Bibi Outsmarted The Deep State With This New Appointment

Peloni:  It is an incredibly important statement of Bibi’s growing strength and independence to be able to place a confident such as Dermer in this position, offering the elected political class some modicum of the power for which they were elected to wield. While this is only a first step, I agree with Avi that it is a pivotal step.

Israel Blockades Gaza?

By Walter E. Block
The Blockade of Toulon, 1810-14 (By Thomas Luny – collections.rmg.co.uk, Public Domain)

During World War II, England and Germany, in addition to bombing each other, also tried to starve out their enemy into submission via blockades. Why did the Germans use submarines at the beginning and all during this war? To reduce the amount of food and medicines that could be transported from the US to the UK. Why did the British, along with its allied partners, blockade Germany? For the very exact same reason: to bring that nation to its knees in the hope it would surrender. While we are on this topic, we can note that the United States imposed a blockade on Japan before this war even started, which undoubtedly was part of the reason for the hostility that arose between these two countries.

The Gordian Knot Between the Supreme Court and the New Israel Fund (Part 2)

Yossi Baum | X | Feb 25, 2025

Not for the Faint of Heart: The Gordian Knot Between the Supreme Court and the New Israel Fund

The depth of the connection between the Supreme Court and the New Israel Fund and its organizations at times reaches the level of a brothel. Here, I will present ‘samples’ of these connections (this post is a continuation of the post above ?, which is recommended to read first). Here they are:

General:
  • Former Deputy President, Justice Hanan Melcer, served as legal advisor for the Reform Movement, which is supported by (and to some extent controls) the New Israel Fund.

Time For Bibi To Decide

Peloni: Trump’s statement seems to remind me of a quote from Stonewall Jackson from before the outbreak of the American Civil War in which he stated, “The time for war has not yet come, but it will come, and that soon; and when it does come, my advice is to draw the sword and throw away the scabbard.” Yet, we are beyond the point of the outbreak of war, well beyond it, and despite this fact, the sword has been returned to its scabbard at the insistence of the incoming Trump administration. Now we are at the decisive point of Stage Two of the Surrender Deal, and the question remains whether or not Israel should continue to accept the surrender deal which was forced on her by the US, even after the US, itself, has conceded that the deal is untenable and should be undone. Doing so would be an egregious error characteristic of the Old Conception, which is why I am confident that Bibi will choose wisely and return to finish the war which was unfortunately interrupted.  Failing to do so would discredit him in every way possible, and this is not something which Bibi would likely accept, even if he were inclined to do so.

Searching for Condemnations in the Muslim World

Fake quotes from grand muftis condemning Hamas show just the opposite.

Daniel Greenfield | Feb 24, 2025

After Hamas paraded the coffins of 9-month-old Kfir and 4-year-old Ariel to the cheers and jeers of its supporters, before turning over the coffins, locked with keys that did not fit to Israel, people looked for something to restore their faith in the goodness of mankind in the Muslim world.

Millions thought they found it in fake quotes from the grand muftis of Saudi Arabia and the UAE.

Security Recommendations from Four Days Before October 7

Peloni:  It is hard to look back at how removed from reality everything was before October 7, but not as hard as it is to grasp that many are still trying to find a way back to being removed from reality once again.

Is the Dreyfus Affair happening all over again?

Cookie Schwaeber-Issan | All Isreal News | February 25, 2025

Scanné par van Nuytts (original published in 1898)

It was more than 120 years ago when a 35-year-old French artillery officer named Alfred Dreyfus was accused of treason “for communicating French military secrets to the German Embassy in Paris.” Sentenced to life imprisonment on Devil’s Island, he was forced to spend the next five years of his life under intolerable conditions.

Trump Cabinet Supports Israel, Condemns Iran, & Silent on Qatar

Peloni:  Yishai Fleisher details the strong support which was shown for Israel by many of Trump’s key appointees.  It is pivotal to recognize, however, that as Trump’s administration supports Israel and condemns Iran, it remains notably silent on any condemnation of Qatar, a fact which Fleisher does raise in regards to Rubio, but should be understood to be true of the entire administration.  Qatar is far too well considered by people who should have a far greater awareness, criticism and outrage of the role played by Qatar in keeping the hostages in Gaza, and this includes American citizens as well as those of Israel and many other nations.  The slaughter of October 7, and the subsequent murder of the hostages seized that day, which again include that of American citizens, are the work product of the terror subsidizing Qatar.  Hence, rather than including people with views and interests which are sympathetic to Qatar, Trump’s administration should have been staffed with those who would have recognized the corrupting power and influence which Qatar projects around the world and throughout the US, and the considerable danger this influence portends for America and American citizens.  The integration of Qatari supporters into the current administration will come to play a key conflict of interest for Trump’s administration, particularly as Trump is taking steps to fundamentally reshape the Middle East, which should be reshaped without the input and corruption of Qatar.  Qatar is not an asset to the US in this or any context, as it remains a mortal enemy of the US, Israel, and the entire Western world.

