The situation in the West Bank is unsustainable and could explode at any moment.
A shocking video reflects a growing reality: violence is local for now, but tension and despair are widespread and intensifying. Corruption within the Palestinian Authority, widespread youth unemployment, and the theft of foreign aid have left many with nothing to lose. Last night in Bethlehem, a clash between young men escalated into a vehicle being used as a weapon, a stark warning of how volatile the situation has become. It is increasingly clear that the Palestinian Authority has become a burden on everyone, and without a genuine overhaul, the situation will collapse sooner rather than later.
