Israel Health Minister Caught on Hot Mic Confesses: There is No ‘Medical Justification’ for Covid Passports

By

The health minister of Israel has admitted on a ‘hot mic’ that there is no “medical or epidemiological justification for the Covid passport.”

“There is no medical or epidemiological justification for the Covid passport, it is only intended to pressure the unvaccinated to vaccinate,” Health Minister Nitzan Horowitz said in video that was aired on Channel 12.

“Several ministers were overheard prior to a cabinet meeting on Sunday saying that some coronavirus-related restrictions are only aimed at incentivizing vaccination, rather than driving down morbidity, while lamenting that the unvaccinated are taking up hospital beds,” the Times of Israel reported on the incident.

INTO THE FRAY: Lapid on Gaza – Stupid is as stupid does

By MARTIN SHERMAN, IISS

Lapid’s recent Gaza policy proposal is just one more display in an appalling catalogue of his imbecility-cum-ignorance, which, in light of his electoral success, is—in itself—a grave indictment of the Israeli voter

Two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity; and I’m not sure about the universe—attributed to Albert Einstein.

The Israeli Arab Murder Epidemic

by Victor Rosenthal

Everyone in Israel is talking about the explosion of violent crime among Arab citizens. As of today there have been 95 murders of Israeli Arabs in 2021. Extrapolated to 12 months and divided by the Arab population of Israel, this comes out to an annual rate of 6 murders per 100,000 people. This does not approach Chicago’s murder rate of 29 per 100,000 (in Chicago’s black community this number rises to 66!), or El Salvador’s 84, but it is still 12 times greater than the 0.5 per 100,000 rate among Israel’s Jews.

Why I Am Suing UCLA

I refused to discriminate against my students. Then the problems began.

By Gordon Klein

Recently, I was suspended from my job for refusing to treat my black students as lesser than their non-black peers.

Let me back up: I teach at UCLA’s Anderson School of Management, and I’ve been doing this for 40 years. I’ve taught 15 different courses, in finance, accounting and law. CNBC has had me on; I’ve been quoted in The Wall Street Journal.

“Back to Pre-9/11. But It’s Worse”

By Guy Millière, GATESTONE INSTITUTE  •  October 3, 2021

  • The election of President Joe Biden under extremely questionable conditions was hugely welcomed by many in America and Europe…. The leaders of countries that are the enemies of the United States seemed even more delighted. Iran’s then President Hassan Rouhani said on November 5, 2020: “The next US administration will surrender to the Iranian nation”. Communist China’s President Xi Jinping said nothing but instantly stepped up military provocations against Taiwan and Australia, India, the Philippines and Japan.

Inequality — the Engine of Prosperity

By Alexander G. Markovsky, AM THINKER

Throughout the history of civilization, people have been dreaming of a perfect world — full employment, full satisfaction of material and intellectual needs, and equal distribution of wealth — only to discover, to their disappointment, that this utopian system does not exist on this side of the grave.

Nevertheless, the illusory ideas of economic equality transcend time and appeal to people of all colors and races. If the supporters of economic equality, including Marxist graduates of American universities, absorb human history, they may realize that the only historical datum that points to economic equality goes back to the era of primitive communism. Ten thousand years ago, before farming, people were forced to obtain food collectively. Everything that was produced was immediately consumed. This primitive society produced no surplus and created no wealth. Under such arrangement, the private property was limited to personal articles of clothing, hunting tools, etc. resulting in total economic equality — in absolute poverty. Ironically, this is the only way economic equality can be achieved — economic equality and wealth are mutually exclusive.

It’s time to stop bad-mouthing those dubious about the vaccines

It’s time to stop bad-mouthing those dubious about the vaccines

By Brad Lena, AM THINKER

Describing people who decline the Covid-19 vaccines as anti-vaxxers is, at best, a misnomer or, at its worst, bigotry. It draws no distinction between those opposed to vaccines in general and those opposed to Covid vaccines.

Nevertheless, governments and the media use this descriptor to villainize those who suspect that these actors have less than good motives to justify destroying businesses, wiping out jobs, crippling the global supply chain, overseeing mounting collateral deaths, and suppressing civil, legal, and human rights—among other fallout from the effort to combat a bronchial virus with astonishingly high recovery rates and low mortality rates. Moreover, let’s not forget how these same efforts have led to massively expanding the command-and-control government.

Israel and the Palestinian Arabs: a dead-end cul-de-sac. BRILLIANT ARTICLE

Israeli leaders today are preoccupied with being seen as “anti-Bibi”.and have no need for pessimism. Or realism, it seems. So let us offer the cynicism. Op-ed.

