The UN Tried Covering For Iran & Trump Taught Them A BRUTAL Lesson

Peloni:  Rabbi Pesach Wolicki addresses the useless nature of the UN even while dealing with a rogue state which is bombarding its neighbors, seizing waterways, and attacking shipping.  He also raises the possibility that Trump is using this fairly obvious resolution which objects to these behaviors as a test for the viabilty of the UN going forward.

States “Banning CAIR” Won’t Work: The Muslim Brotherhood Doesn’t Have Membership Cards

Janet Levy:  Very important analysis!

The Muslim Brotherhood has operated in the U.S. for decades, way before 9/11.

As some MB organizations have been shut down and some individuals have been convicted, their many branches have been reorganized and rebranded, becoming new nonprofits or operating under other existing MB organizations and structures.

“Declaring the Muslim Brotherhood dangerous or threatening to designate CAIR may generate headlines, but if officials are serious, the focus must move toward investigating nonprofit operations, financial relationships, regulatory compliance, tax filings, grant structures, and institutional coordination networks already operating inside the United States.”

If Officials Were Serious, Investigations Would Already Be Underway, And Real Legislation Targeting Nonprofit Abuse Would Already Be On The Table

The new U.S. Counterterrorism Strategy directly names the Muslim Brotherhood as “the root of all modern Islamist terrorism predicated on recreating the Muslim Caliphate and killing or enslaving non-Muslims.” At the same time, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis signed legislation targeting Muslim Brotherhood and CAIR financing into nonprofits, while Texas Governor Greg Abbott ordered a cease-and-desist against TexAM, an Islamic university accused of operating unlawfully. In both Texas and Florida, CAIR is “declared a foreign terrorist organization.” While these actions suggest that some officials are beginning to understand the scale of the problem, they still do not amount to an actual enforcement strategy.

New U.S. Counterterrorism Strategy Spotlights Muslim Brotherhood

Peloni:  It continues to remain an inexplicable fact that, as the Trump administration has begun moving towards dealing with the aspects of the Muslim Brotherhood in Jordan, Egypt, Lebanon and Sudan, those chapters of the MB which are most closely associated with wielding violence and influence within the US have thus far been left unaddressed in either action or word.   Given America’s role as the world’s superpower, the ability of the MB to act without consequence or threat within the US borders, itself borders on insanity, and at the very least questionable policy sense.

Amid the war with Iran, the Trump administration has not forgotten about the Muslim Brotherhood. On May 6, the White House released its 2026 counterterrorism strategy,  identifying the Muslim Brotherhood as “the root of all modern Islamist terrorism” and promising “to crush the organization everywhere it operates.” Building on previous action taken against Muslim Brotherhood chapters in Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, and Sudan, the administration stated that it will “soon” designate additional Brotherhood branches as Foreign Terrorist Organizations (FTOs).

Tehran issues new threats against American interests in Persian Gulf following recent attacks

Peloni:  As Trump demonstrates the ability to project patience to the point of being mistaken as indifference, Iran is acting on Trump’s inaction, and is in fact exponentially expanding its domineering role over the region with both seizing and now taxing the Strait of Hormuz.  The radicals running Iran today mean for Trump to renew the war, and are themselves providing what would otherwise be described as a pretext, but is in fact, a very real need to eradicate the Iranian regime.  If you haven’t read the article by Yossi Baum, this would be a good moment to do so.

There’s No Education in The Second Kick of a Mule

The Ayatollah Narco-Jihad on the US in Latin America

Ambassador (ret.) Yoram Ettiner | “Second Thought: a US-Israel Initiative” | May 10, 2026

*According to the West Point Center for Combatting Terrorism: “Iran and its proxies have spent years investing in a ‘homeland option’ in the US. In just the past five years, US authorities have disrupted at least 17 Iranian plots in the homeland…. In its 2025 Threat Assessment, the Director of National Intelligence assessed that Iran “will continue to directly threaten US persons globally and remains committed to its decade-long effort to develop surrogate networks inside the US…. The Department of Homeland Security’s 2025 Threat Assessment [and the FBI] concurred, reporting ‘we expect Iran to remain the primary sponsor of terrorism and continue its efforts to advance plots against individuals – including current and former US officials – in the US.’ Such plots have been on the rise in recent years…. In early 2024…, a network of [Iranian] individuals targeted Iranian dissidents and opposition activists [in the US] for assassination at the direction of the Iranian regime…. According to the FBI, Hezbollah has maintained a presence in the US since at least 1987.”

Iran: The International Chess Game – Who Will Be the One to Snap the Rope

Peloni: What will be the straw that breaks the IRGC’s back?  Stated differently, what will it take to see Trump finish the war, something which was always clearly needed.

What actually happened here on Thursday evening, and where is all this going? Analysis:

Natasha Hausdorff examines legal claims against Israel in former ambassadors’ letter

Peloni: Natasha Hausdorff responds to a call for EU sanctions by a group of former UK ambassadors in a letter to the Financial Times based on claims that Israel is “violating international law”.  Of course, the letter is based on fanciful interpretations of international law and selective use of sanctions so as to support the ongoing anti-Israel and antisemitic campaigns ongoing in the US.

The Jew-Hatred Pandemic No Longer a Mystery

Peloni:  Joan Swirsky once again hits the mark perfectly in the following review and analysis of the surrealistic phenomenon which seems to have warped the world in the aftermath of October 7, but was in fact simply part of the coordinated work product aimed at bringing down Western civilization, and more specifically the American Republic.

