Peloni:  In fact, the dismemberment and decapitation of the institutionalized terror organization of Hezbollah is likely far more important than the Abraham Accords, and it will in all likelihood result in facilitating a strengthened and expanded the AA.  By itself, Israel is returning Iran to a state of isolation, cutting its regional terror limbs one at a time, and she is doing so against the demands of her many allies.  Much like Operation Opera, when Israel acted against Iraqi nuclear aspirations amid the condemnation of her allies, Israel must continue to act with the strength, resolve and focus of a sovereign nation facing an existential threat.  By doing so, she will not only strengthen and secure the Israeli state, but she will also come to respected by her current and future partners for having done so.

Peloni:  A well earned victory lap for a long overdue victory.  In point of fact, this was a momentous victory for Israel, for the US and for the world, as the crimes against Nasrallah extended far beyond the shores of the  Jewish State.  Yet, even with the vast array of forces at the disposal of the US and its allies around the world, they chose to embrace Nasrallah rather than depose him, to fund him rather than eliminate him.  Instead, it fell to Israel to rid the world of this mendacious war criminal, and to simultaneously eliminate his commanders and to already significantly degrade his organization.  Over forty years, this psychopath came to earn the respect of nations whose butchered citizens went unrespected and unavenged.  In fact, til Bibi ordered the elimination of Nasrallah, there had been no justice for those who went to an early grave to satisfy the bloodlust of Nasrallah and his minions – Jews and Gentiles, Israelis and Lebanese, Americans and French were betrayed by the world which ignored the butchered while it honored the butcher.  Hopefully, the age in which such terrorists as Nasrallah are legitimized by the world, and simultaneously leveraged against Israel by her allies, has come to an end, and in its place we will perhaps enter a new era in which retribution for such barbarity as was Nasrallah’s trade will be expeditiously pursued by all nations whose citizens are affected by it in a timely fashion, and not left for the heroes of Israel to resolve alone, some forty years later.

1. There are multiple fronts in the war but an immediate major change is in the works for Vuhledar. Vuhledar, is a town in Volnovakha Raion, Donetsk Oblast, in eastern Ukraine. It was an important logistical and supply hub for the Ukrainian army. The Russian forces have now effectively surrounded the town and trapped the Ukrainian 72nd Mechanized Brigade inside. The Russians have dropped leaflets telling the Ukrainians they either must surrender or face destruction. The leaflets provide a means for the Ukrainians to contact the Russians to arrange for a surrender and have been promised medical and other necessary assistance. A “large number” of Ukrainians have already surrendered.

During part of their brief remarks (video below) President Trump noted in his estimation there could be a quick resolution to the conflict with Russia, saying, “I have a good relationship with President Putin,” to which Zelenskyy interrupted, “I hope we have more good relation.” In the artful and honest way of a man positioning for peace, President Trump noted, “it takes two to tango.”

The Israeli Air Force carried out massive targeted airstrikes in the Lebanese capital of Beirut on Friday evening, with the military saying it had struck Hezbollah’s main headquarters. An Israeli official confirmed to The Times of Israel that the strikes targeted Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah, who was believed to be at the command center at the time.

“It’s very hard to imagine him coming out alive from a strike like that,” said the official, as multiple Hebrew media reports cited a growing Israeli assessment that Nasrallah was killed in the strike on the underground headquarters.

In response to a lawsuit filed in the New York Federal District Court on June 24 against the U.N. Relief Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) and others for damages suffered by so many as a result of UNRWA employees participating in the Oct. 7 massacre, the U.N. defendants are claiming immunity and moving to dismiss.

If this wholly unjust position were not immoral and absurd enough, the U.S. Department of Justice has reportedly weighed in and shockingly told the court: “Because the U.N. has not waived immunity in this case, its subsidiary, UNRWA, retains full immunity, and the lawsuit against UNRWA should be dismissed due to lack of subject matter jurisdiction.”