By Meir Jolovitz, INN

Paul Harvey, for four decades an icon of American broadcasting history, was often referred to as the most listened to voice in radio history. For two generations this conservative storyteller brought us the news, and established a repository of witty observations that defined his expressive and always eloquent style. Among his frequently quoted quips was this gem: “If there is a 50-50 chance that something can go wrong, then 9 times out of ten it will.”

Perspicacious observers of Israeli political affairs would concur with Harvey’s wisecrack and readily recall how often that has been the case; in fact, as often as every time one finds reason to be optimistic about finding some détente with an adversary still dedicated to your demise.

Germany’s election result could soon be inspiring Europe’s centre left

If Olaf Scholz becomes chancellor after his narrow victory, progressives across the continent will be trying to imitate him.

Germany’s general election signals far more than just the end of the Angela Merkel era. Although it will eventually produce yet another centrist coalition government, this should not be dismissed as simply the same old same-old. For the new government will represent several steps into the unknown. There will be significant lessons and lasting political consequences – for Germany above all, but also for the continent of which, in spite of everything, Britain remains part.

Makiing Sense of the German Electorate’s Shift to the Left

T. Belman. This is why I rooted for the the AfD Party. I felt Israel and Jews had more to be concerned from the left than the right. I felt the left is more antisemitic than the right.  In the US we also have more to be concerned from the left than the right.

Israel should not be under any delusion that the Social Democratic Party has its back. If anything, the slide to the Left, as it is being called in Germany, has serious implications for the Jewish state.

By Benjamin Weinthal, ISRAEL HAYOM       September 30, 2021

The composition of the next German government remains unclear but one thing is certain: With the Social Democratic Party (SPD) securing a victory over Chancellor Angela Merkel’s conservative Christian Democratic Union (CSU) in the federal election, the country has undergone a Linksrutsch – a “slide to the Left.”

From the perspective of Israel’s security and defense establishment, the prospect of a left-wing chancellor beholden to an increasingly anti-Israel base does not bode well. As head of the largest party, the SPD’s Olaf Scholz has the best chance to replace Merkel after her nearly 16 years in office.

New Biden rules would limit arrest, deportation of migrants

By Ben Fox, AP             October 1, 2021

WASHINGTON (AP) — Facing bipartisan criticism over its approach to immigration, the Biden administration on Thursday announced new rules that require authorities to only pursue migrants who recently crossed into the country without permission or are deemed to pose a threat to public safety.

The new guidelines replace interim rules issued in February that were initially blocked by a federal judge in August as part of a lawsuit brought by Texas and Louisiana. They break from a more aggressive approach to immigration enforcement under former President Donald Trump, who early in his presidency directed authorities to apprehend anyone who was illegally in the country.

Arizona AG Demands Maricopa County Freeze Election Audit Materials

By  Jonathan Davis,  CONS BRIEF     September 30, 2021<
>
Arizona Attorney General Mark Brnovich has demanded that Maricopa County freeze all materials related to the recently completed audit of the 2020 election ahead of his office preparing litigation and additional investigation.

The Election Integrity Unit within the AG’s office sent a letter on Monday to the Arizona Senate “requesting supporting documents from the report released last week,” according to a press release. “Additionally, the EIU asked Maricopa County to preserve all documents and data related to the 2020 election.”

Americans’ Shifting Views on the Palestinian-Israeli Conflict

by Eytan Gilboa, Middle East Quarterly
Fall 2021 (view PDF)

As the worldwide mass demonstrations during the latest war between Israel and Hamas vividly illustrate, every conflict is fought twice: first on the battlefield, then in public opinion. Having failed to destroy the State of Israel upon its birth and in ensuing decades of terrorism, the Palestinians waged a sustained propaganda battle to win over Western hearts and minds, especially in the United States, the foremost world power and Israel’s staunchest and most longstanding ally.

Turning Israel’s struggle for survival upside down—with aggressors turned into hapless victims and vice versa—the fake Palestinian narrative of unblemished victimhood has made inroads into American public opinion. This has been especially true since the onset of the Oslo “peace process,” which transformed the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) overnight from the world’s leading terror organization into a (supposed) peaceable political actor.

What is the ‘2-state solution’ about?

The recent drama about US funding for Iron Dome was just a sideshow to Rep. Andy Levin’s proposed amendment to the Anti-Terrorism Act of 1987, which would effectively support Palestinian terrorism against Israel.

Last week, after the House of Representatives overwhelmingly approved the supplemental spending bill for the Iron Dome program, everyone from House Speaker Nancy Pelosi to the Biden White House, to Prime Minister Naftali Bennett and Foreign Minister Yair Lapid, quickly proclaimed bipartisan support in Washington for the US-Israel alliance is as strong as it ever was. Unfortunately, even before the bill passed, it was clear that the opposite was the case.

Eight House members from the leftist edge of the political spectrum voted against the Iron Dome funding and two of their comrades voted “present.”
