U.S. Funds Used to Undermine Netanyahu Government

Peloni:  The false flag attempts made by the US against Israel were an intolerable betrayal.  I look forward to seeing what the US Congressional investigations turn up.  The ensuing fallout in both the US and Israel will likely be quite considerable.

U.S. Funds Used to Undermine Netanyahu Government

A new Wall Street Journal report reveals that the Biden administration directed U.S. taxpayer money to Israeli NGOs that were actively involved in protests aimed at toppling Prime Minister Netanyahu.

Examples include:

Itach Ma’aki: $8,000

Photo Israel: $80,000 for “social activism,” which included anti-government protest campaigns

Sikkuy: $1 million between 2022–2024 while participating in political mobilization against the government

This wasn’t neutral support for civil society—it was a targeted effort to influence Israel’s internal politics and weaken a democratically elected government.

If such interference had occurred in reverse, it would rightly provoke outrage. It’s time to ask: Why is U.S. foreign aid being used for regime-change activism in allied democracies?

  1. The old adage of “loose lips sink ships” is still around today. We Israelis are too trusting of our American “friends” and let them in on all our secrets. This then turns into ammunition against us to our detriment. Back in the day, we were all informed thoroughly about security in the field and to be careful and aware of what is said and to whom. Time for a refresher course!!

  2. This was also “State Dep’t” policy under Obama as well. It is all part of covert US foreign policy to empower Iran and undermine Israel, especially when Israel has a strong leader like Netanyahu. They won’t undermine leaders who themselves, undermine Israel, such as Benny Gantz and Yair Lapid. They will go all out to undermine Bibi.

While those of us who read Israeli news and views here at Israpundit, it’s helpful that it is being exposed to the American taxpayer at large.
