A few weeks ago, I was shocked when one of the daughters of a business colleague expressed deep concern for Greta [Thunberg], whom the State of Israel had allegedly “kidnapped” from the deck of a ship trying to break the blockade on Gaza and deliver much-needed supplies to the starving population. See the power that fairy tales have over American youth from good homes. That young girl and her sister even attend a school where the majority are Jewish.
Peloni: This threat by Trump must be made more broadly against England and France as well, if it is to have the weight needed to end this threat by the same internationalists who made October 7 a reality.

Israel’s leadership is considering how to proceed in the Gaza Strip, as the mediators continue attempts to revive the ceasefire talks with Hamas despite Israel and the U.S. having withdrawn their teams from Qatar following unacceptable demands by the terror group.
Peloni: Rather than endorsing this obvious Hamas propaganda, Western leaders should be speaking out in sync with Netanyahu, condemning this charade for what it is. The failure of Western leadership is at a crisis moment, leading them to endorse the very rhetoric which is being leveraged to support their own destruction. As reports of online influencers quietly delete images such as that below without commenting on their false reporting, will the leadership of the West continue in the same mood, ignoring the dishonesty, the cowardice and the consequences of their propagating anti-Western Fake News as substantive reports.

In an era where information travels faster than ever, the deliberate misuse of images and narratives to shape public opinion has become a potent weapon. A recent and glaring example involves a picture of a sick child in Gaza, falsely portrayed as a victim of starvation caused by Israel. It’s egregious that photos of the 5-year-old boy have been misused to depict Israel as responsible for his condition, buffering claims that Israel is starving children.
