Why the Democrats’ call to ‘save our democracy’ is a lie

T. Belman. The same criticism applies to the Israeli left who purport to be about saving democracy in Israel in their fight against judicial overhaul. The left in the US refused to recognized the election of President Trump in 2016 and made it very difficult for him to govern. The left in Israel is similarly not recognizing the election of this government earlier this year and are doing their utmost to prevent them from governing.

By Lewis Dovland, AM THINKER

One of the rallying calls from the Marxist leftists and Democratic leadership (but then, I repeat myself) is: “We must save our democracy.” The veiled hint is that MAGA and Trump supporters, conservatives in general, and overall decent citizens are trying to take away ‘Our Democracy.’ Note one thing: they never define that democracy.

Examples: From his website, “. . . Chuck Schumer has never backed down in the fight to save our democracy.” (Emphasis mine.). In 2021, our paragon truth-seeker Adam Schiff introduced H.R.5314 – Protecting Our Democracy Act, which is nothing more than a tool to tie Trump’s hands if he does win in 2024 and probably will be ignored if he loses.

The Observer view on the riots in France: a grim tale of the growing gulf between haves and have-nots

T. Belman.  I doubt its about  “the growing gulf between haves and have-nots”.

All reports that I have read blame the riots on “many young, especially people of colour”. No one suggests that the rioters are predominantly Muslim nor do they identify who is promoting the riots. This article points to “vexed questions about France’s dogmatic insistence on racial assimilation, secularism and a one-size-fits-all identity. An increasingly diverse republic, its changing character deeply influenced by the colonial past, is still officially colour-blind.”

Diversity is not a strength as many on the left suggest.  But how do you assimilate Muslim immigrants or accommodate them. Most host countries yield to their demands but this is not the answer either.

The answer is ban Muslim immigration.

The aggressive police tactics that led to the death of Nahel Merzouk reflect wider problems in French society

Right- and leftwing politicians, social scientists, analysts and commentators have rushed to variously condemn, explain, exploit and justify the fury and violence that erupted in many French cities after Tuesday’s fatal police shooting of Nahel Merzouk, a 17-year-old boy of north African descent. But some of the most revealing and insightful testimony came from Kendra, a resident of the Pablo Picasso estate in the Nanterre suburb of Paris, near to where the teenager was killed during a traffic-stop. There have been 21 fatal police traffic-stop shootings since 2020. Most of the victims were of black or Arab origin.

Five reasons to destroy Hezbollah in a surprise attack now

There will be war in any case, and we are talking about a costly war, but delaying means a devastating one

1.7.23

Here are five reasons to destroy Hezbollah in a surprise attack now:

#1. Superior results: By definition, a surprise Israeli attack minimizes the damage Hezbollah can cause before it is destroyed. In sharp contrast, if our forces only implement our battle plans after Hezbollah opts to compel us to act, Hezbollah will be the party geared to maximize damage.

#2. War not involving Iran and others: A surprise Israeli attack buys the Jewish State precious time to benefit from carrying out operations in a single-arena or at most dual-arena (Lebanon and Gaza) conflict rather than the treacherously broad multi-arena conflict we could very well face if we allow Hezbollah to decide when the conflict starts.

The Moral and Material Collapse of U.S. Foreign Policy Under Biden

By

The American post-Cold War order from the Ronald Reagan through George W. Bush administration is over.

Barack Obama began its erosion with his tired lectures about the past sins of the United States.

Obama empowered radical Islamists. He invited Russia back into the Middle East after a forty-year hiatus. He snored while Vladimir Putin swallowed large areas of Ukraine. He nonchalantly allowed ISIS almost to take over Iraq. And he authored the Libyan misadventure.

The Biden Administration’s Dangerous Nuclear Deal: Congressional Approval Required

by Majid Rafizadeh, GATESTONE 1.7.23

  • “I urge the Administration to remember that U.S. law requires that any agreement, arrangement, or understanding with Iran needs to be submitted to Congress.” — Rep. Michael McCaul (R-Texas), Chairman of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, in a letter to US President Joe Biden, June 15, 2023.
  • “INARA [the Iran Nuclear Agreement Review Act of 2015] was enacted with strong bipartisan support to ensure Congressional oversight of U.S. policy regarding Iran’s nuclear program…. This definition makes clear that any arrangement or understanding with Iran, even informal, requires submission to Congress.” — Rep. Michael McCaul (R-Texas), Chairman of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, in a letter to US President Joe Biden, June 15, 2023 [Emphasis added].

Quran and Jihad

By: Amil Imani

We must closely examine the Quran, Islam’s inviolable, immutable charter since it enjoys such a sanctified standing. Muslims believe that Allah himself writes the Quran. Allah handed down the book, piece by piece and chapter by chapter, to the Archangel Gabriel. Gabriel, in turn, whispered these words to Muhammad himself over some 23 years.

Muhammad could neither read nor write. Therefore, he had to find people who could write down what he called his revelations from Allah. Several of these katibs (scribes) wrote down the surahs (chapters), eventually making up the Quran.

