21:51 – Israel prepares for major escalation against Hezbollah

“We are on the eve of a fateful campaign in Lebanon which will determine the future of both countries,” a senior security official told Ynet News, adding that the cabinet was holding a security discussion on Wednesday evening.

“The campaign in Lebanon is going to expand significantly,” he said, which will also include the call-up of more reservists.

“Hezbollah, in its calculations, wants to turn our attention away from Iran, and thinks that if it draws us in, we will take our foot off the gas in the campaign against Iran,” said the official.

The terror group “wants to create a new balance in which Israel’s enforcement policy in Lebanon ends, and we don’t attack at all. That won’t happen. Therefore, this is heading toward a serious escalation.”

“We have more capabilities and tools, and we can conduct campaigns in parallel against Iran and against Lebanon,” the official concluded.

 

21:32 – IDF calls on residents of Hezbollah stronghold to evacuate as airstrikes begin

IDF Arabic Spokesman Col. Avichay Adraee urged residents of the Dahiyeh district in Beirut to evacuate immediately. Meanwhile, footage on social media and Lebanese reports suggested that the Israeli Air Force had begun a wave of airstrikes, amid continuing attacks on northern Israel by Hezbollah.

“In the wake of the serious crimes committed by the terrorist Hezbollah, the IDF will soon act with very great force against its facilities, interests, and combat means. Out of concern for your safety, we urge you to evacuate immediately,” said Adraee.

“Your presence near any military infrastructure affiliated with the terrorist Hezbollah poses a danger to you and your family members. Evacuate the area immediately and protect your lives. Do not return to the Southern Suburbs until further notice.”

Following large-scale rocket fire on northern Israel, the Israeli Air Force began “a large-scale wave of strikes on Hezbollah infrastructure in the Dahiyeh area of Beirut,” the military said, noting that “Interception efforts are ongoing.”

“The IDF is operating with determination against the Hezbollah terrorist organization following its deliberate decision to attack Israel on behalf of the Iranian regime. ”

“The IDF will not tolerate any harm to Israeli civilians and will forcibly respond against any threat posed to the State of Israel.”

 

20:53 – Hezbollah declares new ‘campaign’ against Israel, continues rocket & drone fire

Hezbollah declared the start of a new “campaign” against Israel, dubbing it “al-asf al-ma’akul,” meaning “the eaten straw,” an allusion to a verse from the Quran describing the destruction of the enemies of Allah.

Meanwhile, the terror group continued incessant rocket and drone attacks against northern Israel, after launching a massive 100-rocket barrage earlier.

Magen David Adom updated that two people were lightly wounded in that barrage, and were taken to hospitals for treatment.

20:42 – Israel expects heavier fire than usual this evening, Iran & Hezbollah coordinating strikes

Israel is expecting heavy, coordinated attacks this evening, according to a report by Channel 12. Cabinet ministers were reportedly updated about this assessment.

“The coming 24 hours will significantly shape the continuation of the campaign in Lebanon. Hezbollah is bringing about its own end with its own hands,” a senior official told the channel.

“For the first time since the beginning of the campaign, there is relatively high certainty in Israel that tonight’s firing toward the north was coordinated between Iran and Hezbollah,” a senior official told Channel 13.

Shortly after Hezbollah launched a 100-rocket barrage at various targets across northern Israel, the Iranian regime joined with a ballistic missile attack that targeted the Haifa area.

Hezbollah’s attack was the largest in the war so far, and comes after Israeli authorities warned residents in the area to stay close to bomb shelters this evening.

In a video statement, opposition leader Yair Lapid urged the government not to end the war before the goals have been achieved, including the change of the regime in Iran, and the destruction of its nuclear and ballistic missile programs.

“The war cannot end with the prime minister once again promising us that he has ‘eliminated forever and ever all the threats,’ as he promised us last June and it didn’t happen, or that there will be an ‘absolute victory’ as was promised to us in Gaza and it didn’t happen. It cannot be that Israeli citizens will discover that this was just another round, after all,” said Lapid.

“IDF troops are conducting targeted raids in southern Lebanon as part of the IDF’s forward defensive posture in the area,” the Israeli military stated.

“As part of the operation, the troops identified terrorists entering a structure adjacent to them. Following the identification, the Israeli Air Force, guided by the ground troops, eliminated the terrorists. Additionally, during these targeted raids, IDF troops located numerous weapons, including rifles, magazines, vests, and the Hezbollah terrorist organization’s flag.”

16:47 – Iranian drones ignite Oil facilities at Oman’s Salalah Port

Oil storage facilities in Oman’s Salalah port were struck by Iranian drones on Wednesday, Reuters reported, citing British ?maritime ?security firm ?Ambrey.

Images confirm at least three fuel tanks were ignited, with heavy smoke plumes visible across the site.

The strike follows reports from earlier this morning that two Iranian drones crashed into the sea north of the Omani commercial port of Duqm, resulting in no casualties.

The development heightens regional tensions as Oman has often served as mediator in negotiations with Iran.

President Donald Trump asserted to Axios that Operation Epic Fury is “going great” and running far ahead of schedule, claiming, “We have done more damage than we thought possible, even in the original six-week period.”

Signaling the conflict could end at his discretion, Trump stated, “Little this and that… Any time I want it to end, it will end,” adding that there is now “practically nothing left to target” within Iran.

Framing the offensive as historical retribution, he affirmed that the regime is “paying for 47 years of death and destruction,” concluding, “This is payback.”

 

15:43 – IRGC claims responsibillity for attacks on vessels along Strait of Hormuz

The Iranian Revolutionary Guards claimed responsibility for attacks on two vessels, Thai-flagged Mayuree Naree and Liberian-flagged Express Rome, in the Strait of Hormuz this morning.

In a tweet hinting at the incident, IRGC Navy Commander Alireza Tangsiri said: “Every vessel intending to pass must obtain permission from Iran.”

In an update on Operation Epic Fury, Admiral Brad Cooper confirmed that U.S. forces have destroyed over 5,500 targets within Iran and 60 vessels, eliminating the entire Soleimani-class of warships.

Cooper characterized the campaign against Iran’s defense industrial base as “unpredictable, dynamic and decisive,” asserting that the U.S. “clearly excercizing air superiority over vast swaths” of the country while Tehran’s combat power declines.

10:39 – Third ship attacked by projectile near Hormuz Straits today

A third ship was attacked near the Hormuz Strait today, said UKMTO, the maritime authority with responsibility for the region.

The tanker reported being hit by an “unknown projectile” around 50 nautical miles northwest of Dubai. The report added that the ship’s crew is safe and that the strike had no environmental impact, according to UKMTO.

Earlier today, a cargo ship caught fire and was evacuated after an attack some 11 nautical miles north of Oman’s Musandam Peninsula, and another cargo ship was attacked off the coast of the UAE.

UKMTO has reported 13 attacks on ships since the start of the war. Earlier reports today suggested the Iranian regime has started to lay mines in the narrow, strategic straits.

10:15 – UAE shoots down two drones near Dubai International Airport

Emirati air defenses intercepted two Iranian drones near Dubai International Airport, usually the busiest airport in the world, according to Dubai authorities.

Four people were wounded in the attack, including an Indian national in moderate condition, and two Ghanaians and one Bangladeshi who suffered lighter injuries.

Flights have resumed, authorities stated.

205 injured people were taken to hospitals for treatment over the past 24 hours, the Health Ministry announced.
