US Military Targeting Iran’s Militias in Iraq

JAFAJ

JaFaJ intelligence sources in Iraq has confirmed that two drone strikes were carried out at 20:00 Baghdad time targeting the Al-Saqir police training camp in Al-Dura, Baghdad. Al-Saqir police training camp is regularly used by Al-Hashed Al-Shabi (The Popular Mobilization Committee) Militia and has been serving as Al-Hashed’s the terror academy.

Al-Hashed Al-Shabi is an infamous group that is trained and controlled by the Iranian Revolutionary Guards. For the last three years, Al-Hashed has served as Iran’s terrorist militia and army on the move in Iraq. Initially established to combat ISIS, Al-Hashed has proven to be made up of Shiite radicals who are committing terrorist acts and atrocities throughout Iraq against anyone who opposes Iran, including Al-Hashed’s fellow Shiites.

JaFaJ confirms that tonight’s strikes were carried out by American drones. Both the US and Israel have been jointly, but quietly, targeting Iranian militias, terror groups and interests in Iraq since last January. This began with the aerial strike which claimed the lives of Qassim Soleimani, Iranian major general in the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, and Abu Mahdi Al-Mohandas, who was deputy chief of the Al-Hashed, which took place on 3 January 2020.

While President Trump has been very outspoken about confronting the Iranian threats, the administration has been quieter about its extensive military actions in Iraq to loosen Iran’s grip over the country. Since the US toppled Saddam in 2003, Iran has been controlling the Iraqi Government and Parliament through Iraq’s Shiite majority. During this time, the Iranian regime has been milking Iraq’s budget and resources. In fact, Iraq has been Iran’s cash cow for over 17 years now.

It is very likely surgical strikes against pro-Iran militias will contribute as a part of the well-organized American-Israeli-British effort to disempower Iran and nullifying its areas of strength in Iraq, Syria and Lebanon.
