In the recent hostilities between Israel and its attackers in Gaza, a prime Israel-bashing meme was — as ever — the falsehood that the Israeli forces were killing a huge number of Gaza’s civilians.

In vain did defenders of Israel point out that Hamas deliberately sited its missiles and other weaponry in and among apartment buildings, schools and hospitals in order to maximise civilian casualties of Israeli air strikes and thus defame Israel as a wanton aggressor.

The World Economic Forum announced June 29 it will initiate a new “public-private partnership” with Big Tech and governments around the world to identify and uproot all opinions from the Internet that it considers “harmful.”

The WEF is one of those elitist organizations that wields enormous influence over the elected leaders of Western nations but which almost nobody in the general population has heard of.

Its members are internationalist corporate honchos and technocrats who meet once a year in Davos with the stated goal of working to “shape global, regional and industry agendas.”

George Washington University Law School professor Jonathan Turley has posited that recent unanimous Supreme Court rulings may be the Court sending a message to politicians.  Facing threats to pack the Supreme Court and calls for Justice Stephen Breyer to resign, Turley believes that the Court is making a rare show of unity.  Apparently, the logic is that if they show they’re not ideological (I know, don’t laugh), the Democrats will understand that packing the Court won’t make any difference.  They’re trying to validate Chief Justice John Roberts’s claim that there are no “Obama judges” or “Trump judges.”

There’s just one problem: the Supreme Court is both political and ideological, and everyone knows it.  Trying to gaslight everyone now is asking us to ignore fifty years of bad behavior.  Good luck with that.

Omar has demonstrated again and again that she is a dedicated ideologue who is committed to anti-Zionist politics and never shy about employing anti-Semitic tropes to advance that cause.

The really interesting thing about her is why so many liberal Jews, Jewish organizations and even Jewish members of Congress are not only afraid to stand up to her, but often bend over backwards to rationalize or justify her outrageous behavior. Yet this explains a great deal about how a largely dysfunctional organized Jewish world has failed to respond effectively to a surge of anti-Semitism emanating from the left-wing of the Democratic Party.

It’s been a gold star week for the men and women of the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

Nearly six months after the events of January 6, the FBI, under the direction of Joe Biden’s vengeful Justice Department, is accelerating the nationwide manhunt for anyone involved. Since June 23, agents have arrested 17 people from Florida to California. Charges range from assaulting police officers and criminal trespassing to something called “destruction of property in special maritime and territorial jurisdiction and aiding and abetting.”

I have often wondered about people who express themselves under cover of anonymity.  I suspect that despite the bravado to support his vulgarity, he prefers secrecy lest he be recognized by family and friends.  He is properly deserving of shame.  He suggests that an incredible evil befall the world.

In response to my essay, “Endangered Species,” I received a reply from someone signed Kelvin Throop, who is R.A.J. Phillips’s literary character known for his acerbic memos.  His/her identity, therefore, remains anonymous.  And no wonder, inasmuch as s(he) expresses a theory for settling the strife in the Middle East that is taken from the worst inhumanity of Islam and Hitler’s fascism.  It is presented as an objective, modest proposal of conveniently disappearing an entire people.

Supreme Court ruling upholding Arizona voting restrictions could spell trouble for a legal challenge by U.S Attorney General Merrick Garland to a new Georgia election integrity law.

The court ruled Thursday in a 6-3 vote that a set of Arizona voting rules do not violate federal law. Breaking along conservative-liberal ideological lines, the court found that the state’s voting policies were not enacted with a racially discriminatory purpose that would have violated the 1965 Voting Rights Act.