We’ve cracked the case.

Ceasefire Theatre: The Hezbollah Exception — Where Reality Is Inconvenient

Peloni:  The folly of Western support for the Islamist Iranian regime’s hegemony over Lebanon is as nonsensical and distorted as has been the West’s support for the Islamist regime’s hegemony over the Iranian people.  Is it possible that the ultimate outcome of the current wars in Lebanon and Iran will seek to maintain this old hat policy while describing it as a new hat?  As the US insists that Hezbollah’s dominance in Lebanon can be eliminated with enough resolve from the Lebanese govt which lacks the governing capability to even meet with the Israelis, to have disarmed a single Hezbollah unit, or to even eject what should be understood to be Hezbollah’s most immediate superior in Lebanon, the Iranian ambassador.  As Trump is still carving out a safe space in negotiations for the survival of the Mullah regime in Iran, he is simultaneously doing so for Hezbollah’s continued survival in Lebanon, and both of these propositions should be understood to be preserving the stabilization of instability which should be understood to be counter productive to American interests as well as that of her regional allies.

There are few things in modern journalism as reliable as the sunrise, the tide, and the headline: Israel violates ceasefire.” It appears with precision that one suspects it is pre-written, waiting patiently in a newsroom drawer, needing only the date and a suitably indignant quote from “international observers” to complete it. Rockets may fly, tunnels may open, drones may hum across borders—but the true emergency, we are told, is that Israel has responded.

Should Trump insist on Iranian regime change? Debate with Jonathan Shanzer | Prove It! with Batya

Peloni:  Jonathan Schanzer, Executive Director at the Foundation for Defense of Democracies, joins News Nation’s Batya Ungar-Sargon in a debate about the importance and possibilities of regime change in Iran.  Focus on about 20 minutes of the conversation starting around 10min mark.  It is interesting that Batya’s position vs that of Jonathan calls to mind an article posted by Amit Segal earlier this week which describes the contest between the IDF brass and that of the Mossad where the former feels the ultimate goal is dealing with Iran’s nuclear program and the latter believes the focus should be maintained on regime change.  As Schanzer explains, the very problem with an agreement to eliminate Iran’s nuclear program today, while preserving the current regime, would face the same impossible challenges as did Obama’s JCPOA, which was what Trump has railed against since before entering politics ten years ago. Arguments of domestic US economic costs along with fears of Iranian civil war fail to address this pivotal flaw in the arguments opposing regime change, both from Batya, but also from the IDF leadership.  Jonathan and the Mossad stand squarely correct in calling for regime change in Iran being fundamental goal of the war.

Local PA Elections Elect New Radicals to Public Offices

Peloni:  This revelation is so unrevealing that while it is a concerning development, the development is far from surprising that a radicalized population would elect radicals as their leaders.  Welcome to the Reformed PA…What is most disturbing about the radicalism within the PA, both in its population, its society and teaching/religious institutions, and its leadership, is that its role as an American equity has yet to change.  Washington’s dependency upon this corrupt personification of evil as its proxy among the Muslims in Judea and Samaria provides a mendacious outlook on which the future is intended to be based.  We live in revolutionary times, so is it really too revolutionary for Washington to awaken to the fact that the Frankenstein monster of the PA upon which the American Peace Processors have based their hopes, has no interest in peace, but rather, the PA, its emerging newly elected leaders, and the Muslim population which they represent, have no interest in peace and every interest in war and terror.  Until Washington gives up its dependency on practicing the insanity of doing the same thing over and over again, Jews will die needlessly, and the lives of the Muslims in Judea and Samaria will fail to be improved in any way.  This is because Jew Hatred, rather than self preservation or self improvement, is their greatest common cause.  This is the fundamental truth which Washington consistently ignores.  Until the recurring folly changes, nothing will change precisely because nothing has changed.

The Times of Israel blog post by Esther Braun is a sophisticated and necessary piece of analysis. It shifts the lens away from the daily skirmishes in the Strait of Hormuz and focuses on the longer-term strategic chess game the IRGC is playing in Africa. She argues that while the world watches Iran bleed in the Persian Gulf, the regime is quietly building a “shadow infrastructure” in Sudan to preserve its ability to threaten global shipping lanes for years to come.

Israel needs long-term Iran strategy before US nuclear deal holds it back for good

Peloni:  While the talk of victory has been a consistent theme since October 7, where is the path which will take us from where we are to that precious promise where the butchers and enablers of October 7 will be eliminated, both for the calumny which they wrought on the Jews of the Gaza Envelop on October 7, and the threat which they pose at doing the same again for all the people of Israel.

Talk of remaking the region requires a vision that goes beyond more war on multiple fronts. If Israel can’t get to the next stage, then the years of war may have been wasted.

By SETH J. FRANTZMAN | MAY 7, 2026

As Iran and the US appear to be seeking an agreement that could see the Strait of Hormuz open and Iran’s nuclear program addressed, it remains unclear what Israel’s strategy will be going forward. Israel has been fighting a multifront war since the October 7 massacre. Hamas essentially enabled Iran to coordinate a larger series of attacks against Israel. Iran brought in Hezbollah, the Houthis, and militias in Iraq.

The war that began on October 7, 2023, has now gone through several phases. The initial phase for Israel was focused on recovering from the huge losses on the day itself and preparing for a large war.
