Tom Barrack, the U.S. Ambassador to Turkey and Special Envoy for Syria, during a visit to Baghdad on Monday, warned the Iraqi government to remain on the sidelines of a potential new conflict between Hezbollah and Israel.
Peloni: There seems to be some disconnect between what is currently taking place on the ground in Syria as described in the article below and Trump’s continued support for Jolani’s leadership as made clear in his recent TruthSocial post:
“The United States is very satisfied with the results displayed, through hard work and determination, in the Country of Syria. We are doing everything within our power to make sure the Government of Syria continues to do what was intended, which is substantial, in order to build a true and prosperous Country. One of the things that has helped them greatly was my termination of very strong and biting sanctions — I believe this was truly appreciated by Syria, its Leadership, and its People! It is very important that Israel maintain a strong and true dialogue with Syria, and that nothing takes place that will interfere with Syria’s evolution into a prosperous State. The new President of Syria, Ahmed al-Sharaa, is working diligently to make sure good things happen, and that both Syria and Israel will have a long and prosperous relationship together. This is a historic opportunity, and adds to the SUCCESS, already attained, for PEACE IN THE MIDDLE EAST!”
Syrian government condemns Israeli raid into its territory, calls it ‘treacherous attack’
Following a statement by the military that six IDF soldiers were wounded during an operation in southern Syria early Friday morning, a new report claims that elements of the Syrian government were behind the attack on the Israeli forces.
Peloni: The issue with the Turks is reportedly related to the Turks being said to be responsible for successfully pushing Hamas to release the hostages. In response to this, Trump sees them as having an important role in the future security arrangements for the region while ignoring the danger of promoting this expanding Colonialist Muslim Brotherhood empire whose leader has expressed significant designs on conquering Israel and seizing Jerusalem. The Turks can not have any role in any security arrangement in or near Israel.
No Turkish “Peacekeepers” Should Be Deployed to Gaza
NEW YORK – A leading pro-Israel organization has come out strongly against the deployment of Turkish soldiers to Gaza as part of a future International Stabilization Force for Gaza. It is time for diplomats to realize that nations that have a documented history of providing Hamas with a safe haven, political support, financial aid, and/or material assistance must not be granted any role in rebuilding Gaza, according to Americans for a Safe Israel (AFSI).
Peloni: There is precious little reason to win the war only to lose the peace. Peace thru strength actually requires that the use of strength should secure peace following the exercise of strength. It may be that we are only looking at the initial aspects of the past two years of war against Israel’s many enemies, but for now, it does appear that the trend is such that Israel is successively losing the initiative in peace which was won in its many victories along the various fronts in the past two years.
In Lebanon, as in Lebanon, nothing has changed: a year after the ceasefire, Hezbollah still stands on its feet and refuses to disarm. And the same is true in Gaza: Hamas is rebuilding its forces and its political standing under American protection. We have not learned that war is never an end in itself, it is always meant to serve diplomatic goals.

Last week marked one year since the ceasefire agreement with Hezbollah that ended the campaign on the northern border, the one the Lebanese Shiite terrorist organization launched against Israel on Oct. 8, 2023, a day after Hamas’ murderous terrorist assault began.
Peloni: A revealing tale of how the Democratic party has come to betray the standards on which the American nation was founded, and the trust of those who once formed its greatest supporters. In reading Joan’s essay, I was reminded of Reagan’s popular refrain that he hadn’t left the Democratic party, but that the Democratic party had left him. Critical thinking and a foundation in first principles of freedom and liberty are what has led many former supporters to run, not walk, away from the Democratic party as it has come to openly endorse Islamists and Communists, and to advocate for lawlessness and terrorism. The laundry list of blessings which Joan enumerates at the end of this essay present a clear choice for supporters of the Democratic party. Indeed, the ties which connect this list to the foundational principles of American values, ie Judeo Christian values, has led to the near collapse of support for the Democrats among American voters, which is why they moved to import a non-American constituency with reckless abandon during the interlude between Trump’s first and second terms.
A long time ago, in 2006, my son Seth wrote an article ––Why I left the Left–– for RealClearPolitics.com.
When President George W. Bush’s “brain” Karl Rove read it, OMG he invited Seth to lunch at the White House! That was many years after I personally left the Left, but I couldn’t think of a more apt title for this article.
Many killers of U.S. citizens walk freely in territories controlled by the Palestinian Authority or nations that America considers allies, such as Egypt and Jordan.

