The Surrender to Hamas Deal Also Empowers China

Peloni:  This deal and Trump’s support for it makes less and less sense…

By

It’s bad for Israel, for America and for the world.

That a deal in which Hamas gets to claim victory, gets to keep Gaza and gets thousands of terrorists in trade for a handful of living or dead hostages is bad for Israel is obvious.

But it’s also terrible for America.

This was a deal put together by the Biden administration and Qatar, which acts as the state sponsors of Hamas, and now claimed by the Trump administration.

But while much of the focus is on the immediate damage, as Hamas terrorists celebrate their victory, few are paying attention to the final phase of the deal in which the United States is in charge of reconstructing Gaza, with Qatar taking point, and the rise of a PLO-Hamas technocratic government. That government was developed under the auspices of China and Russia in meetings in Beijing and Moscow that I reported on.

Witkoff committed the Trump administration to implementing China and Russia’s agenda to destroy Israel and replace it with an Islamic terrorist state controlled by Iran.

It’s obvious why the EU and the Biden administration would think this is a good idea. No idea why anyone in the Trump administration, which hasn’t even staffed up yet, decided to work on pressuring Israel into this.

It’s not just a catastrophe for Israel, it helps reverse Iran’s losses, empowers our enemies in the region, and commits the Trump administration to building a terrorist state in Israel.

Globally it makes it more likely that China will take Taiwan or that, seeing the abandonment of Israel, Taiwan will surrender to China.

I have no path into Trump’s mind. We/you, are acting purely on what’s reported in the news. I adhere to that old adage believe only half what you see and nothing that you hear or read (pharaphrased)

One CONCRETE thing is that Trump has a lifelong admiration and attachment to Jews and Israel.

Even in his personal family he shows this.

He has NO personal control over his myriad staff, he delegates almost every single thing. And so he should NO one man can control or direct EVERYTHING emanating from his office.

We (not ME) spend all our discussion time on Trump in looking critically at every single breath he takes (perhaps trying to smell booze on it)and conversely no time on the good things he does and intends to do.

  2. @Edgar G.

I don’t believe he personally was involved with it [the video]

Well then, why didn’t he disavow it?

You can’t get away from his great partiality to Israel in his first Presidency either.

This “partiality” was a carrot to convince Israel to agree to The Deal of the Century, in other words to the TSFS:

    https://www.middleeasteye.net/news/revealed-trumps-deal-century-map-future-palestine-israel?fbclid=IwAR0FFI_hRI3w-5mtAYLoMhnYqobHJvyogxLIQskUch2LNGJqd1GWAg6y9D8

Then Trump got angry (or pretended to be angry) at the Jews because they didn’t vote for him in sufficient numbers.

In his 2nd term he is going to promote the Abraham Accords, especially normalization with Saudi Arabia as a less direct method to make Israel agree to the TSFS.

Could it be that Israeli politicians (Netanyahu, et al.) were promised that if they sign the hostage deal before his inauguration, then Trump is going to be on Israel’s side in his next presidential term?

It works both ways Trump can either take credit for the hostage deal or, in case it becomes necessary, blame it all on Biden.

    P.S.
    I was right:
Altabef says: “I for one would like to think that Trump knows that Israel helped him to achieve it, and that he will be returning the favor as his term unfolds.“ [from a different article on Israpundit]

  3. Posting again because it is relevant to the discussion:

    https://www.jns.org/before-after/

Trump shared that video to signal his important supporters that he is not subservient to Netanyahu or to the “Jewish lobby”.

Collect 2 sets of photos from the Web – Trump with Netanyahu and Trump with the Arabs (or anyone else he has to please) this will show you whether Trump likes Netanyahu.

How important Israel is to the US:
    https://www.meforum.org/middle-east-quarterly/henry-kissinger-to-iraq-in-1975-we-can-reduce

Why does everyone talk about American presidents as though they are Roman emperors – Titus does this, Caracalla does that?

“Presidents are selected, not elected” FDR – it is all agreed upon beforehand.

Personally, I think that the Government of Israel is in on it – meaning – there is an agreement at the very top to destroy the Jewish State by boiling the frog slowly – by slow deceit.

This is the only way I can understand the RAH-RAH-RAH!!! We will not stop until the enemy is defeated! attitude changing 180 degrees in a couple of days into a shameful and, likely, irreversible defeat.

Let’s see whether Netanyahu will be called to testify again in court.

Nothing which Edgar notes is easily disputed.

What is more, your personal animus towards Trump is so unguarded that your every conclusion going back well before this is not just colored by this outlook but based upon it. In fact, it may turn out that despite the lack of any foundation for Trump doing so or for you to believe that he is doing so, he will completely abandon Israel over the coming months. I don’t have any faith in this being the case, but as may of our authors and bloggers have suggested, time will tell.

