Israel Update: Game Changer

Peloni: Mike explains how brilliantly Israel has re-established escallation dominance against Hezbollah in such a short period of time, noting that it is clear that these plans have been carefully crafted over a number of years.  He notes that Israel has been allowed to do so, however, only due to the fact that they have worked within the Redlines established by the US.  No doubt this is the basis of his thoughts on why Israel should pursue the enforcement of UNSC Res. 1701, as expressed in his Grim Reeper tweet, rather than eliminating the Iranian threat in the North altogether.  In fact, Israel can no longer live with the sword of Damacles ever wavering overhead, waiting for Iran to do in the North what they did in the South, or worse yet, a coordinated assault from all the Iranian threats at once.  Iran’s capability to threaten Israel must be eliminated, not deterred, and the time to do so should be now, not at some point in the future.

The American back door

Iranian-sponsored terrorist groups are not speaking the same language the U.S. State Department speaks and words like “de-escalation” hold no meaning.

Israel’s magnificent operations last week eliminated and/or incapacitated thousands of Hezbollah terrorists, as well as eliminated members of the Radwan force who were planning an “Oct. 7-style” attack on Israeli citizens in the Galilee. Finally receiving their just desserts were two men wanted by the FBI for the 1983 bombing of the U.S. Marine barracks in Beirut that killed 247 Americans, 57 French servicemen and six civilians. (The second terrorist was taken out on the 40th anniversary of the attack.)

There was no “thank you” from the Biden-Harris administration. After a bit of stiffness, the administration admitted that “nobody sheds a tear” for them.

Trump’s sins are aesthetic; Harris’s are existential

American Jews need to appropriately prioritize and act accordingly. How could Jews turn their back on the man who did so much for Israel? How could they ignore the lack of unambivalent support that Harris represents?

The view of the American political scene from Israel is looking increasingly surreal. We are seeing the normalization of the most radical Presidential candidate since Henry Wallace. Kamala Harris’s voting record and pronouncements should be causing jaw dropping reappraisals by all Americans who cherish the exceptionalism of America and its values.

Safe Schools for Jews

The question of where to spend hundreds of thousands of dollars and be safe comes down to where Jews are safe, and your money is wanted.

Jewish parents have always worried, but since October 7th fears and concerns are justified and amplified in an America dominated by antisemitism.

When it comes to university choices in North America, any Jew who considers enrolling in Harvard or Columbia or University of Michigan or NYU or UCLA, or any of the other schools that day after day see horrific antisemitism, needs a psychiatrist rather than a university degree. All of the petitions and demands have fallen on deaf ears and it is past time to expect change.

Israel’s dangerous bet on deradicalization

Peloni:  The hubris of assuming that radicals might be deradicalized requires us to assume that their radical nature might be bartered or explained away, and herein lies a great misconception about the very nature of radicals.  Notably, the wanton bloodlust of the likes of Hamas and Fatah will not be extinquished by education, wealth or time.  Indeed, think of Sinwar and ask  yourself what you might offer him to set aside his quest of Jihad.  Don’t labor too hard on this task because the answer is NOTHING.  They don’t want opportunity, and they don’t want wealth, and they don’t want education.  They simply want to kill Jews in the most barbaric and macabre manner imaginable.  We must treat these radicals with the respect which their threat to society requires and understand that the word salad of denazification is pretending away a very big problem which only leads towards ever greater problems being created.

The basis of the Palestinian national identity systematically erases all Jewish connection to our ancestral homeland.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is a man of considerable intellect and experience, shaped by his background as the son of a renowned historian. He is undoubtedly aware of the complex and often brutal history of antisemitism that has plagued the Middle East.

Despite this, Netanyahu’s recent statements seem to reflect a dangerous optimism about the potential for deradicalizing the Muslim enemy in our midst, specifically, the Arabs in Gaza. While his intentions are undoubtedly rooted in a desire for peace and coexistence, his approach appears increasingly disconnected from the harsh realities on the ground and more focused on appeasing the Western world.

Microaggressions are hateful unless used against the Jews

Progressives claim to oppose all forms of bigotry, but there is nobody more bigoted or oppressive than leftist progressive antisemites.

Negotiations with Hamas were exposed as hollow farce when six hostages were executed to prevent their rescue – in tunnels built with humanitarian aid provided by the west.

Whereas the Biden administration persists in demanding that Israel negotiate with terrorists who tortured, raped and murdered her citizens, Hamas has been honest about its commitment to jihad and genocide irrespective of negotiations. One need only read its charter to know its objective was never really the creation of a Palestinian state, but the destruction of Israel and extermination of the Jews.

