The only demonstrable result of government-imposed COVID-19 lockdowns has been the destruction of national economies, the crippling of domestic and cultural life, the suffering and death of multitudes due to untreated prior medical conditions, and the drastic rise in suicide rates. The lockdowns themselves have seemed to do little to prevent the onset of the disease, hence one lockdown after another has led to no discernible effect—apart from the fact that the virus appears to strike primarily a designated older cohort of the population already suffering from comorbidities. A recent graph charting the effects of repeated lockdowns in the province of Ontario would appear to indicate that the lockdowns themselves are super-spreaders. Texas Tech professor Gilbert Berdine sums up: “After taking the unprecedented economic depression into account, history will likely judge these lockdowns to be the greatest policy error of this generation.”

A number of people are aware of the controversy about a health clinic in Williamsburg that started giving out COVID-19 vaccines to people other than the front-line health care workers. Indeed, such prominent Poskim as Rabbi Herschel Schachter and Rabbi Mordechai Willig received vaccinations from that organization as well. Rabbi Schachter even issued a statement that had he known that the origin of the vaccine was under question he would not have taken the vaccine.

What follows is an observation that has nothing to do with the details of this case, per se.  It is an observation that the policy that has been adopted by the CDC as to who should be vaccinated first – is, in this author’s opinion, morally and halachically [Jewish law] bankrupt.

• Government stimulus is powering much of the current growth as are net exports. Yet the current “flood of defaults” in China points to widespread weakness. Beijing’s spending spree, therefore, is not sustainable, even with the help of foreign investment.

Israel welcomed a delegation of leaders and activists from Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates earlier this month, following the success of the Abraham Accords that have normalized relations between Gulf and Muslim countries with Israel.

Under the auspices of a newly established organization named Sharaka (Arabic for “cooperation” or “partnership”), which “aims to lead social initiatives that bring Israel’s voice to strengthen familiarity with the State of Israel in the Arab world and create cooperation between young people in Israel and Arab states,” the group visited historical and cultural sites in Israel and meet with Israeli activists and leaders.

T. BELMAN. On Dec 1/20 I wrote this article, Belman: Pres Trump will declare Martial Law if necessary.

Two people wrote to me to say they were horrified that I would recommend Martial Law even though I wrote, “If he fails on both counts (legislators and court), he will declare a national emergency relying on the Insurrection Act and will do so before Biden’s inauguration and if needs be, before his certification.”

On Friday Trump’s legal team got shot down in Nevada, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Arizona and I think in Georgia and by Justice Alito.

I urge you to listen to the Zoom interview below in which I interviewed Tom Zawistowski, the person behind the movement to recommend Martial Law to enable a new election to take place.

I stand by my opinion that Martial Law is a better option than conceding defeat. What say you?

The Superior Court of Fulton County is set to hear a petition next week from a group of Georgian voters demanding a “forensic inspection” of mail-in ballots in the county from November’s presidential election.

“We have just received notice that we will be granted a hearing Monday, Jan. 4 at 11 a.m. on our Emergency Petition to visually inspect and forensically examine all Fulton County mail-in ballots,” Garland Favorito, one of the petitioners, told The Epoch Times. “That includes those processed at State Farm Arena and those that auditors detected as potentially fraudulent.”

T. Belman. I agree that Pence doesn’t have the power.  He has to open “all the Certificates”.  It is wrong to suggest that he can ignore those he considers illegal.  Even if Gohmert wins the case giving plenary power to Pence, he still must open all the Certificates.

Trump wants as many patriots as possible to come to Washington on Jan 6th because its going “to be wild”.  What’s wild about counting the votes. What’s wild about debating for up to two hours each even if new evidence is presented. After all the arguments and the evidence, to succeed a majority of Senators must refuse to accept the Certificates for Biden.  Given the reluctance of the Republican Senators to step up, this will not happen.

Surely Trump isn’t counting on Jan 6th to win the day. So to my mind, he can’t gamble on it.  I haven’t read of anything that he could do after Jan 6 to prevent Biden’s inauguration short of Declaring Martial Law to suspend the Constitution and Biden’s inauguration.  But how can Martial law undue the counting of his electors on Jan 6th?  So I think he must act before Jan 6 or at the latest, before the counting of the votes.

I think it will be “wild” because of what he is going to do. As one person in the know said, “Its going to get ugly”.

JAN 6TH IS A DISTRACTION.

There’s been a lot written about the power Vice President Pence has to turn the stolen election around on January 6. Many commentators on various sites including AT) have weighed in, some expressing hope, while other have expressed doubt Pence would do the right thing.

But it appears all of this is moot, as Bill Jacobson, founder of Legal Insurrection writes:

A claim has circulated widely in the past few days that Vice President Mike Pence, as President of the Senate, has the power and discretion to reject certifications. If Pence had such power and chose to exercise it, it would be over, but he doesn’t.

America is far from being an antisemitic country. In fact, it might be the first country in Jewish history where it’s actually “cool” to be Jewish. That’s one reason I’ve been so reluctant over the years to weigh in on the Jonathan Pollard affair — I’m so in love with this country and all it’s done for the Jews that the last thing I want is to appear ungrateful or, worse, disloyal.

Having said that, however, after a while it gets harder and harder to ignore what looks like blatant discrimination against a Jewish man who in 1987 pleaded guilty to spying for Israel. How else to explain the U.S. government’s harsh treatment of Pollard?

Nurit Greenger.  Jonathan Pollard was a victim of hate for Israel and overreaching Department Of State and other government branches. Indeed he was guilty of providing security information to a friendly power, Israel, but the punishment he was handed out by the court was far, far greater and excessive than the crime he committed deserved.

All that begs the question about why that was so; why Pollard spent 35 years as a state prisoner, regardless of the ongoing protest to have him released. Could it be the embedded antisemitism that was and still is a part of the Deep State? I am convinced that is exactly what was driving the court in this case.
