“Election denial” was really hot 5 years ago. The ‘Election Denial’ moral panic led to mass censorship and claims that anyone denying an election result was a dangerous insurrectionist who needed to be locked up and posed a threat to democracy.
Peloni: Did Trump really abandon the Iranian protestors after urging them into the streets where thousands were gunned down by the Mullahs? I don’t believe this is likely. Rather, I agree with the summation of this article, namely that a limited but significant strike raised against Iran will be the most likely outcome in Iran. I don’t think Trump is looking for regime change, and I don’t think his attack will be the deciding factor in what successes might be made by the protests. Time will tell of course.
Peloni: What goes unstated in this article is that the death penalty provides justice, irreversible by future acts of terror which have been used over the past 70 years to inevitably leverage the lives of Jew Ransomed innocents against the release of those who should never be released. Let these butchers know that their sentence will be final, that they will have no hope of freedom, and that a final justice at the end of a noose will be the consequence of their barbarity. Be not kind to the cruel so as to not be cruel to the kind. Simply hang them.
Revised proposal seeks faster implementation and stronger deterrence as Israel confronts ongoing terror threats.

In a move that has ignited intense national debate, National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir unveiled a revised version of Israel’s proposed death penalty for terrorists, announcing that hanging would replace lethal injection as the method of execution. The update was presented during a Knesset National Security Committee meeting and reflects growing determination within the coalition to push the legislation forward.
Peloni: As Likud moves to support Trump’s ban on Israeli sovereignty, who will pick up the banner supporting sovereignty, and will it result in material vote swings in the next election?
An historic missed opportunity that will cost at the ballot box.

Recent reports indicate that the Sovereignty Law, approved by the Knesset plenum two months ago, has been effectively blocked. Coalition Chairman Ofir Katz transferred the bill from the Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee to the Knesset Committee, which he chairs- reportedly following instruction from the Prime Minister. The law is now frozen without debate or formal decision. This is not a minor procedural matter; it represents a significant national opportunity that has been lost, unless it is overturned.
Peloni: As the world waits to see what will materialize from Trump’s promise to the Iranians that help was coming, the internet access in Iran continues to be jammed. If there are no more killings, and Iran has control over the country, why is it that no one outside of the Iranian curtain of silence is allowed to confirm this so called fact.

Amid a flurry of reports suggesting that the broader Middle East is expecting U.S. strikes against the Iranian regime, U.S. President Donald Trump caused general confusion when he suggested that the regime’s bloody crackdown against the protesters had “stopped” on Wednesday evening.
“President Trump is well aware that Tehran obliterated his red line like a nuclear site under a Beautiful B-2. He’s well aware how fragile the regime is right now. He’s well aware that Xi and Putin would look at this moment and wonder whether he got cold feet. So, we’ll see.”
The numbers of Iranian citizens who have been killed by the regime is horrifying. As communication coming out of Iran is erratic, it is impossible to confirm the statistics; from different sources I’m seeing somewhere between 6,000 and 20,000. Horrifying indeed.
Peloni: Why does every Red Line drawn by the US ultimately become a new line of negotiations after it is crossed. Is victory the aim of the negotiations or is it actually the negotiations themselves that are the desired aim, so as to pretend that the outcome of the negotiations have not failed as the declared Red Lines are simply crossed over and new ones are chosen it their place. Indeed, Phase 2 was to begin after the disarmament or destruction of Hamas as well as the complete return of the hostages. Neither of these demands have been met, but US impatience has once again simply made new threats while ignoring past threats which failed to materialize, as if the new threats will be deemed more useful for anyone as Phase 2 is pushed forward with Phase 1 still incomplete in gross and significant ways.

“Today, on behalf of President Trump, we are announcing the launch of Phase Two of the President’s 20-Point Plan to End the Gaza Conflict, moving from ceasefire to demilitarization, technocratic governance, and reconstruction,” Witkoff declared.

A few days before New Year’s Eve, when hardly anyone was paying attention, State Department officials visited Geneva and signed a $2 billion aid deal with the UN.

The abduction of Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro and his wife, Cilia Flores, in an American military operation on January 3, 2026 sparked harsh criticism in Egypt and expressions of concern over its implications for the world order. While the Egyptian Foreign Ministry sufficed with a laconic statement saying it remains in constant contact with Egypt’s embassy in Caracas to monitor the situation of Egyptians in Venezuela,[1] the Egyptian press and pro-regime state published numerous articles and cartoons condemning the operation and describing it as a “crime,” a “piratical act,” and a “dark chapter” in American history.
For decades leading up to the atrocities of October 23, the top echelons of the Israeli leadership have wildly misjudged the realities that prevailed in Gaza
Looking back over the last several decades, citizens of Israel will find much reason for grave concern over the aptitude of the country’s leadership. Indeed, almost all of those who held- and some who still hold—senior positions of national responsibility have raised ideas, which have either precipitated trauma and tragedy or, by mere good fortune, have not done so.
Peloni: The courage of the Iranian protests is unlike anything I can remember. It calls to mind the image of Tank Man, the lone protestor who stood afront a column of Chinese tanks following the Tiananmen Square massacre, but Tank Man was but an individual whose courage exemplified the hopes of a nation in a desperate act of heroism. Yet, today, there are millions of Tank Men who stand defenseless in the streets of Iran, and like the Tank Man from another generation, these millions are facing down another totalitarian regime armed with only their sheer will of defiance which cries out for support from the freedom loving world, not for sympathy, not for kind or inspiring words, but for action, for weapons, for a combined effort to free the Iranian people who have been consistently betrayed by Western silence and inaction for decades. We live in revolutionary times, which means the actions we take, or those we fail to fulfill, will decide the path on which the future and the course of history will turn. So the only question which bears comment on this topic is what kind of a world we want our children to face: one with a nuclear ambitious terror regime with anti-Western tentacles strangling the free world, or one which recognized the need to support the courage of a free people who are standing as a nation, with the same defenseless resolve which Tank Man demonstrated forty years ago. Will the world simply applaud and ignore the demand for freedom by the Iranian people as what followed the demonstration of Tank Man in another age, or will we see the demand for freedom of an oppressed nation fulfilled with US and Western support which will free both Iran and America, and the Western world from living with the persistence of the ghoulish Mullahs maintaining control over the rogue nation of Iran. Is it time for the Mullahs to fall, or will we simply look on as the millions of Iranians are disappeared from view as was the fate of Tank Man and his murdered comrades in Tiananmen Square.
Their Iranian civilians’ courage and resolve should be a wake-up call for freedom loving people everywhere

Anyone who professes a love for freedom and liberty must regard the current protests in Iran with a sense of awe.
How courageous are these people, knowing that they are up against an unabashedly brutal and repressive regime, which thinks nothing of wantonly killing their own people!
A young Iranian who recently crossed into Turkey shared a message for the world, warning that the scale of killings by the Islamic regime is far greater than outsiders realize. “They’re shooting at people’s chests all the time,” he said. pic.twitter.com/z0yBCNkTp7
The latest threat from the United Nations removes all remaining doubt about what the UN truly represents.
UN Secretary-General António Guterres just sent a menacing letter to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, accusing Israel of violating international law for severing ties with UNRWA and seizing its assets.
