Peloni:  As time creeps by, the US midterms draw closer and Trump becomes more dedicated towards leaving Iran to crash on the rocks of the ever tightening US economic war waged against the regime.  The regime’s decided efforts to continue to become ever more desperate to raise the stakes in what some are describing as a game of political chicken.  The economic consequences of the US blockade has left Iran with no customers bold enough to run afoul of US sanctions, and has led to Iran’s main export hub in Kharg Island shutting down its oil processing.  Iran has little fear of any rising from its people as it has demonstrated its willingness to send any number of dissidents to a speedy end, but it must mainain the support of the regime forces and for this it needs some way to pay these forces.  A recent report indicated that it might be saved by its role in BRICs, but the reality is that BRICs association is not capable of actually saving Iran without drawing the wrath of US sanctions war on the relevant nations involved, which again is why Iran currently has no oil sales and is in turn why its oil exports are going nowhere, making the below report of the US strike enforcing its blockade all the more relevant.

Peloni:  The previously agreed upon arrangement was specifically designed such that there would be zero tolerance for Hamas, period.  It was agreed that Hamas would not exist in govt and it would not exist as a managing terror force outside of the govt and that there would be no arms in Gaza which was to be fully demilitarized.  These were the only points in the entire 20 point plan which gained any support for the plan by Israel, and yet, the newly designed Roadmap is specifically designed to rewrite the previous plan so that Hamas does exist, that it does hold power, and so that Gaza is actually not disarmed.  No means no, and no demilitarization and no deradicalization means no agreement from Israel.

Peloni:  Claims of peace should always be understood to be ephemeral.  This is true everywhere, and in the Middle East it should be understood to have even greater relevance, yet, in Israel it should be understood to hold the very highest relevance.  The Abraham Accords (AA) was an interesting to have joined the interests of the Sunni nations with that of Israel by focusing on the strategic effort to deal with the threat from Iran, which faced all of them, by eliminating the primacy of the Pal situation before doing so.  There were issues of trade and economy which added to the merriment of the AA, but the truth is that the root focus of the Accord was in facing Iran.  Like all things, time pulls at the tapestry of such agreement, rendering even the most decisive of political alignments tenuous, as can be seen to be true with the alliance between America and its European allies who baulked at even lending America its mine sweepers at a critical juncture in the recent war.  Keeping this in mind, the AA was never likely to make the Middle East a permanent nirvana, and as we have seen with the actions of AA signatories and those yet to sign, duplicitous backstabbing was easily not eliminated by the AA as Israel was vociferously opposed by those inside and outside the Accords even before October 7, and even after it as well.  So this latest revelation should not be too terribly surprising.  Hence, the phrase suggesting that one must keep their friends close and their enemies closer might be better understood to note that in the Middle East, the concepts of friendship and peace are based upon a nation’s strength and capabilities.  Indeed, there is a reason that Israel is the only nation that Iran has notably not struck since Trump’s porous ceasefire was announced four months ago.  Israel must keep a close vigilence to the strength and capabilities of the relative actors in the region, and note that only so long as the Jewish State can maintain a significant advantage in these over its potential friends and adversaries will any peace be kept or friendship be held in place.
