Iranians are becoming more and more intent upon making it impossible for Trump not to return to war with their overtly nonsensical negotiating terms.
Iran’s top national security official warned Saturday that the Strait of Hormuz will remain closed until the United States “corrects its behavior,” issuing a sweeping list of demands as Vice President JD Vance said Washington remains in the “middle of the game” and is continuing to apply diplomatic, economic, and military pressure on Tehran.

New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani has repeatedly declared that Israel committed genocide in Gaza. In July he went further. While invoking the International Criminal Court warrant against Benjamin Netanyahu, he called Netanyahu “the architect of the genocide against Palestinians in Gaza” and insisted that these were “facts of public record,” not his personal assessment.

Israel has yet to sign off formally on U.S. President Donald Trump’s Gaza plan based on intelligence that suggests Hamas is seeking to limit Israel’s ability to act militarily.
In a recent FT article by Malcolm Moore and Andrew England, it was revealed that the renewed US naval blockade of Iran has effectively halted oil exports from Kharg Island, Iran’s main crude-export terminal. No tankers have reportedly loaded there since July 31, and shipping and satellite data indicate sharply reduced tanker activity.

Figuratively the term Waterloo means a crushing defeat and is a reference to the Battle of Waterloo, the final battle of the Napoleonic Wars (1803-1825) when Napoleon was decisively and conclusively defeated. Peloni: More “sources say” reporting which is trying to influence the end to the war in Iran, but is instead having the very real effect of emboldening the Iranians at America’s expense. These leaks, no matter whether they are well founded or if they are designed to undermine the Trump administration’s war efforts, have led to the Iranians now upping their demands in the current negotiations rather than conceding to Trump’s own demands of opening the Straits and ending their nuclear program.

U.S. Joint Chiefs Chairman Gen. Dan Caine, the highest-ranking general in the U.S. military, has reportedly privately advised the Trump administration to pursue an “off-ramp” in the Iran war amid concerns about Washington’s limited military options.
Peloni: I look forward to seeing the people of Iran winning back their freedom from the oppression under which they currently exist. I had hoped that the time of the rescue of the Iranian people was at hand this past spring, but it appears that if they are to be rescued, the source of that rescue will come from within their own ranks and society.

Enough is enough. Iran’s soul is not defined by Islam. Its spirit cannot be cagedbya barbarian ideology imposed upon the civilisation of Iran. Peloni: (Aug 1) This is a very important and informative fifteen minute video which offers a highly granular look at the manner in which Iran is able to evade sanctions, what actions are needed to prevent this evasion, and where things stand today.
Peloni: A bleak outlook for America and its allies in the coming years as the expense and emphasis on defensive measures are failing for a variety of reasons discussed below.
While President Trump says the US is not short of weapons he has told Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky that the US does not have Patriot interceptors to send to Ukraine because “we need them for ourselves.”
The best face to put on the situation is that some in the Pentagon leaked information that US stockpiles of critical weapons were dangerously depleted. The urgency in the leak came from the possible renewal of hostilities against Iran and the fear that it would become close to impossible to defend against Iranian missile and drone strikes if supplies ran out. Others think the leaks were inspired by Iran war opponents trying to scuttle a decision to resume attacks against Iran.
Peloni: The line between security and freedom is being blurred with an eye towards future control mechanisms which are not only inherent in Chinese Smart Cities, but which are absolutely vital to any such replication of such totalitarian systems being implemented in the West.
De-Flocking America isn’t enough. It is well past time to rein in the psychopaths who run our governments, starting at the local level.

