I know the Dems are the party of radicals, community organizers, and the occasional posse-organizing bartender. But there are also a great many average Joes who habitually vote Democrat. The average Joe is a law-abiding, churchgoing family man who votes Democrat because he wants to make the world better — and has been led to believe that the Dems want that also.

We keep being told by Palestinians and their supporters that Gaza is “running out of fuel” — told that, in fact, every day, though it never happens. What we do know is that the IDF has photographs of oil storage tanks where 500,000 liters of fuel are being kept by Hamas. And now the IDF has had confirmed by a Palestinian health official that there are in addition at least another 500,000 to one million liters of fuel stored by Hamas under Shifa Hospital.

In 2015, the so-called Arab Spring, which Barack Obama helped foment, turned into the Muslim march on Europe. As you may recall, then-Chancellor Angela Merkel, from her powerful position as head of the EU’s most powerful nation, invited in all the displaced refugees from across the Muslim Middle East and Africa. It was an invasion by invitation, and now Germany may soon become a Muslim-controlled country.

It’s almost impossible to describe the stupidity (or evil) of Merkel’s decision to invite Islam into Europe. Think about it: The welcome mat came from the country that had sparked the biggest war in the history of the world by seeking world domination and determining to wipe out the Jewish race—and the people she invited into Europe come from an ideology that is open about acquiring world domination (“the global caliphate”) and is determined to wipe out the Jewish race.

Yossi Dagan, Head of the Shomron Regional Council, responded on Monday to a report which said that the Biden administration agreed to allow Israel to purchase thousands of M16 rifles from US companies, on condition that the weapons would not be distributed to community security squads in Judea and Samaria.

TEL AVIV—Israel pushed further into Gaza City, sending troops into an urban Hamas stronghold that is still packed with civilians after one of the most intense bombing barrages of the monthlong war.

Israeli military spokesman Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari said that Israeli forces “are continuing to deepen the pressure into the depths of Gaza City.” He didn’t say during a briefing Monday where Israeli soldiers are operating, and Israeli officials have been careful not to disclose the location of their ground forces in Gaza.

It is worth remembering that the “Two-State” paradigm was born in infamy over a century ago.

The front page of proposed Mandate for non-state Palestine and Transjordan memorandum, presented to the British Parliament in December 1922, prior to it coming into force in 1923.

With both friends and enemies of Israel still exercised over what we know as the “Two-State solution,” it’s worth remembering that the very first such solution was enacted in infamy 102 years ago.

One of the things the left is desperately downplaying as it demands that Israel allow Hamas and its supporters to go unpunished and, ideally, cede to the Arabs the entire land of Israel is the fact that the surrounding Arab nations are refusing to take Gazans in as refugees. The reason is that nobody wants these “Palestinian” Arabs who have proven to be as destructive to Arab nations as they are to Israel.

When Barack Obama’s policies triggered the disastrous Arab Spring, with massive upheaval in the Muslim lands of Africa and the Middle East, Europe opened its doors to refugees from those wars. Europe did this even though its cultural connection to these refugees was minimal to nonexistent. It was, the Europeans felt, the right thing to do. (It’s also proved to have been a remarkably stupid thing to do, as Enoch Powell predicted, but that’s another story.)

In his NYT Opinion article, Thomas Friedman attempted to make a case for why Israel should not invade Gaza. He states that forgoing a Gaza invasion will “… give Israel and its allies time to think through how to build — with Palestinians — a legitimate alternative to Hamas.” This implies that the last four decades have not been enough time to think this through, and that somehow a little more time will finally succeed in peacefully ridding the world of a well-armed totalitarian terrorist group whose mission is to kill Jews.

To Mr. Friedman I would pose the following question: How many Jewish civilians does Hamas need to torture and murder to justify its full destruction? Is it 10,000 Jews? A million Jews? Six million Jews? Is there any number which would justify Israel’s complete destruction of Hamas in self-defense?

American officials have advised Israel to take several steps to reduce firepower in the Gaza Strip and take a more exacting approach to its war against the Hamas terror group, pointing to its own experiences in Iraq two decades ago, according to a report Saturday.

However, Israeli officials see much of the advice as irrelevant, and the head of the Israel Defense Forces rejected the advice as liable to cause even more casualties, according to a separate Israeli report Saturday.

In the wake of horrific mass terror attacks against southern Israeli communities, in which up to 1400 Israelis were murdered by terrorists from Hamas-ruled Gaza, Israel’s Defense Minister Yoav Gallant announced a “complete siege” of the territory:

I have ordered a complete siege on the Gaza Strip. There will be no electricity, no food, no fuel, everything is closed.

Because some have mistakenly interpreted this to mean that Israel supplied — and is now cutting off — all of Gaza’s water, electricity, and food, the facts are outlined below.

T. Belman.  “Settler violence” is a coined phrase to implicate the settlers into a cycle of violence. This article is long on emotionalcoverage and short on causation. But it does report that ”

Palestinian attacks on Israelis in the West Bank are also escalating, and Israeli officials say there have been more than 550 since Oct. 7.

U.N. officials said that so far this year, at least 23 Israeli civilians had been killed in the West Bank and East Jerusalem, which is several times higher than it has been in previous years.”

It does not identify how many Palestinians  if any, were killed by settlers, if any.

In any event the settlers have a right to be enraged and to fight back. Ben Gvir supports them.  Bibi wants calm.

Israeli settlers and Palestinians have been locked in a cycle of bloodshed for decades. But extremist settler attacks could send the conflict out of control.