The one issue which does stand out in what you say, however, and which you raise without dissecting it further, is the ridiculous video posted by Trump which contains a description of an unhistorical fairytale as described by the vicious antisemite, Sachs. Not only is what is stated in that video inaccurate and completely fanciful, it lacks any consistency with Trump’s own statements regarding America, Israel, the Forever Wars or even the Middle East and Bibi, all of which he has spoken on at significant lengths over the years, all without ever referencing in the slightest degree any agreement with the fable as described by Sachs, but rather a completely contrasting vision which is both well founded in history and facts. Even when Trump was in a state of white hot rage with Bibi, he never made the slightest suggestion coinciding with what is included in that video, and instead has consistently and exclusively warned that America’s Forever Wars were the product of American corruption at the hands of inept leadership. Hence, while it is true that for him to have shared that despicable video remains inexplicable, it remains inexplicable for reasons well apart from any animosity or even relevance to Bibi, Israel or the Gaza war. Yet, all you can draw from this inconsistency is that Trump is anti-Bibi and anti-Israel.

Hence, as I noted above we will see what comes over the next few months, but I anticipate it will be far different than what you currently are expecting, regardless of the obnoxious video posted by Trump. Hopefully, my expectations will prove to be more prophetic than yours.

  5. NO Laura I believe you are wrong. Yes , Property developers, meaning a huge construction Co. Trump worked on construction sites from his youth upwards alongside normal workers; ate with them spent much time with them.

This is the way he was brought up.

I’m a lot older than you and used to read many reports in Newspapers and Time Mag to which we had a subscription.

What I say is genuine, causing his pithy language.

And Fred Trump financed more than one Kibbutz and Moshav, as did Donald who joined with him in donating heavily to Israel causes.

I don’t know why he showed the video, I don’t believe he personally was involved with it. More likely some stooge in his following.

There are multiple reasons which could be the cause.

You can’t get away from his great partiality to Israel in his first Presidency either.

  6. Edgar Trump and his father were real estate developers, not actual construction workers.

Why would Trump post a video of Jefferey Sachs accusing Bibi of trying to pull us into wars in the Middle East? Doesn’t that give you a clue to his true feelings towards Bibi and what our Mideast policy should be?

  7. Laura

It’s either that simple explanation or Trump is a backstabbing sack of shit who’s throwing Israel to the wolves. We better hope that it’s the former. Either way, I warned everyone that Trump was not to be trusted to have Israel’s back. After all, he’s just another self-serving politician with no core principles despite the false imagine of himself as the voice of everyday Americans he’s been marketing for 8 years.

Yes but this is the mistake

Trump is joined by America, Britain and NATO

It’s really the Role of all those to have the poor to fight and die for them

A massive pogrom of Russian Ukrainian poor of Donbass was underway in January and February by Azov of 2022 becoming 2022

Azov was linked to jihad especially to Isis

And it was planned ..! By Biden!

So Biden knew that Russia would invade…

  8. LAURA-

I don’t believe this for a second. Trump is much given to express temporary annoyance in 4 letter words. He was brought up as a working man in construction, don’t forget. It’s a lifelong habit.

As for the rest, you are putting a conspiratorial slant on things which have several different possible outcomes. Trump lashes out VERBALLY hundreds or thousands of times as his thoughts gel. Even when he stubs his toes.

They have been close friends for 30 or more years the PM staying in Trump’s home on many occasions.

They have very much in common, far more than differences.
He’s by far the best President for Israel ever, in fact even since childhood, long before political interests.

No..How could you possibly know Trump’s or indeed ANYONE’S inner thoughts…..even your husband’s or children -if you have them….

    NOOO…….I don’t believe a word of it.

  9. @stevenl: I assume you meant me with your

    You can’t be serious

Do you really think/believe that Hamas will be able to control themselves and reign in the Houthis and PIJ, not to speak of their own? They will make every effort, just like every time in the past, to get in a last kick in the balls if they can get away with it.
    P.S. I apologize for my impolite statement…

  10. By the way, Trump HATES Bibi. There’s been telltale signs of that going back 4 years ago when he was quoted as saying “fuck Bibi” and condemned him for approving “settlements” while praising PA terror leader abbas. His first instinct after October 7 was to trash Bibi as not being helpful when we killed sulemani but walked it back after facing backlash. Recently he posted a video of Jeffrey Sachs accusing Bibi of trying to get America into wars in the Middle East. He may have deleted that after facing some minor backlash, but I’m not sure, I think that tells us in a passive aggressive way how he really feels about Bibi. Maybe he is paving the way for Bibi’s downfall as PM as the ultimate revenge. I don’t know what Bibi has done to him other than making a congratulatory phone call to Biden after the 2020 election. But again, with Trump’s ego that might have been enough to render him an enemy. Like a mob boss, Trump lulled Bibi into a false sense of security that all was well between them and supposedly letting bygones be bygones, inviting him to Mar a Lago. Then when the time was right, sticks the knife in him.

  11. Peloni, it makes sense if you put Trump’s ego into the equation. When it was clear that hamas would not capitulate to Trump after threatening “hell to pay” if the hostages aren’t released before he takes office, the only other option to allow him to save face and avoid looking weak was to force Israel to accept whatever deal was on the table to get the hostages out. Trump’s ego cannot allow himself to be seen on the world stage as appearing impotent. So, the hostages had to be released by the time he took office by any means necessary in order for Trump to save face.

  12. There is one option that everyone has so far ignored: Hamas simply can’t keep their fingers off their triggers. They will very soon provide Israel with the opportunity to bomb them again.
In the meantime, the PLO and Hamas in J&S will be keeping us busy