I woke up to a bizarre headline in my local newspaper one day earlier this week here in Newnan, a small city of roughly 46,000 population in Coweta County, Georgia.
Peloni: Even as Iran stands on the brink of complete decimation, weakness is all that seems to face it from the Sunni side of the Muslim divide. Indeed, Saudi Arabia, often referred to as ‘the Kingdom’ for its commanding position among the Sunni nations is desperate to find a protector which will secure its fate while refusing to compromise on its recognition of Israel or on its terror of having to fend for itself. It is interesting that the Saudis failed to learn the lesson which the Arabs taught to the Romans of what comes from trusting enemies to defend one’s borders as the Saudis are now turning to neo-Ottoman Turkey of all nations to presumably secure its fate from the Iranians.
President Trump must end all negotiations with the terrorist Iranian Islamic regime. Talking to the mullahs is not diplomacy—it is self-delusion. For more than four decades, this regime has perfected the art of lying, stalling, deceiving, and violating every commitment it has ever made. History is unambiguous: the only path to lasting victory against this enemy is the complete elimination of its leadership, clearing the way for Iranians who actually want change to seize it.
Peloni: In these times of war and intrigue, it is notable reflect upon the adage that “if you come for the king, you best not miss.” Note further that though there have been numerous assassination attempts against Trump in recent years and weeks, from the sublime to the ridiculous, one of the most serious attempts was perhaps the recently exposed attempt to kill the President while leaving the recent NATO summit supposedly based on revelations made by the former chief of the US Air Force. For my own thoughts on this matter, what is more remarkable than the audacity of the attempt, or even the intel source related to this security failure, is the fact that Trump is continuing to negotiate with those who so recently tried to have him murdered for the fourth or fifth time, while the accused source of the intelligence leak which presumably made this latest attempt possible is currently facing nothing more severe than the loss of access to further sensitive information. So long as Washington fails to react to serious threats against the life of their chief executive as being serious attacks upon the American nation, the threats against the life of the American President will be motivated to increase rather than to dissipate, and the trivialization of these attempts as made evident by the lack of credible responses to them will have significant repercussions to the office of the presidency long after Trump leaves the White House. The above sited refrain about coming for the king must be reinforced with a credible and devastating response because failing to do so anticipates the continuation of the recurring pattern of assaults on the life of the president with impunity, which will sooner or later be accompanied with a devastating consequence.
Peloni: We are given to believe that the US is out of option, but the truth is that the options available to Trump are quite numerous in fact, as detailed by John Spencer in his recent article: What Options Does the United States Have Left in Iran? Actually, Many. The question of options is not the issue, the question of political will is what will distinguish which if any of these options are employed. There are significant political and geopolitical ramifications for both acting and failing to act, and this is no doubt the basis on which Trump is basing his preference for delaying decisive actions after announcing imminent strikes. Unfortunately, this too is having an effect, which is undermining confidence in American resolve by many, such as is being voiced by Maj.-Gen. (res.), Eitan Ben Eliyahu below.

Israel’s former commander of the Air Force warned that the U.S. military leverage is slowly eroding amid the repeated threats by President Donald Trump, followed by assurances that an agreement between the United States and the Iranian regime is imminent.
Peloni: Europe is changing, and this change has not been subtle nor has it been handled with care, but quite the opposite is true. An conquering nidus has been introduced all across Europe which is entirely antithetical to European standards and norms. Note that this foreign element is forming voting blocks which are directly influencing governing institutions with such success that Muslim grooming gangs were protected in England for decades as the innocence of that nation’s children were openly exploited with the support of those who should have acted and instead remained silent. In a land where the most basic values are being reshuffled to support a radical Muslim ideological need for conquest and subjugation of Europe, the shock of hearing of Jew Hunts being conducted and popularized might seem to be less than shocking, but I have to confess, I am still shocked by the cognitive dissonance coincident with the recognition that Europe has fallen, in many ways too terrible to easily grasp. Indeed, this is true even after nearly two years have past since that terrible day when hunting Jews came to fill the unsatiated zeal associated with a foot ball tournament in Amsterdam on November 7, 2024. Hence, as the world is changing, we must come to recognize this change, and act accordingly. Indeed, as English moms and dads are no longer able to trust their children’s safety to the institutions which should have insulated the lives of hundreds of thousands of children, Jews should be cognizant of the fact that, well, we are no longer talking about the Europe which existed even just a few years ago. Many Jews will still venture to see the great relics and artifices of old Europe, but truth is that we should acclimate to the changes rising in Europe, and see vacations in lands which are becoming less similar to the likes of Jordan and Egypt.

When opening the You Tube sent to me, I first thought that this handsome, young, Israeli war veteran was Ryan Gosling (remember the movie, “Crazy, Stupid, Love?”), but when I heard Tal Vaknin’s hauntingly beautiful voice, it touched my heart and soul in such a way that I was reminded of another earlier young man who has shared his love and passion for the Land, People, and eternal G_d of Israel since he was born within the very same week (May 8th) as Israel’s miraculous rebirth on May 14, 1948…myself.