Over 1,300 arrested in France during 4th night of riots over fatal shooting

Funeral set to take place of 17-year-old whose killing by police unleashed unrest; 45,000 police officers deployed as interior ministry says over 2,500 fires set overnight

PARIS (AP) — Rioting raged in cities around France for a fourth night despite a huge police deployment and 1,311 arrests, with cars and buildings set ablaze and stores looted, as family and friends prepared Saturday to bury the 17-year-old whose killing by police unleashed the unrest.

France’s Interior Ministry announced the new figure for arrests around the country, where 45,000 police officers fanned out in a so-far unsuccessful bid to quell violence.

The Supreme Court’s three decisions honor the Constitution

By Andrea Widburg, AM THINKER

It’s been a busy two days as the Supreme Court ended its 2022-2023 term. The three most noteworthy opinions ended affirmative action (although with a dangerous caveat), limited executive authority to erase debt, and struck a blow for free speech. Because all three are completely normal in analysis and effect, they’re rather uninteresting. What’s more interesting are the dissents, which predict what a leftist-controlled future will look like.

Hypocrisy unmasked: The Supreme Court’s “reasonableness” clause

The “extreme unreasonableness doctrine” under the British Mandate morphed into the personal opinion of a judge. How it happened.

These days, the Knesset’s Constitution, Law and Justice Committee is discussing the proposal to abolish the use of the reasonableness clause. This clause has been used many times by the Israeli court in recent years when it wants to invalidate various governmental decisions including civil servant appointments and even the awarding of the Israel Prize. The extensive use of this clause has received a lot of criticism among jurists and professionals; even Chief Justice Noam Solberg did so when he published a comprehensive article several years ago on the use of the reasonableness clause, explaining why it is a problematic tool and stating that it should be significantly reduced.

The Biden Administration Is Prioritizing the Iran Deal Over Ukrainian Security

The Honorable Stephen Rademaker, JINSA

Former Assistant Secretary of State for International Security and Nonproliferation, Member, JINSA’s Iran Policy Project; Senior Advisor, JINSA Gemunder Center

Accordingly to press reports, the Biden administration is considering entering a very narrow nuclear agreement with Iran that would impose many fewer restrictions on that country’s nuclear program than the original Iran nuclear deal (also known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action, or JCPOA).

Most analysts ascribe the administration’s renewed interest in diplomacy with Iran to electoral politics—the deal under consideration won’t do much to restrain Iran’s nuclear weapons program, but it can be expected to postpone any crisis with Iran till after the 2024 presidential election. But there is an even more urgent Ukraine problem that may be motivating the administration to want a deal now.

The Story of January 6th: Until Now

By George Hill, UNCOVERDC   – June 29, 2023

The Plan

The story of January 6th until now. Only the planners know the exact date the story was hatched. Most likely just after the loss of Donald Trump to now President Joe Biden. Who actually hatched the plan remains open for speculation. Though mercurial and unpredictable, the now Lame Duck President could be expected to raise a fuss about the election results, and his voters would be easy to manipulate as they poured into D.C. for the “Stop The Steal” rally. It was time for the kill shot and to end Orange Man once and for all.

ANALYSIS: Supreme Court Affirmative Action Case Could Undermine Corporate Racial Agenda

By Kevin Stocklin, EPOCH TIMES

As Harvard and the University of North Carolina (UNC) await a landmark Supreme Court decision, expected this week, on their racial admissions policies, companies are also watching nervously, fearing that the decision could expose their race-based hiring and training programs to civil rights lawsuits.

According to a Harvard Business Review 2022 survey, more than 60 percent of U.S. companies had a diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) program, which categorizes employees according to race and gender. In addition, following the 2020 police murder of George Floyd, a black man, numerous companies including Wells Fargo, United Airlines, JPMorgan Chase, Delta Airlines, Ralph Lauren, Estee Lauder, and Google parent company Alphabet Inc. announced race-based hiring and promotion policies.

It’s time to dismantle the United Nations

The moral corruption of this global body has knocked the free world off its compass

By MELANIE PHILLIPS     June 30, 2023

UN General Assembly

The malevolent scapegoating of Israel by the United Nations has long been a scandal.

These abuses are regularly highlighted by tireless UN watchdogs such as Hillel Neuer, the executive director of UN Watch, and Anne Bayefsky, president of Human Rights Voices.

The End of Affirmative Action

June 30, 2023, 6:12 a.m. ET

The current Supreme Court has been out of step with public opinion in some of its highest-profile rulings, including on abortion and environmental protection. Yesterday’s ruling restricting race-based affirmative action at colleges and universities was different.

In a 6-3 decision, the court’s six conservative justices declared that colleges’ use of race as a factor in student admissions is unconstitutional. They cited the Fourteenth Amendment, which prohibits discrimination based on race.

Former US President Donald Trump on Thursday told the Reuters news agency in an interview that Russian President Vladimir Putin has been “somewhat weakened” by an aborted mutiny and that now is the time for the United States to try to broker a negotiated peace settlement between Russia and Ukraine.

“I want people to stop dying over this ridiculous war,” Trump said in the interview.
