Bennett is getting ready

PM Netanyahu has his own reasons for positioning Yair Lapid as his main rival, but if we go to an early election, his main challenger could be Naftali Bennett, and Bennett could win.

By Ariel Kahana, ISRAEL HAYOM

“Everything with you is fake news. You know little, about almost nothing,” Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu insulted Opposition leader Yair Lapid in the Knesset on Wednesday. The speech was a low blow from Netanyahu that played into Lapid’s hands. And it didn’t happen randomly; Netanyahu was fingering Lapid as the person most likely to take him on in an election, if there is one.

But an examination of the polls indicates that Lapid won’t necessarily be Netanyahu’s main adversary. There are reasons to think that in the next election, Naftali Bennett will be the one to put up a fight.

Defending ‘New Europe’ from Old Europe’s Woke

In the name of “strengthening democracy” in Central Europe, Joe Biden’s clueless policies would undermine democracy and NATO, too.

by Clark S. Judge, AM GREATNESS

All but ignored on this side of the Atlantic, Hungarian Prime Minister Victor Orbán recently summed up one of the presidential campaign’s most critical and least-discussed issues—U.S. support for the frontline NATO states of Hungary and Poland against political assaults from their allies and ours in the European Union. Our national security is at stake in the outcome.

“American Democrats [and] the American Left, together with the elites of Western Europe,” Mr. Orbán observed, are working to impose their “world vision, choice of values and concepts—including . . . views on families . . . migration . . . work . . . unemployment—on countries that have a different thinking.” He meant Hungary and Poland.

These countries, he continued, have been targets of the European Union’s “liberal [in the radical woke sense] imperialism,” that is, the EU’s hostility to what Americans would call socially conservative and economically populist governments that are, as Americans are, jealous of their sovereignty.

At Least 100,000 Victims of Modern Slavery Just in UK

by Judith Bergman, GATESTONE INSTITUTE  •  August 14, 2020

  • According to the report, despite the scale of the crimes, prosecutions have barely increased…
  • “This is a systemic issue that is borne out of poor regulation, poor legislation and exploitation at every level. You have to ask yourself who actually has the power to change this? And that buck stops with government”. — Adam Clarke, deputy mayor of Leicester, Sky News, July 13, 2020.
  • The protesters of historical slavery could well be wearing clothes produced by the marginalized, victimized modern slaves who have no access to the justice and equality for which the protesters claim to be fighting.
  • It is telling that both public and private resources, as well as endless media coverage, are being dedicated to the issue of “racist statues” and historical slavery, while the plight of living, suffering modern slaves — an issue that needs tremendous effort to be tackled to even some degree — barely interests anyone.

President Trump’s full speech on terrorism in Riyadh in May 2017

This is a great speech. One for the ages.

In the lion’s den, Trump called on Arab leaders to “defeat terrorism and send its wicked ideology into oblivion”.

“That means honestly confronting the crisis of Islamist extremism and the Islamist terror groups it inspires. And it means standing together against the murder of innocent Muslims, the oppression of women, the persecution of Jews, and the slaughter of Christians.”

Not only did he astound the gathered Arab leaders and the whole world with his otherwise quixotic dream and call to action, he succeeded in achieving it.

President Trump delivered a speech Sunday in front of Arab and Muslim leaders at the Arab Islamic American Summit in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, urging the Muslim world to take a stand against global terrorism and share the burden of eradicating extremism in the region.

Trump kills two birds with one stone.

T. Belman. The fact that Trump engineered not only the Arab acceptance of Israel and Jews but also of Christians, makes this Peace Treaty all the more remarkable and historic. The inclusion of Christians is not to be minimized. Historically both Christians and Jews have been discriminated against by Muslims. Trump set out in the spring of 2017 to do the impossible by telling the Arab leaders in Riyadh that they must “defeat terrorism and send its wicked ideology into oblivion”

“Christians have been persecuted by some countries in particular in the Middle East. This [the UAE deal] is a big start, It is going to be a strong start, a very powerful start,” the president said.

Protecting Christians in the Middle East is an important part of the nascent peace deal America has brokered between Israel and the United Arab Emirates, US President Donald Trump told reporters in Washington late Thursday as he clarified that West Bank annexation was off the table right now.

Yariv Levin explains freezing of sovereignty move

T. Belman.  Trump intends to host the signing ceremony for the Peace Treaty on the WH lawn in three weeks.  This will give his election chances a big boost as everyone will support it whereas there were many detractors to extending sovereignty around the world and specifically in Israel and the US.  This will open the floodgates to other Arab countries entering similar peace deals with Israel, many of which will elect to do so prior to the election. They will rush to do so because they will want to give Trump’s reelection bid a push and thus earn Trump’s indebtedness for doing so.

Important steps that Trump has taken for Israel obligated us to accept his position and suspend the application of sovereignty.

The agreement with the United Arab Emirates is a historic political achievement. This is a great victory for our political path and for the path led by Prime Minister Netanyahu.Peace out of power, peace out of a genuine will of both sides, peace that does not depend on arrangements of surrendering to the Palestinians and concessions on parts of the homeland. Why I Am Confident Trump Will Smash the Left and Win

More than ever.

By David Horowitz, FPM

The big news of the day is that Joe Biden has picked a running mate in Kamala Harris, a demagogic woman who called him a racist, and couldn’t win a primary in her own state because Democrat voters didn’t think she was “authentic.” Nonetheless, leftists at MSNBC and other DNC propaganda venues are falling over themselves calling the choice historic and inspiring because of her skin color. The Biden-Harris ticket is now a rallying cry for the hate-Trump-and-white-America left. According to MSNBC’s Joy Ann Reid, the Biden-Harris ticket will be greeted by a massive turnout of black America for the Democrats in November. Traditionally Democrats get over 90% of the black vote.

