The West has gone mad – and evil

What is this evil acid that corrodes Western humanism, and where does it come from?

By Giulio Meotti, INN   Nov 27, 2023, 6:33 AM (GMT+2)

According to French philosopher Alain Finkielkraut, heir to the great liberal thinkers, from Raymond Aron to Albert Camus, “we have slipped into hatred towards our world. The woke spirit, which has taken the place of communist ideology, defines white supremacism as absolute evil and makes the Israeli the quintessence of this evil.”

Hence the assault on the history and culture of the West to dismantle and disperse them both.

And this West now hates itself to the point of generating crazy paradoxes every day. Under these circumstances, how long can our house, the increasingly divided house of the civilized world, stand?

NYT: Kristof on Gaza

 T. Belman. The authors do a great job of dismantling this article.  They show how ludicous it is. Unfortunately, it is typical of the NYT.

By Alan G. Futerman and Walter E. Block

New York Times columnist Nicholas Kristof, in his important essay “What Does Destroying Gaza Solve?” (October 14, 2023), poses a series of important challenges which must be faced by all those, such as the present authors, who favor the present Israeli bombing of, and then incursion into, that troubled area.

First off he states: “Israel’s demand that more than one million people leave their homes in northern Gaza, when they have nowhere to go, could constitute the war crime of forced removal…”

1,000 boats said set to leave Turkey for Gaza waters in new ‘Freedom Flotilla’

T. Belman. I take this threat seriously.

Reminiscent of infamous 2010 Mavi Marmara protest, large maritime convoy plans to remain in international waters off Ashdod and disrupt sea trade route to Israel

Approximately 1,000 boats will gather in Turkey on Wednesday before heading toward Gaza in an attempt to break the Israeli blockade and disrupt maritime trade coming into Israel during the war with Hamas, in an apparent repeat of similar attempts from over a decade ago.

In an interview with Turkish news website Haber7, Volkan Okçu, one of the organizers of the protest, indicated the boats will carry 4,500 people from 40 countries, “including anti-Zionist Jews.”

Biden About To Betray Israel?

by Con Coughlin, GATESTONE  •  November 26, 2023

  • Seven weeks into Israel’s military offensive to destroy Hamas as a military and political entity, the Biden administration now seems to be adopting a very different stance, one where it appears ready to scale down its commitment to supporting Israel’s right to self-defence, and destroying Hamas, in favour of a ceasefire deal that would essentially gift victory to Hamas.
  • Netanyahu has made no secret of his personal reservations about the hostage deal, arguing that any pause in Israel’s military offensive would simply allow Hamas to regroup. The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF), in particular, had been opposed to the deal because they wanted to maintain the pressure against Hamas on the ground in Gaza.

The Reasonableness of the European Right

Far-right fast becoming the mainstream in European politics as Gaza and Ukraine wars shift continental sentiments

By David P Goldman, ASIA TIMES  25 Nov 2023

Geert Wilders’ surprise victory in last week’s Dutch elections portends an upheaval in European politics long in the offing, but provoked by two pressing events.

The first is the mass demonstrations in support of Hamas by Muslim migrants after October 7, a triumphalist assertion of power by a minority that believes that it may become the future majority.

This cast a harsh light on uncontrolled mass immigration, now Europe’s top political issue. The failure of the mainstream parties to address the continent’s most pressing problem opens a path to power for an opposition that only months ago was dismissed as a political fringe element.

The Intelligence Failure of October 7 – Roots and Lessons

T. Belman. At its core is the belief that peace is possible rather than the belief that there will never be peace. The left has long believed that what is necessary is to improve the living standards of the “Palestinians” in order to acheive peace. This a fantasy, not reality. There will never be peace.

This battle is ideological. Rather than build their hope, we should destroy there hope.

By Amnon Sofrin, JS TRIBUNE    November 2023

Hamas’ sudden attack on the kibbutzim and the towns neighboring the Gaza Strip caught the IDF and the country by total surprise. During the first 24 hours, beginning at 6:30 in the morning of October 7, the Hamas Nukhba (name of the commando troops, means “elite”) and those who came in with them conquered and held an area of about 4-5 kilometers depth inside Israel, and in places penetrated well beyond that. The lack of any forewarning accounted also for the confused and disorganized, albeit often individually heroic, actions of the military and the police throughout the day.

Thirty Years Ago Israel Deported Hamas. Clinton Made Israel Take It Back

By Daniel Greenfield, 26 Nov 12:21 AM

“Deporting The Hope For Peace?” Newsweek asked. The hope for peace was Hamas.

The year was 1992. The Clinton administration was trying to get Israeli Prime Minister Rabin and the PLO’s Yasser Arafat to sign on the dotted line of the Oslo Accords to create a terror state inside Israel. In the name of peace. Unfortunately Hamas kept killing Israelis.

15-year-old Helena Rapp had been stabbed to death at a bus stop on the way to school. A few days later, Rabbi Shimon Biran, a father of four, was similarly murdered by an Islamic terrorist.

BREAKING: Judge Rules Georgia Voting Machine Case Must Go To Trial

By Patrick Webb, LEADING REPORT    24 Nov 2023

U.S. District Judge Amy Totenberg has ruled that a lawsuit against Georgia’s use of electronic voting machines must go to a non-jury trial in January.

The lawsuit questions whether Georgia’s current system of computerized voting is safe or whether it is vulnerable to potential hacking incidents.

Wilders “Jordan Is Palestine”

T. Belman. Wilders is right. “Jordan is Palestine” or soon will be.

Wilders often reiterated the idea that Jordan is Palestine, suggesting that the conflict between Palestinians and Israel could be resolved through the dislocation of Palestinian people to Jordan.

That’s the Jordan Option.

New details have emerged about the failures of the security forces to prevent the Oct. 7th massacre.
