Trump, Netanyahu, and Iran

Peloni:  While you are talking, you are not shooting.  Until this situation changes, Iran will keep its nuclear program intact and ongoing.  The Mullahs respond to only one calculus, and it is based on kinetic, not verbal, action

Israel’s Prime Minister Netanyahu left Washington without having an assurance from President Trump that the 17% tariff the President placed on Israeli goods would be removed, even though Israel, the day before, had removed all tariffs on American goods. Lowering that tariff will now be the subject of negotiation. But when it came to Gaza, there was no disagreement, no hint of any American dismay with the way the IDF was conducting the war. That was a great relief for the Israelis, who remember the pressures Israel experience during the Biden administration, which tried to direct the IDF’s conduct of its war.

The Israeli military is proceeding systematically and slowly to consolidate control over southern Gaza. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) sent more units into the territory and is aiming to cut off Rafah. Wisconsin’s Supreme Court Election Screams for Department of Justice Criminal Investigation

In the Wisconsin state election held on April 1, 2025, hard-left Wisconsin Supreme Court candidate Susan Crawford, who was adamantly opposed to Voter IDs, faced off against conservative Brad Schimel. Crawford won (55% to 45%), garnering 237,884 more votes than Schimel out of a total of 2,364,372 votes cast. In the same election, 63% of voters supported an amendment to the Wisconsin state constitution requiring a voter ID. The voter ID amendment carried every one of Wisconsin’s 72 counties except Dane County (where Madison is) and Milwaukee County. The disconnect between the two outcomes is stunning until you look under the hood.

When immigration enforcement took Mahmoud Khalil, a Syrian-Algerian who had been part of a movement that had terrorized Columbia University, attacking Jewish students and faculty, along with employees and law enforcement, while promoting Hamas flyers, ‘Death to America’ stickers and the “total eradication of Western Civilization”, the impassioned leftist outrage poured forth.

Mike Pregent Addresses the Very Real Threat From Qatar & Why It Is Seldom Addressed

Peloni:  Highly recommended video.  Mike Pregent offers insights and perspectives which are rarely addressed in his analysis of the threat emanating from Qatar, and it insidious, systemic and systematic influence over the West and particularly American leaders, not the least of which has included Trump’s man Friday, Mideast Envoy Steve Witkoff.  He also addresses the duplicity of Al Jolani and the threat from Turkey, as well as just touching on the Israeli Qatargate issue.

Netanyahu speaks out…

With every passing day of these sham court proceedings, and as more Israelis wake up to the truth, Netanyahu is finally saying out loud what many of us have known for a long time.

Upon landing in Israel this morning from his whirlwind trip to Hungary, and then last minute invitation to DC, Netanyahu had to go straight to the court room, and boy did he have what to say in the court room today!

IDF to Expel Air Force Reservists Who Opposed Gaza War

Peloni:  A distinction which carries with it the all importance task of de-politizing the ranks.  It is a necessary measure at anytime, but most acutely so amidst an existential war arising on multiple fronts.

Military cracks down on public dissent as tensions mount over war and policy.

Israfan | April 10, 2025

The IDF announced it will expel hundreds of Air Force reservists who signed a public letter calling for an end to the war in Gaza. This decisive action comes under the leadership of current IDF Chief of Staff Lt.-Gen. Eyal Zamir, who has adopted a firmer stance than his predecessors on political dissent within the ranks.

The fight against what Prime Minister Netanyahu has taken to calling Israel’s “deep state” is now in full swing. It reached a climax on Thursday, March 20, late in the evening, when the cabinet unanimously voted to dismiss Ronen Bar, the head of the Shin Bet—the country’s domestic security service. The termination is to take effect on the earlier of two dates: April 10, or when a replacement is found. Bar is not going down without a fight, however, and has retaliated by stepping up an investigation against the prime minister’s staff.

‘Both countries are close friends’: Azerbaijan hosts first high-level meeting to calm Israel-Turkey tensions in Syria

Peloni:  It will be difficult to raise to square the knot between the Muslim Brotherhood power in Turkey which is committed to the destruction of Israel coexisting with Israel.  Trump’s recent remarks declaring Israel needs to be reasonable still echo, it would seem that Turkey is being bolstered into a position of regional dominance with which it should not be trusted.  Notably, Erdogan’s lack of adhering to commitments which contrast with his own designs on power have recently been demonstrated with his illegal arrest of a domestic political rival.  Considering this, are we seriously to believe that this same regime will adhere to any commitment made in Baku?

“Moderate Muslims”, the “handful of extremists” and Shari’a

ANJULI PANDAVAR

“To be clear, Shari’a law is not allowed in Texas, nor are Shari’a cities,” — Greg Abbott, Governor of Texas.

Forceful expression is required to correct the pernicious erosion the English language has been subjected to of late, in an onslaught of linguistic vandalism, all in the service of rendering language a “safe space” in which lies may be dressed up as truth and truth vilified as lies, victims may be presented as perpetrators and perpetrators may masquerade as victims. The impact of this vandalism on the English language is far-reaching.
