The IAF on December 19 completed its most devastating attack yet on the Houthis in Yemen. Dozens of its aircraft, including fighter jets, spy planes, and refuelers, have just flown 2,000 kilometers to Yemen (and 2,000 kilometers back) to hit key targets. All three of the ports used by the Houthis were put out of commission, as well as two power stations in the capital of Sanaa. Peloni:  A line has been drawn in the sand, and while it remains to be seen if the Reps have the votes to pass this bill, the distinctions between the two proposed legislation could not be mores stark.

New Update:  Nearly three dozen Reps vote with the Dems to prevent the new legislation from passing.

Peloni:  USAID is the financial mechanism thru which international coups are financed and how US influence is wielded in nations which remain susceptible to being corrupted by foreign influence, and of course, Israel is listed to be among the nations which remain susceptible to such influence by this long financial arm of the US State Dept.

So…what is USAID??? ???

When I wrote about this very danger almost two years ago, I was deemed too extreme by some. Perhaps now, after more than a year of war, madness and killing, and an apocalyptic regime with a Doomsday weapon in its hand looming over us all, the warning is not quite so extreme.

Houston Texans linebacker Azeez Al-Shaair has gained a reputation for dirty hits on opposing players. In this season alone, he has been fined for punching a Chicago Bears running back, fined again for flagrantly hitting a Tennessee Titans player out of bounds, and, most notoriously, delivering a vicious blow to the head of Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence. That last violation resulted in both a fine and a three-game suspension, a penalty the NFL rarely imposes.

Vivek Ramaswamy and Elon Musk, President-elect Donald Trump’s picks to create a new Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), sounded the alarm Wednesday over the Republican-led House’s federal funding bill.

House Speaker Mike Johnson released the full text Tuesday of the 1,547-page continuing resolution (CR) that would fund the federal government until March 14, 2025. The incoming Trump administration’s cost-cutting bulldogs took to social media to rally against the bill, urging members of Congress to read its contents like they did before casting their votes.

Peloni:  Carlson’s antisemitic alignment has been growing for some time now.  It was troubling to see him given a position speaking at the Republican Convention, and is still being treated with significant deference and support from key Republicans, even among those going into the new Trump administration.

US media personality Tucker Carlson is currently providing the “leading platform” for Jew-hatred, according to Israel’s minister of diaspora affairs and combating antisemitism, Amichai Chikli.

“Congratulations to Tucker Carlson for becoming the leading platform for fringe Holocaust deniers, conspiracy theorists, and blood libel enthusiasts who oppose the State of Israel,” Chikli posted on social media on Tuesday.

Chikli’s comment came one day after Carlson, a right-wing commentator and former Fox News host, hosted economist Jeffrey Sachs for a lengthy interview in which both men gave credence to the antisemitic idea that Israel “controls” US foreign policy, among other controversial comments.

According to Michael Mandelbaum, professor emeritus at the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies, if “the Islamic Republic should acquire nuclear weapons, as it is actively seeking to do, its capacity to harm America’s friends and American interests would expand dramatically. The most important task for American Middle East policy is…to prevent that from happening. This is especially the case insofar as the American government actively discouraged Israel from hitting Iran’s nuclear installations.”