After the terrorist attack by an Afghan national on two members of the West Virginia National Guard in Washington, U.S. President Donald Trump labeled the murderer a “savage monster” and an “animal.” He also said about Rahmanullah Lakanwal: “We will bring the perpetrator of this barbaric attack to swift and certain justice.”
Peloni: This was an important briefing with Gen. Avivi. Gen. Avivi explains that the govt has recently approved the return of 280,000 reservists back to service, presumably in anticipation of Phase II of Trump’s plan which will see Hamas disarmed or destroyed. Only Israel has the capability and interest of seeing Hamas destroyed explaining the call up of the reserves, hopefully for the last time. Following the return of the last two remaining deceased hostages, which is expected to take place, phase II will move forward. After this, the Gazans will be moved to an area near Rafah, allowing the Gazans to be separated from Hamas. This will allow Israel greater maneuverability against Hamas while also allowing the Gazans to freely leave the Gaza Strip once the Rafah crossing is opened, thus fulfilling the Trump vision for Gaza. Avivi also addresses the topics of Syria and Trump’s Executive Order related to the Muslim Brotherhood and the new Draft Law.
The UN Security Council’s adoption of Trump’s 20-Point Gaza Plan is being sold as a diplomatic win. But behind the headlines lies the same fatal pattern that has undermined U.S. strategy in the Middle East for decades: Western leaders keep treating jihadist movements as if they can be appeased, incentivized, or negotiated into normal statehood.
The strengthening of Israel’s national security, the enhancement of its independence, and reduction of dependence on foreign actors to a minimum will occur when, as a first step, Israel secures and defines its borders by applying Israeli sovereignty over Judea, Samaria and Gaza.

The West is surrendering to, and groveling before, the intensifying Islamization taking root within it. Israel has become its natural punching bag-yet Israel must build its own independence and strength. The first step: sovereignty and governance.
Peloni: The only question which rises to mind in reading Leonard’s important analysis here is why these laws have yet to be employed in the past 10 months following the Trump administration returning to power? Where is AG Bondi? Where is FBI Director Patel? Are they not aware of the legal tools which have always been open to them to stem the violence which they have purportedly been fighting? In failing to act as described in this article, are either of them influenced by their own respective ties to Qatar, or is it simple incompetence? Fighting terrorism with every possible means available is a vital national interests, so why is the US not yet doing so?
The danger is real, as demonstrated by the horrible murderous terrorist attacks on US soil, including the most recent one on the National Guard soldiers this Thanksgiving. The US gov’t has legal grounds to stop it – now.

US President Trump’s Executive Order (EO), initiating the process whereby various subdivisions of the Muslim Brotherhood (MB) are each to be designated as a Foreign Terrorist Organization (FTO), as well as for specially designating persons as global terrorists, is indicative of the complexity of this undertaking.
Before starting, let’s clarify something right from the start.
Seth Rogen is mostly upset with Israel because he claims he wasn’t told earlier by Jewish teachers that some Arabs and other people also lived in the land which would become Israel Reborn in 1948, which the Ottoman Turkish Empire ruled for about 4-5 centuries prior to it becoming a territory under the British Empire’s control as one of its two Mandates awarded to it by the League of Nations after WWI.
Peloni: Rabbi Pesach Wolicki describes the chaos emerging in Southern Syria with the help of the Jolani govt, even as the Trump administration is doubling down on their support for the Jolani govt. Wolicki indicates that he believes that Trump is operating under the false perception that economic incentives will change Jolani’s terrorist inclinations, but that this is clearly not what is taking place in Syria.
An Afghan national was just arrested in Texas for making a terrorist threat, claiming he was building a bomb to blow up Fort Worth. Another “vetted” Biden Afghan migrant.
This is not only sedition; it’s a national security threat.

Billboards are popping up outside Fort Bragg and Camp Lejeune urging soldiers to disobey orders. “Marines: Not what you signed up for?” asks one. “Did You Go Airborne Just To Pull Security for ICE?” asks another one. The website urges soldiers to use encryption and offers ‘counselling’ on ‘disobeying immoral orders’. The organizations offering ‘counselling’ to soldiers include the National Lawyers Guild: a Communist organization which also defends Antifa.

Recently declassified documents from Argentine intelligence indicate that the authorities knew that the Nazi criminal and medical doctor Josef Mengele was hiding in the South American country, but did nothing to bring him to justice.

The current alliance between Jewish anti-Zionists and non-Jewish antisemites has its precedents, as we are reminded by the statements made at a Jewish-Christian interfaith conference in London, one hundred years ago last week. Then and now, both camps agree that “bad” Jews are the reason for antisemitism.
