The IDF Chief of Staff just decided to give 1 million NIS to a senior IDF official who deserves to be in jail for the rest of her life.

I have been writing about this from the moment it broke.

The former Military Advocate General, Yifat Tomer-Yerushalmi , admitted leaking to the press a video blood libel against IDF soldiers, the Force 100 affair. That leak was not a clerical error, and there is no way that she was alone in having it edited, spliced and leaked to the media. The video was a weapon. It painted Jewish fighters as criminals in the middle of a war for our survival, handed our enemies a propaganda gift, and helped produce United Nations resolutions against Israel at the moment we needed the truth most.

And the soldiers of Force 100? Their lives were destroyed. They were branded as rapists, fired from their jobs, divorced by their wives, and one of them took his own life. The Military Advocate General who did this belongs in prison, and even that would not be enough. Instead, the IDF Chief of Staff let her retire from the army with no punishment and a million-shekel package. This story is rotten at the very top.

And what happened the second this story became public?

Her legal colleagues in the justice system and the Supreme Court moved, not to expose the truth, but to stop a real investigation.

Every serious effort to investigate the leaked video episode, that was edited and proved nothing, has been blocked, delayed, or smothered. That is not how a healthy country protects its soldiers.

The legal system refraining from an investigation and a cushy financial package by the IDF Chief of staff. That is how a closed caste protects itself.

Tomer-Yerushalmi sat exactly where those two systems meet: the top of the defense establishment and the top of the legal system. Two elites that too often act as if they are above the nation they claim to serve. The Orwellian name for them is “gatekeepers.” The reality is a class that lost its way and frequently works against the public interest in order to protect its own.

She sat in a General Staff culture that undermined Netanyahu’s policy, never warned Netanyahu about the signs of a Hamas invasion the hours before, and pushed a hostage deal with Hamas at any price, surrendering to Hamas’s terms.

They systematically briefed against the elected prime minister constantly during the war. They accused him of abandoning hostages, and “killing them”, for political reasons. They worked on two tracks: weaken Israeli public support for continuing the war, and invite international pressure through leaks.

That is the context of the Force 100 blood libel. With high probability, which we will only know for certain if there is a real investigation, the smear was meant to serve that campaign: damage Israel internationally so the Biden administration had a legal reason to stop shipping weapons to Israel, to then force Netanyahu and the war cabinet into a surrender deal and stop the war.

This is also why the war is still going on today.

It is absolutely absurd. The political left, including Gadi Eizenkot running to replace Netanyahu as Prime Minister, was already talking, only months after October 7, about making a deal with Hamas and ending the war.

The whole political left deep state camp spent the entire war trying to stop it before Israel had achieved anything decisive. Their preferred outcome was obvious: Hamas still in power in Gaza, Hezbollah still standing in Lebanon, Israel told to be “responsible,” and Jewish blood treated as a negotiating chip.l, so long as the hostages were saved.

And today those same people blame Netanyahu and this government for not achieving “total victory” in Gaza?

They are complete hypocrites.

You cannot spend two years sabotaging the war from inside the security elite and the legal system, leaking against our own soldiers, pushing international pressure, demanding a deal at any price, and then turn around and accuse Netanyahu and the government of failing to finish the job you tried to prevent.

The public interest in the case with the Military Advocate General is obvious. We owe our soldiers the truth. We owe the Jewish people an accounting of who tried to destroy Israel’s name in the world from the inside. Tomer-Yerushalmi and all those in the military/legal deep state apparatus who took part in this must face the full severity of the law.

But here is why they are so desperate to silence it.

If she is investigated properly and tried properly, she will almost certainly have to reveal what she knows about the subversive conduct of her colleagues in the General Staff and at the top of the legal system. That is why the system is fighting so hard to bury the affair and bury her with it.

This caused tremendous damage to Israel. It smeared our fighters. It fed the global machine that already wants Jews to look like the villains. And it highlights something I have been saying for years: some of the most senior positions in the security and intelligence services and in the legal system have been working overtime against the Jewish nation and the State of Israel, not by accident, but out of their ideology against Netanyahu and the proudly Jewish public he represents, and by covering for the people they want to protect.

Why do you think that is?

Because these deep state elites still believe they are the real government, and the leaders elected by the public are an inconvenience. Because they fear a Jewish public that woke up after October 7 and no longer accepts being lectured by people who leaked against our own soldiers while Hamas was still holding our children.

That is why these elections matter so much.

If the political left and Eizenkot return to power, it will be a disaster. The same worldview that gave land and guns to our jihadi enemy, that wanted a deal with Hamas before the job was done in Gaza, that treated Jewish victory as the danger and “ending the war” as the goal, will be back in charge of our lives.

The more they fight to shut this scandal down, the clearer the public interest becomes: investigate it to the end. Expose it to the end. No more cover-ups. No more blood libels from inside our own deep state institutions.

Our soldiers deserve better.

The nation deserves the truth.

And Israel deserves leaders who want to win, and not cover for each other.

This is also why judicial reform is not a slogan. It is a necessity. A legal system that can smear IDF soldiers, leak a blood libel, and then block every real investigation will never hold itself accountable.

That reform will never happen if Eizenkot or the left win the elections.

As I always say, we are in a wake-up process. Not every Jew/Israeli yet understands the deep state, the power of senior government officials who work against the will of the people, and the role of the mainstream media. Many still lack the political understanding to see how and when we are being manipulated by mainstream media.

But every day the deep state exposes itself. And when it is no longer “deep,” the people of Israel will once again have a real voice in the direction of our miraculous country.

Strengthen your faith. There will still be ups and downs, from external enemies and internal challenges. But we got this. We will overcome in these Geulah/redemption times.
