Perfidious France, UK, Canada and Australia-Israel’s Sovereignty Cannot be Denied

Peloni:  Highly recommended article.  In the following essay, Leonard Grunstein reminds the world of the legal framework upon which the state of Israel was reconstituted with the consent and support of the world enshrined in international law, and which remain binding to this day.  Providing a highly granular description of the documents documents and covenants, Grunstein highlights the proper arguments which should be raised in recognition of Israel’s sovereignty and her integral international rights before the world.  In a single voice, this is what should be spoken of by PM Netanyahu, FM Sa’ar, Finance Minister Smotrich and others when both defending those rights, as well as implementing policies which secure those rights.  These are also the arguments which should be raised to challenge and defeat the illicitly illegal attempts to create a new Arab state the basis on which is entirely undone by the legal arguments, documents and treaties discussed in this essay below.  As the title states, Israel’s Sovereignty Cannot be Denied.  Please share widely.

France, the United Kingdom (UK), Canada and Australia (collectively, the Perfidious Quartet) would violate international agreements to which they are bound, if they unilaterally recognize a so-called Palestinian state within the area of Israel between the Jordan River and the Mediterranean Sea. These are boundaries delineated in the 1920 San Remo Resolution, unanimously confirmed by the League of Nations in 1922. In addition, the UK would be violating the 1924 Anglo-American Convention with the US.

  • Qassem Warns of Civil War in Lebanon: Hezbollah Secretary-General Naim Qassem gave a fiery speech on August 15, warning that there would be “no life in Lebanon” if the Lebanese government moves forward with its plan to impose a state monopoly on arms and disarm the Iran-backed terrorist organization. “The resistance will not surrender its weapons while aggression continues [and] occupation persists,” Qassem said, adding that Hezbollah “will fight it … if necessary to confront this American-Israeli project, no matter the cost.” He further pressed the Lebanese government “not to hand over the country to an insatiable Israeli aggressor or an American tyrant with limitless greed.”

China Throws A Fit After US Identifies Key Weakness In Trade Talks

Peloni:  Using Russia’s BRICS partners/customers against Russia provides the US with an important demonstration of leverage over Russia, with an implied threat against China as well.  As these sanctions are weaponizing Russia’s trading partners against Russia, so too, the same measures might be applied against China, with arguably greater strength.

Fresh Thinking about Gaza & Mamdani

Peloni:  This conversation between Liel Liebovitz and Jonathan Tobin is a must see video.  Liel provides an optimistic perspective for both Israel and the Diaspora, in the long term, which few have voiced.  Such optimistic outlooks are important to keep in mind as the war in Gaza and the war against the Jewish people more globally persists.  Very interesting conversation.

Madeline Brooks:  Jonathan Tobin’s guest, Liel Liebovitz, describes the Israeli left’s “drunken” rage against Bibi drowning out reason; Israeli soldiers understand that Gaza must be destroyed while the generals want to play nice with the international community.

What excites me the most about this video is his logical explanation of how Gaza must be humiliated and its land taken to get them beaten, and make Israel (and international Jewry) safe. I just would like him to go fruther than saying they must be relocated. No. They must be done to as has been done to every other enemy army.

Assad Is Gone. The Syrian Problem Persists

Hussain Abdul-Hussain | Aug 12, 2025

Nine months after Bashar al-Assad’s fall and Ahmad al-Sharaa’s rise to power, the UN Security Council met to address Syria’s ongoing crisis. The Council urged Damascus to establish a government “of the Syrians, by the Syrians, for the Syrians.” Despite the change in leadership, the Security Council views Syria as a failing state. Damascus must implement UNSCR 2254 and dismantle the Islamist monopoly on power.

History shows that without a major power enforcing its resolutions, the Security Council’s decisions are toothless. In the Middle East, and Syria in particular, only the United States has the influence to effect change. Yet US Envoy Tom Barrack appears enamored with Sharaa’s Islamist regime in Damascus.

Finance Minister Smotrich’s Jewish settlement plan earns worldwide condemnation, US signals tacit support

Peloni:  The lack of any condemnation, and instead offering tacit approval, is a monumental shift in US policy.

Smotrich vows to ‘build Jewish reality’ on the ground, ‘bury idea of Palestinian state’

A new round of worldwide condemnations struck Israel on Thursday after Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich announced his approval of a settlement plan, which he says will be the “final nail in the coffin” of a Palestinian state.

German defense firm Renk explores US production to keep supplying Israel

Peloni:  Financial Times announces one of Germany main arms producers is threatening to move part of its production to the US where they can continue to ship arms parts to Israel. Notably, by doing so, they will also sidestep US tariffs on those sales. Is this the first of many moves to the US among German arms producers? Either way, this is the last thing the German economy needed.

CEO says company has “responsibility” to maintain Israel’s deterrence despite Berlin’s arms embargo.

Israfan | August 15, 2025

German defense contractor Renk Group is considering shifting production to the United States to continue supplying Israel with gearboxes for tanks and armored vehicles, despite Berlin’s recent decision to halt arms exports that could be used in Gaza.

Now What?

by Victor Rosenthal | Aug 1, 2025

Today, Jews cannot walk down the street in North America, Europe, or even Australia without the possibility of being spat on, beaten, or even murdered. Country after country mulls punishing Israel and rewarding Hamas [!] by the absurd recognition of Palestine, a non-country without defined borders. Almost 700 days after Israel was invaded and more than 1200 Israelis viciously slaughtered, tortured, raped, kidnapped – Hamas survives, receiving water, food, fuel and electricity from Israel. The war in Gaza is static, almost 900 Israeli soldiers have been killed and countless wounded, and 20 living hostages still remain in the tunnels under the Gaza strip.