The viral lie of how censorship is a ‘vaccine’ to freedom of speech

By Amil Imani | Am Thinker | Feb 26, 2025

Image: Tim Geers, CC BY-SA 2.0, via Flickr, unaltered.

“Freedom of speech is a virus. Censorship is the vaccine.” This chilling mantra, echoed in the corridors of power throughout Europe and the UK, has become the unspoken creed of a globalist left eager to maintain control. It serves as a seductive soundbite for those who fear the chaos of open discourse—a justification for silencing dissent under the guise of protecting the public. But beneath its clinical facade lies a profound betrayal of the principles that shaped the modern world. If freedom of speech falters, it won’t be an isolated casualty; it will drag down every other right with it.

The Arab ‘exodus’ that wasn’t

Did you know that moving a few miles to temporarily get out of the way of gunfire constitutes an “exodus”?

I didn’t either until I read the appalling headline on the front page of The New York Times on Feb. 18: “In West Bank, Israel’s Tactics Cause Exodus.”

Israel Votes Against Ukraine Peace Resolution at UN

Peloni:  Israel, like any other rational society, should cast her vote according to her national interests.  While voting alongside the US, Israel acted with a sense of responsibility and some might even suggest reciprocity, as it is Ukraine which has routinely and repeatedly cast its vote against Israel time and time again, notably alongside Russia with far too great a frequency.  Furthermore, as the US and Europe stand at odds over the topic of Ukraine, Israel should look to her own interests, and those interests are not aligned with the pro-Hamas stand which has been a running feature of much of Europe over the past 18months, and this includes Ukraine, who still calls for the creation of what would be a Pal terror state in the ancestral lands of Israel, despite the example of October 7 for what that might portend.  Relatedly, as Israel has sent no aid or material support to Russia during the Ukraine conflict, Ukraine sent Hamas a ‘humanitarian flour shipment’, even as it this Ukrainian nation remains incapable of funding its own war or even its own govt without the material support of US grants and European loans.  Ukraine is no ally of Israel, and any alliance with Europe should be understood to be far more qualified than what exists between the US and Israel, especially since the return of Trump to the White House.

Aligns with US and Russia in Controversial General Assembly Vote.

Israel voted against a United Nations General Assembly resolution calling for an “advanced, comprehensive, just, and lasting peace in Ukraine,” aligning itself with the United States, Russia, and 15 other nations. The European Union shared the voting breakdown on Monday, revealing that 93 countries supported the resolution, while 18 opposed it.

Before D.O.G.E. there was a nice little industry – mostly middle-aged women looking for recognition or retired guys working in the basement – cleaning voter rolls.

They sat around on Zoom calls complaining no Secretary of State would take their evidence and clean a voter roll.

They accomplished literally zero, from 2020 to 2024 – writing articles and giving interviews about why nobody cleaned the voter rolls they found so polluted.

Arab League invites jihadist Syrian leader to Cairo for Egypt-led summit on Gaza

Under Syria’s former President Bashar al-Assad, Syria was suspended from the Arab League in 2011, but now that the al-Qaeda linked jihadist Abu Mohammad al-Julani (aka Ahmed Hussein al-Sharaa) is president, Syria is now in good graces with the Arab League. Al-Sharaa was put there by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan. The Jerusalem Center for Public Affairs (JCPA) notes:

Notes From Hassan Nasrallah’s Funeral

?By | Feb 24, 2025

Elder of Ziyon has a series of observations on the funeral, with 50,000 participants, of Hassan Nasrallah, the late, and for the civilized world unlamented, leader of Hezbollah. The state of Lebanon was hardly in evidence at the funeral — no Lebanese flags, no mention of the country of Lebanon, no playing of the Lebanese national anthem — but Israel was. The Jewish state reminded everyone of its powerful presence in the IAF planes flying overhead, whose sonic booms could be heard all over Beirut. More of Elder of Ziyon’s notes on the funeral can be found here: “Anecdotes from Nasrallah’s funeral,” Elder of Ziyon, February 23, 2025:

‘Taken Out of Context’

Hamas Backtracks on Senior Official’s Statements Regretting Consequences of 2023 Assault on Israel

FDD | Feb 24, 2025

Latest Developments

  • Hamas Rejects Official’s Statements Lamenting October 7 Consequences: Senior Hamas member Mousa Abu Marzouk seemingly expressed regret for the consequences of the terrorist organization’s October 7, 2023, atrocities in Israel during a February 24 interview with The New York Times. “If it was expected that what happened would happen” in Gaza following the attacks, “there wouldn’t have been October 7,” Marzouk said. Hamas released a statement on Telegram after the publication of Marzouk’s interview saying that the Hamas official’s words were “incorrect” and “taken out of context.” The Iran-backed group reaffirmed its staunch support for the October 7 mass assault, adding that “the blessed October 7 operation is an expression of our people’s right to resistance.”
