Peloni:  This was a very disappointing surrender by the Trump administration.  Required reforms at the UN must include more than simply cutting spending and waste.  There is real and substantive abuse of power wielded from the UN, from the highest echelons including the UN Secretary General, to UN envoys, to UN institutions which wield influence around the world.  Antisemitism and anti-Westernism is the hallmark of policies pushed thru by the UN to such a degree that it should be dismantled from top to bottom, or at least be left unfunded til such reforms are demonstrated as evidence that these biases have been addressed.  Instead, there seems to be not even a mention of dealing with the institutionalized systemic abuses inherent in the entire United Nations system.  Very regretful.

Peloni:  Trump has one, and only one, opportunity to change the situation regarding Iran, and negotiations play no role in what is needed.  Clear Red Lines, which hold the commitment of Trump’s will to enforce them, would prove decisive in dealing with Iran.   Instead, Trump’s repeated moving goalposts only play to the strengths of the Mullahs who have slaughtered their people, expanded their missile arsenal, openly threatened Trump, his administration, and his armed forces, while holding to their demands of continuing their nuclear ambitions in one form or another.  Hence, if Trump has assembled the largest military force in the region in decades only to bluff the Mullahs into surrendering, the Mullahs have already won, even as Trump will come to claim victory for the faux wins which might be promised by the Mullahs across the negotiating table.

To date, President Trump has not truly negotiated with anyone. Instead, he has dictated his will to countries dependent on him, with one exception: Russia, over ending the war in Ukraine, negotiations that, as is well known, have gone nowhere.

Peloni: Western rejection of the Muslim Brotherhood must become universal and complete.  Arab govts whose stated ideology reflect not only an animus for Western values, but a goal of subjugating them through coercive, if not militant means, should gain at least an equal focus of US sanctions and criminal prosecution as those in Jordan, Egypt and Lebanon, if not more so as they are weaponizing financial support in the US towards the complete perversion of the values on which the US and the West are based.  So, as Jonathan Feldstein suggests, Trump’s initial ban is only a first step which needs to be followed with additional steps, both in the US and around the world, as discussed by Mudar Zahran & Yisrael Ne’eman in the below article.

Peloni:  The political-security cabinet approved a sweeping set of decisions which significantly level the legal, civil, and land-administration framework overseeing the governance in Judea & Samaria. The measures, formulated under the leadership of the Settlement Administration within the Defense Ministry, are designed to dismantle longstanding legal barriers, repeal anti-Jewish Jordanian-era laws, and streamline procedures related to land registration and property transactions. Central to the overhaul is the opening of land registries to public access and the removal of special permit requirements for land purchases, steps intended to place real estate activity in Judea and Samaria on a footing closer to that of a sovereign Israel while also facilitating accelerated development of Jewish settlement. The decisions also expand Israeli enforcement authority in areas such as construction oversight, water regulation, environmental protection, and archaeology, and transfer responsibility for certain sensitive sites and planning decisions from PA or mixed frameworks to Israeli defense authorities. This is a long-overdue (nearly 70-years overdue) normalization of Israeli governance in the Jewish heartland and a deepening of Israel’s sovereignty and control over the land.

Peloni:  Iranian protester, Pouria Hamidi is reported to have committed suicide after making this video pleading against any deal with the Mullahs.  His death marks the slaughter of a literal wartime slaughter, and in fact, the Iranian people have entered into a wartime effort to through off the shackles of their oppression, an oppression which was only possible thru the support which Iran has received over the years in the form of trade, arms and inexplicably ready cash payments.  The world itself has been under siege by the Jihadi war implemented by the Mullahs, both in the Middle East, but also throughout the US and Europe, proving the claim false which is raised by Isolationists Iranian pundits who falsely challenge that bringing down the Mullahs is not a vital American interest.   Hence, acting in accordance with Hamidi’s plea for support would also support the protection and security needs of the US.  The question is whether Trump will act to support the interests of the Iranian people, the people of the Middle East, and the people of America while supporting the toppling of Mullahs, or if he will allow them the opportunity to survive into the future, further oppressing their people and those of the world.