Think Cancel Culture Doesn’t Exist? My Own ‘Lived Experience’ Says Otherwise

T. Belman. Cancel Culture is the term used to describe the eradication of any contrary views and those who hold them by all means possible.

By Colin Wright, QUILLETTE

Given the moral authority that many progressives assign to the lessons of “lived experience,” it seems counterintuitive that they are the ones now strenuously downplaying the scourge of cancel culture. No less a progressive icon than Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez recently brushed off the phenomenon as just a bunch of entitled people being “challenged” and “held accountable” for their problematic views. New York Times columnist Charles Blow believes cancel culture doesn’t even exist, except to the extent it’s simply a desirable by-product of grass-roots activism:

The Squad Ends Primary Season With a 4-0 Record Against pro-Israel Groups

Champagne corks were popping in pro-Israel circles on Tuesday night following the announcement that Joe Biden had chosen Senator Kamala Harris to be his running mate.

Among the list of finalists who were under consideration by the Biden campaign for the VP role, Harris had the clearest record of support for Israel. Her selection helped guarantee that the 2020 Democratic presidential ticket would be impervious to insinuation from the Trump campaign that Biden’s Israel policy could somehow be hijacked by the more progressive Bernie Sanders-led camp.

After Five years, the Duma Saga Approaches Conclusion

By Victor Rosenthal

On the night of 31 July 2015, someone firebombed two homes in the Palestinian village of Duma, in the northern part of Judea, about 55 km. west of Tel Aviv. One of the buildings was empty, but sleeping in the other were Saed and Riham Dawabshe, and their children Ali (18 months) and Ahmad (5). Ali died in the fire, and the parents succumbed to their injuries a short time later. Ahmad was carried out by his father or grandfather and survived, though he was severely burned.

Almost immediately, government officials, including President Ruben Rivlin, let it be known that the attack was likely “Jewish terrorism” and the culprits would be found among “extremist settlers,” specifically the “hilltop youth,” religious teenagers and young adults who lived independently of their parents in Judea and Samaria, and who wanted to replace the democratic state with one governed by Jewish law. The nation was gripped by a paroxysm of guilt and self-flagellation over the allegation that Jews had done such an awful thing, although there were as yet no suspects. This happened at about the same time a religious fanatic stabbed several people, one fatally, at a gay pride parade in Jerusalem, and left-wing elements connected the events and blamed “settlers,” religious Jews, and PM Netanyahu for the “outbreak of Jewish terrorism.”

Must We Fight Cancel Culture with Cancel Culture?

By J. Robert Smith, AMER THINKER

As of August 2020, we Americans are embroiled in an intensifying cold civil war.  Democrats and the left are the aggressors.  Cancel culture is a chief weapon.  It’s not being employed wholesale — yet — but it is being selectively used as a means of instilling fear in the citizenry.

As morally repugnant as cancel culture is, in war, the question is invariably asked: must we fight fire with fire?  Must we cancel the left and its allies to stop their Jacobin terror?  It’s a legitimate question.

Decent Americans are, naturally, repulsed by the tactic — and, increasingly, personally threatened.  Go crosswise the “progressives” and their leftist allies, and you could be unemployed, your reputation ruined. Read more…

The first three patients treated with a new COVID-19 “passive vaccine” developed by Hadassah Medical Center and the Israeli biopharmaceutical firm Kamada demonstrated a rapid clinical benefit and have already been released from the hospital to their homes, Hadassah Medical Center reported Thursday.

“For three months now, despite the initial opposition of the former director-general of the Health Ministry, Hadassah has been collecting plasma donations from coronavirus patients,” Prof. Zeev Rotstein, the head of Hadassah said.

Are Netanyahu and Gantz postponing sovereignty intentionally in case Trump is not elected?

Is it possible that perhaps Netanyahu and Gantz are deliberately wasting time to wait Trump out and avoiding the application of his plan?

By Ezequiel Doiny, INN

Netanyahu and Gantz

Netanyahu and Gantz

On August 11, 2020 it was reported Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu blamed the United States for his failure to apply sovereignty to ‘West Bank’ settlements. On Channel 20. the Prime Minister said: “It was clear from the start that the application of sovereignty would be done only with agreement from the United States. Otherwise, I would have already done it a while ago.”

On July 14,2020 Arutz 7 reported “Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu’s plan to apply sovereignty over parts of Judea and Samaria has been frozen for the time being, a senior Israeli official said Tuesday morning. Yariv Levin (Likud), the Knesset Speaker and chief of the Israeli delegation negotiating with the White House on the implementation of the sovereignty plan, said in closed talks that talks with the US on the plan were not progressing at this time…”

Beware The ‘Secret Trump Voters;’ They Are Out There, Despite What The Polls Say

T. Belman. What boggles my mind is how any thinking person could vote Democrat given the the fact that their nominee Joe Biden has dementia, that the Democratic Party support lawlessness, defunding the police, unlimited immigration, the green deal, appeasing Iran, disarming the populace, curtailment of free speech and so and so on. How anyone can think they will be better off lead by Biden than Trump beats me.

… And they’ll turn out on Election Day

By Joseph Curl, DAILY WIRE

I noticed something odd the other day driving through my neighborhood in the Virginia hills not far from Washington, D.C. — there wasn’t a Trump sign in sight. Not one. Four years ago, they were all over, everywhere. This time around, zero.

For the record, voters in my county went for President Trump over Hillary Clinton 59.1% to 34.7% in 2016.
