Election Whores of the Democrat Party

by Linda Goudsmit, PUNDICITY      May 8, 2022

Election integrity and freedom of speech are the two most basic requirements for a democracy, a government by the people, exercised directly or through elected representatives. The 2020 United States presidential election breached them both. Unprecedented in US election history, Democrat-run cities in battleground states suspended vote-counting, and then mysteriously resumed with drastically changed trajectories of the vote count. Americans went to sleep certain that President Donald Trump had been reelected. When they woke up, Joe Biden had mysteriously surged ahead to “win” the election. Americans remain shocked, confused, and angry. What happened??

Forever War Revisited

American support for Ukraine is chasing an elusive, vaguely defined victory similar to the fruitless 20-year American commitment in Afghanistan.

“So will the United States support Ukraine until it is ground into dust? In order to avoid needless human suffering, we could push Ukraine towards some reasonable accommodation with Russia “

By

Afghanistan was rightly called a forever war. At nearly 20 years, it more than doubled the time of America’s combat action in Vietnam and was five times longer than American fighting during World War II.

At least part of the problem in Afghanistan arose from the vague definition of victory. Dealing with insurgents and global terrorists rather than nation-states, it was unlikely that representatives of al-Qaeda and the Taliban would someday surrender on the deck of a battleship.

Perils of Putin’s Victory Parade

by Amir Taheri, GATESTONE  •  May 8, 2022

  • Rather than signaling the end of hostilities, Putin may announce a widening of the perimeters of a war he no longer controls.
  • The invasion [of Ukraine] has led to an unexpected strengthening of creaking political and military bonds among Western powers and whetted their appetite for regime change in Moscow, something that many, perhaps even most, would have shied away from before Putin began raining his missiles on Kiev.

The Entire BDS Movement is a Fraud

T. Belman. I have always thought that the purpose of the movement was to create a platform from which to spew their anti-Israel venom. So for me it was always about smearing Israel rather than hurting her economically. Because they were always about arguing for a boycott, they were invited everywhere to speak. It was a legitimate academic discussion.

Similarly the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) was not about liberating a non-existing country but about destroying Israel

By Civis Americanus, AM THINKER

The express purpose of the Arab League’s Resolution 1547 was to weaponize displaced Palestinian Arabs against Israel. This is incontrovertible and damning evidence that every single organization and business that is involved in the anti-Israel boycott, divestment, and sanctions (BDS) movement is at best a stooge and enabler, if not a willful participant, in an international fraud that abuses the trust of the entire international community to support the agenda of terrorists.

New Views of Moderation, Resistance and the Holocaust in the Middle East

by Najat Al-Saied. GATESTONE  •  May 8, 2022

  • The real danger lies not only in denying that the Holocaust took place, but, worse, in rewriting history, especially by those who oppose peace and stability. Their main motive seems to be to perpetuate hatred and hostility so that the conflict — their raison d’être and possibly also their careers — remains continuous and immortal.
  • The real dispute in the Middle East is actually between two axes: an Axis of Moderation and an Axis of Resistance (to moderation, non-violence, normalization and peace).

Hamas Must Be Destroyed

by Victor Rosenthal    May 8/22

Whoever has a gun should prepare it, and whoever does not have a gun should prepare his cleaver, axe, or knife. – Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar, 30 April 2022.

Nothing characterized Jewish life everywhere during the two millennia of diaspora more than the contingency of it. There were good times, bad times, and worse times, but unless some non-Jewish power protected them temporarily – and it was always temporary – anything could be done to the Jews. Their property could be stolen, their women violated, their homes burned. Over and over.

Democracy on a Suicide Path; Israeli-Arabs As New Homeowners In Israel

By  Dr. Mordechai Kedar, NEWS BLAZE    May 7/22

Young Arabs’ violent protest in Israel – Photo courtesy Mordechai Kedar

For years I have been yelling from my op-ed pages that Israel is aiding and abetting a homegrown Arab Fifth Column. Sadly, my yelling fell on deaf ears and now my warning is in play. Israel is now a democracy on a suicide path.

What is there to do about the young Arabs who feel that the State of Israel is crumbling in front of their eyes?

This op-ed, in Hebrew, by Mordechai Kedar, PhD, was translated to English by Nurit Greenger | May 4, 2022

Israel’s war for independence is far from over – opinion

I’m tired of this. I’m tired of seeing our so-called leaders taking our flag, washing out the blue and only leaving the white of surrender.

I am privileged this year to celebrate our Independence Day as a free person in the Land of Israel. After enduring 35 years of prison and house arrest due to my actions as an Israeli agent, my love for this country and its wonderful citizens has only increased with each and every day that passes. More than anything else, though, I am deeply grateful to God for all our brave soldiers, who in their devotion to the survival of our country allow the miracle of our national rebirth to reoccur every day of the year.

Why Russia risks losing Syria to Iran

In the event of intensified fighting in Syria, Assad will likely turn to Iran rather than Russia for support.<
>

Russia’s military debacle in Ukraine will have serious consequences for Moscow’s geopolitical position. Unable to defeat one of the poorest countries in Europe, the Kremlin will now have a hard time preserving its traditional allies in the Russian sphere of influence.

This is especially true in Syria, which has been under Moscow’s strategic umbrella since the Soviet era. For instance, Turkey’s recent decision to close its airspace to Russian aircraft transiting to Syria, viewed as applying pressure on Moscow over its war in Ukraine, will affect Russian military capabilities in Syria, where more than 63,000 Russian troops have deployed.

Russian forces abandon Syrian bases ready to fly to Ukraine

T. Belman. “key bases” only. Doesn’t mean that Russia is abandoning Syria.

DEBKA  May 6/22

Russian units deployed to Syria are assembling at the air bases of  Hmeimim, Qamishli, Deir e-Zor and T4, ready for some to transfer to the Ukraine warfront. DEBKAfile’s military sources report that the Russians are handing over key bases to Iran’s Revolutionary Guards and Hizballah.

Iran Mullahs Escalate Threats Against Jews, Biden Administration Appeases Mullahs Even More

by Majid Rafizadeh, GATESTONE  •  May 7, 2022

  • These US rewards to Iran for terrorism, destabilizing the region, treating its own people with brutality and cheating on 2015 nuclear deal would significantly increase Iran’s revenues; these, in turn, will doubtless be funneled into the pockets of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), the Quds Force and their militia and terror groups including Hamas, the Houthis and Hezbollah for still more expansionism and terror.

“Ukraine Is Going to End Up Winning” | GoodFellows: Conversations From The Hoover Institution

MAY 4/22

Ukraine Is Going to Win

America’s heavy weapons will make the difference against the Russians

By Charles Lipson, The SPECTATOR

The climactic battle for Ukraine is being fought in the east, on the dangerous, open terrain of the Donbas. Since it will be won with heavy, long-range firepower, Russia ought to have a huge advantage. After all, it has spent decades building a military meant to overwhelm its enemies with vast numbers of tanks, troops and artillery, fighting on terrain just like this.
