They don’t know how to fight, seem only to defend and feel frightened, and their life experiences in being “nice” have left them utterly unprepared for the vicious Jew-hating, even Nazi-like, campaigning against them and Israel they have encountered in college.

Over the years, Israeli military officials have hinted at the country’s ability to strike Iran’s nuclear facilities if necessary. The Jewish state has led successful operations in the past, striking nuclear facilities in Iraq in 1981 and Syria in 2007. While Iraq and Syria are closely positioned to Israel, Iran is nearly 1,000 miles away. The distance between Israel and Iran remains the most challenging obstacle for this type of operation. However, Israel’s arsenal of long-range fighters and its potentially nuclear-capable intermediate-range ballistic missile would lead to an effective operation.

In 1967, Israel’s Minister of Defense Moshe Dayan made a fateful decision. Just after Israel, through force of arms, took possession of east Jerusalem, including the Old City and the Temple Mount, Dayan declared that Jewish visitors to the Mount would not be allowed to pray, either aloud or silently, at the site. You read that right: At the holiest site in Judaism, Jews would not be allowed to pray. Dayan, himself completely secular and insufficiently appreciative of the rights of religious Jews, thought that such a prohibition would be a way of winning favor with the Arabs.

The Judea and Samaria Law failed to pass a vote in the Knesset plenum late Monday night.

The bill presented by New Hope Justice Minister Gideon Sa’ar and supported by the coalition, fell in a vote of 58 to 52. Ahead of the vote, Sa’ar declared it the vote that would decide the fate of the coalition based on how the coalition members voted.

With 3 Clinton donors on the jury and a judge who is the poster boy for conflicts of interest, the outcome of the Michael Sussmann trial was never in doubt. But these are also the same conflicts that made Russiagate possible and trying a Russiagate case in D.C. entirely hopeless.

D.C.’s professional class build their careers around a web of personal connections. And no one was better at pulling on all those connections than the Clintons who had spent a generation assembling their own political machine of careerists and loyalists by offering them positions in the government and their non-profit organizations. The Clintons had built an army and a state within a state. Russiagate, at the most basic level, was an attempt by corrupt careerists before the election to protect their future jobs and after the election to exact an embittered revenge.

Ilhan Omar is thrilled; on Friday, she retweeted a tweet celebrating the fact that the Islamic call to prayer, the adhan, has begun to be broadcast over loudspeakers in Minneapolis. According to the Associated Press, Minneapolis “became the first large city in the United States to allow the Islamic call to prayer, or adhan, to be broadcast publicly by its two dozen mosques.” AP added that “the transforming soundscape is testament to the large and increasingly visible Muslim community, which is greeting the change with both celebration and caution, lest it cause backlash.”

Most recently, Musk addressed the economy in America and was hesitant about what lay ahead, given the current leadership in D.C. Not only were his words met with criticism, but he also targeted the ESG index after Tesla was dropped. He admitted, “ESG is a scam. It has been weaponized by phony social justice warriors.” On top of attacking the ESG index, the Biden administration, and the WEF, it seems Musk isn’t remotely slowing down as he implored as to why the Department of Justice hasn’t released the client list of both Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell.

Like a terminally ill patient who defies a doctor’s predictions, the Bennett-Lapid government has held together for a year, and almost managed not to destroy what Netanyahu achieved.

Like a terminally ill patient who defied doctors’ predictions, Lapid and Bennett are rounding out a year in office. From the prime minister down, the sense is that the end could come at any time. Meanwhile, willpower and miracles are keeping the patient alive, for who knows how long.

In these difficult political conditions, the “feudal government” is seeing not inconsiderable successes. Much of these rest on Netanyahu’s time in office, like the quiet in the Gaza Strip since Operation Guardian of the Walls, the improved economic situation, the low prices of energy (Yuval Steinitz gets the praise for that one), Israel’s freedom of action in Syria and – according to foreign reports – in Iran, and of course the Abraham Accords. Lapid and Bennett have barely ruined any of these. Here and there, they managed to make improvements.

T. Belman.  I met Jasser in Washington about 15 years ago and have been following him since. At the time he was planning a million man march among Muslims for reform. Only about 50,000 people showed up and they were mostly Jews. I took the position that the reason he couldn’t get traction among fellow Muslims was the fault of the then US government because it was favouring CAIR. I argued that the US should reject CAIR and embrace Jasser’s movement and even finance it.  It was his movement that the US should recognize as the voice of the Muslim community.  Alas, it was not to be.

Zuhdi Jasser is a reformer aspiring for relevance, but his efforts are in vain, because real Islam is impossible to reform. Op-ed.

It is now three months since the west launched its economic war against Russia, and it is not going according to plan. On the contrary, things are going very badly indeed.

Sanctions were imposed on Vladimir Putin not because they were considered the best option, but because they were better than the other two available courses of action: doing nothing or getting involved militarily.

The Biden administration’s obsession with boosting the Palestinian cause at the expense of Israel continues apace.

It was reported last week that the administration had reluctantly abandoned its proposal to reopen the Palestinian consulate in Jerusalem.

In 2019, former President Donald Trump had closed the consulate down. Israel objected to the American plan to reopen it on the basis that a mission serving Palestinian Arabs that operated from Israeli territory was an encroachment on Israeli sovereignty.

The duplicity of Berlin’s political establishment is hard to match. On the one hand, city authorities recently banned the “Al-Quds Day” parade which during many years featured pacifist chants such as “Death to Israel!” and “Jewish swine come outside and fight alone!”

Realizing the harm the annual event did to Berlin’s global brand as an international capital of peace and tolerance, this year the city of Berlin banned the parade. The city of Berlin’s hypocrisy unfortunately did not end.

Organized by Israel’s embassy in France (which paid for this reporter’s flight) and the American Jewish Committee’s Paris office, the one-day event brought together French and African journalists, diplomats, entrepreneurs and artists to examine the future of Israeli cooperation with African countries and businesses.