King Abdullah has fled to New York

Mudar Zahran just tweeted:

“The United States announced yesterday that it would increase the number of its soldiers in the region…and hundreds of soldiers began arriving at American bases in Jordan this morning…
And Ali Baba “the king” fled to New York
…and hung up the phone, leaving his Muslim Brotherhood allies to threaten Israel…
Jordan’s stability is guaranteed by the strength of the American military…and Abdulla is a goner…that’s for sure…”

The complete Hezbollah battle plan to conquer Israel

Peloni:  The Iranian threat in the North must be removed entirely, not diminished and not deterred, but annihilated.

Revealed for the first time, this was the Hezbollah battle plan for the invasion of the Zionist State (Israel).

Barry Shaw | Sep 24, 2024

These are the stages of the Hezbollah battle plan for the invasion of the Zionist State (Israel).

THE “CONQUEST OF THE GALILEE” PLAN

Ukraine President Zelensky Campaigns for Kamala Harris in Pennsylvania

Peloni:  Zelensky is opposed to ending the war.  Indeed, this war has provided this comedian turned Ukrainian despot with the greatest control over his populace.  He has done so with the full support of the international community who are paying him for the privilege as he targets Russian military systems and troops for his Washington pay masters, now with the added caveat of harrying the Russian border as well.  The American people must end any and all support for this Ukrainian junta warlord, demand that Ukraine hold elections in accordance with the Ukrainian constitution, and require that Zelensky be replaced as Ukraine’s leader with the head of the Ukrainian Rada til such time as an election can be implemented, again as is stipulated in the Ukrainian constitution.

US must reevaluate Mideast ties with terror enabling countries

The US must rethink its relationships with allies like Egypt, Qatar, and Turkey, who have supported or enabled terrorist organizations, to better safeguard its national security.

ERIC R. MANDEL | SEPTEMBER 23, 2024

US PRESIDENT Joe Biden meets with Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, in Sharm el-Sheikh, in 2022. ‘The US has leverage with Egypt, as Washington gives Cairo over a billion dollars a year for its military,’ the writer states.   (photo credit: Egyptian Presidency/Reuters)

The American view of “the day after” deals exclusively with who will control Gaza after Israel attempts to dismantle Hamas’s military and governing capabilities, creating a path to two states for a two-people’s solution. That scenario unrealistically envisions a ceasefire ending the war and the return of all the hostages. The much more plausible scenario is a Hamas insurgency emerging every night from yet undiscovered tunnels, killing Palestinians who work with any other governing force.

International donors are complicit in Hamas’ presence in Gaza – and key to its demise

To separate Hamas from local people in Gaza, donor countries should mandate that any NGO or UN organisation working in Gaza must monitor and report on Hamas and other groups’ presence in institutions that receive funding.

Seth J. Frantzman | Sept 18, 2024

In late August the Israel Defense Forces carried out a precision airstrike on gunmen who had sought to hijack an aid convoy. The IDF said it had targeted a vehicle in a convoy that was full of armed men. Initial reports portrayed the men as civilians, with claims the Israeli strike had killed “four Palestinians leading an aid convoy”.This type of framing of the conflict, and the way in which Hamas systematically seeks to exploit civilian institutions and humanitarian aid to cling to power in Gaza, is one of the reasons it is so difficult to uproot the terror organisation.

Israel vs. its mortal enemies: Deeper meanings of terror, violence against Jewish state

In Israel’s no-choice war against Hamas and Iran, the death and injury of Palestinian noncombatants are the legal responsibility of “perfidious” jihadist enemies.

By LOUIS RENÉ BERES | SEPTEMBER 22, 2024

IDF SOLDIERS stand guard near damaged buildings in Gaza earlier this month. Though Israel’s bombardments of Gaza produce Palestinian casualties, legal responsibility for these harms lies entirely with Hamas and Iran, the writer asserts.  (photo credit: AMIR COHEN/REUTERS)

Iran, Hamas, Hezbollah, the Houthis, and other jihadist foes of Israel are ultimately more focused on transcendent goals than on tactical or strategic advantages. This focus is “power over death.” How ought Israeli military planners to grasp and operationalize such an abstract notion?

Suicidal Jews

By Joan Swirsky, AM THINKER

When individuals kill themselves, we look for answers in their DNA, their environments, their personal reactions to feelings of impotent rage, rejection, disappointment, heartbreak, and mental illness.

But how to explain group suicide?  There are numerous examples, going back to 206 B.C., and these relatively recent cases:

  • In 1943, in the final phase of the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising, many of the Jewish fighters besieged in the “bunker” at Mi?a 18 committed mass suicide by ingesting poison rather than surrender to the Nazis.
  • In 1945, about 1,000 residents of Demmin, Germany, committed mass suicide after the Red Army had sacked the town.
  • In 1978, 918 Americans — including 276 children — ingested cyanide in the Peoples Temple, after being exhorted and compelled to do so by their cult leader, Jim Jones, in Jonestown, Guyana.
  • In 1997, 39 followers of the Heaven’s Gate cult in California died in a mass suicide, believing they would travel on a spaceship that followed comet Hale — Bopp.