How we got here is not the issue. International and domestic politics, manipulation of consciousness, covert financing of ‘popular’ movements, religious imperatives, power struggles, wars, terrorism, honor and shame, and of course, the oldest hatred all played a part. But the hour is too late for historical analysis and philosophical arguments. It’s time to act.

Firing in the wrong direction: Defending Israel-haters isn’t noble

Free speech is not an absolute right; it comes with responsibility.

Moshe Phillips | Aug 12, 2025

A major free-speech organization made headlines this month for its advocacy on behalf of two students—Mahmoud Khalil and Rümeysa Öztürk—claiming that their anti-Israel speech is being unfairly targeted. The Foundation for Individual Rights and Expression (FIRE) frames this as a fight for free speech, but it misses a crucial point: Not all speech should be protected, especially when it is aimed at generating violence.

Avi Abelow & Jonathan Pollard: Bibi cedes territory again; AND, most important, some hard truths about the hostages

Peloni:  Welll said Madeline!  Avi and Jonathan are 100% correct that Israel needs to take responsibility for and ownership of Gaza.  Outsourcing its control of these Jewish lands was what led to October 7, and Bibi’s move to turn it over to some third party will only result in a return to the October 6 mentality, defying the tragedy which was the direct consequence to such a mentality.

Madeline Brooks

What’s more important, rescuing remaining hostages, or protecting living Jews in Israel? Jonathan goes for the latter, pointing out that the three months or so it would take to find and rescue the starving hostages would be futile. They would die in that time anyway since the videos show them so close to death even now.  Sounds heartless, but at least it is a move towards strategic thinking.

Professor Norman Fenton on the Overwhelming Propaganda Against Israel

Peloni:  The brilliant Prof. Fenton, whose expertise and leadership was so useful in distinguishing fact from fantasy while investigating the Covid scam, shares with us, among other matters, the important move by which the Medical Freedom Movement was teased towards supporting the malicious and incompetent narratives which condemned Israel for the war which was launched.  The effect of the willingness to be misled within the Medical Freedom Movement is still to this day having an effect, as the application of critical thinking is exclusively employed to delegitimize Israel, regardless of distinguishing facts which are too routinely ignored by many when such facts fails to support the Pro-Hamas narrative.

Why Israel Is Losing the ‘Propaganda War’

Peloni:  I recall a podcaster some years ago who breathed the words, “I have been wanting to say this for a long time”, and followed those telling words with a long litany of antisemitic ramblings ending with the conclusion that Jews were the real Nazis.  In fact, such closet antisemites have been granted a sense of comfort in this new antisemitic war which has been breaking lose in recent years, most acutely since October 7.  As Seth Mandel explains in this excellent essay, those who accept such obviously false sources as sources worth citing are in fact simply acting out the part of that podcaster I mentioned above as she mouthed the words, “I have been wanting to say this for a long time”.  Their purpose is not considerate, nor deductive, but is instead complicit and malicious in nature.  It is simply that simple.

In the spring of 1945, Italy’s most famous newspaper editor was gunned down, mere days before a controversial Austrian newspaper owner and artist died by gunshot at point-blank range.

I suppose there are better ways to describe the deaths of Mussolini and Hitler, but in the year 2025 this would likely be the more common path media would take.

“Palestine” Invades the U.K.

by Rafael Medoff

A recent chance encounter in London’s Heathrow Airport offered a troubling glimpse of the extent to which anti-Israel hate is penetrating youth culture in the United Kingdom.

The encounter in question was not with a person, but rather a newspaper—the latest issue of The Skinny. Distributed free to the more than 200,000 travelers who pass through Heathrow daily—and many others, elsewhere—The Skinny is the second largest magazine of culture and listings in the United Kingdom. Its format and radicalism—political as well as cultural—are reminiscent of The Village Voice.

Weaponizing truth, weaponizing lies

Peloni: Excellent description of the full context of the information war which is being mounted against Israel.

The Associated Press, the New York Times, the Daily Express and many others remove truth-telling from their pages in favour of a place in the Information War that juggles truth and lies.

I am a specialist in ideologies, culture and values. I have written 5 books including several on how certain ideological agendas have contaminated journalism and higher education – so that truth is no longer the foundation of justice.

In my first book, The Second Catastrophe: A Novel About a Book and its Author, a Canadian professor learns the hard way how Leftist and Islamist values conflict with traditional norms of Canadian fairness,

An Existential Threat to and from the Intelligence Community

Peloni:  The important revelations of DNI Gabbard have certainly raised her credibility with many, but to this I would only raise the question why the US intelligence agencies, who raw intelligence is filtered thru Gabbard and her office, required two near septuagenarian diplomats to travel to Gaza before the US could ascertain that there was no famine taking place in Gaza, and that the only systematic starvation there is among the Israel’s being held as human chits and chattel.  Indeed, while the release of the Deep State revelations continue in the US, why is it that US intelligence was incapable of drawing these conclusions without having to risk Trump’s Mideast Envoy and Israeli Ambassador to the possible harms of entering a war zone?  Could it be related to Gabbard’s consistently poor judgement which I previously related, or to other details of Gabbard’s background related by Kelleigh Nelson?  Or is it something else which caused yet another intelligence failure coming from US intelligence, this time under Gabbard’s watch?

Director of National Intelligence (DNI) Tulsi Gabbard’s declassification of communications and reports that implicate Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama, senior officials from the Obama administration, and former heads of the Intelligence Community in a conspiracy to frame President Trump with the Russia Collusion Hoax is nothing less than earth-shattering.
