The Occupation Solution

By Gamaliel Isaac, AM THINKER

On October 25, 2023, U.N. secretary general António Guterres said at a U.N. Security Council meeting on the Israel-Hamas war that he condemns unequivocally the horrifying and unprecedented 7 October acts of terror by Hamas in Israel.  He continued:

Nothing can justify the deliberate killing, injuring and kidnapping of civilians — or the launching of rockets against civilian targets.

He then justified the attacks:

It is important to also recognize the attacks by Hamas did not happen in a vacuum.  The Palestinian people have been subjected to 56 years of suffocating occupation. They have seen their land steadily devoured by settlements and plagued by violence; their economy stifled; their people displaced and their homes demolished. Their hopes for a political solution to their plight have been vanishing.

Top Biden aide: US concerned about civilian casualties in fight for Shifa Hospital

T. Belman. At first , Biden supported our right of self-defense so long asw we followed the Rules of War. (As though he had to remind us). But then he insisted on “humanitain corridors” and then on “pauses”. But now he is upping the ante again ny saying  “The United States does not want to see firefights in hospitals where innocent people, patients receiving medical care, are caught in the crossfire.” Surely the R of W are enough restrictions. But no, he keeps adding to them . No mention  is ever made of avoiding IDF causualties.

Why is Biden tying our hands thus? No such restrictions were put on Zelensky.

As IDF advances in Gaza, Jake Sullivan says ‘we don’t want to see firefights in hospitals,’ accuses Hamas of acting ‘in way that’s outside the bounds of any civilized concept’

UK PM Sunak fires Home Secretary Suella Braverman, who called pro-Palestinian protests ‘hate marches’

Braverman stirred controversy in Britain when she criticized pro-Palestinian protests, and accused the police of adopting ‘double standards’ in its treatment of them

YnetReuters|

British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak fired Home Secretary Suella Braverman on Monday, a government source said, as part of a wider reshuffle after she criticized the police’s handling of a pro-Palestinian march.

Reports of the dismissal come after Braverman has in recent weeks aligned herself alongside Israel. In an article published last week in The Times, she claimed that the pro-Palestinian demonstrations in Britain since the outbreak of the war had turned into “hate marches.” She also accused police of being too soft on left-wing protesters compared to right-wing protesters. Braverman’s critics said the article she wrote increased tensions and encouraged right-wing activists to take to the streets and confront pro-Palestinian protesters. They called on Sunak to remove the senior minister from her post.

The Gates of Gaza

By Daniel Greenfield, 12 Nov 03:42 AM

In 1954, on the Jewish holiday of Purim, a bus carrying passengers from the Red Sea beach town of Eilat entered Scorpions Pass.

A decade before there was any ‘Palestinian’ cause, Muslim terrorists ambushed the bus. Ephraim Fuerstenberg, the driver, was shot dead, and his wife Hannah was taken out and raped and murdered. Men had thrown themselves in their dying moments on his two children to hide them. But his 9-year-old boy, Haim, raised his head to call for his sister, the Jihadist lifted up the body on top of him and shot him in the head, he would lie in a coma for 32 years before finally passing away. His sister Miri, who wrote the story in her book, ‘The Girl From Scorpions Pass’, survived only by hiding under the man who had thrown his body on top of hers to save her life.

The Day the Delusions Died

A lot of people woke up on October 7 as progressives and went to bed that night feeling like conservatives. What changed?

By Konstantin Kisin October 22, 2023

When Hamas terrorists crossed over the border with Israel and murdered 1,400 innocent people, they destroyed families and entire communities. They also shattered long-held delusions in the West.

A friend of mine joked that she woke up on October 7 as a liberal and went to bed that evening as a 65-year-old conservative. But it wasn’t really a joke and she wasn’t the only one. What changed?

The best way to answer that question is with the help of Thomas Sowell, one of the most brilliant public intellectuals alive today. In 1987, Sowell published A Conflict of VisionsIn this now-classic, he offers a simple and powerful explanation of why people disagree about politics. We disagree about politics, Sowell argues, because we disagree about human nature. We see the world through one of two competing visions, each of which tells a radically different story about human nature.

He is the founder of IDSF whci consists of 16,000 reserve officers and operatives from all branches of the Israeli security forces dedicated to guiding the narrative of Israel’s national security needs and ensuring that Israel’s security in the homeland of the Jewish people is never taken for granted. Martin Sherman is part of their think tank. He and Martin both support the removal of the Gazans and the annexation of Gaza. He also said that this war could easily take another year. Netanyahu, Gallant, Gantz discuss “post Hamas era” in joint press conference

T. Belman. Israel is committed to destoying Hamas. That much is certain. Biden is on board for this, so far. But he is forcing Israel to take more casualties to reduce the Gazan casualties.

At the same time, Israel has pledged that she will not annex Gaza or any part of it. This is not good enough for many Israelis. They believe Israel has the right to reclaim Gaza, that the Palestinians must lose land to know they have lost. The Rules of War provide that in a defensive war, the country that has been attacked has the right to acquire land from the aggressor. Unfortuneately, Biden is opposed to any annexation.

Don’t you dare!

By  David M. Weinberg, IH     11-12-2023 14:46

Pressures on Israel from Washington and other Western capitals are mounting to curtail the campaign to destroy Hamas, because of the humanitarian toll in Gaza.

Israeli government leaders must resist these pressures with all their might. They must persist in pounding Hamas-ISIS to smithereens until every last Hamas commander is dead, every last Hamas terror attack tunnel is destroyed, and every last Hamas missile bunker is obliterated.

NATO Calls on Ukraine to SURRENDER!

TURLEY TALKS

As Zelensky goes into full dictator mode, indefinitely suspending all elections, NBC News is reporting that US and European officials are calling on Zelensky to end the war and negotiate a peace, which is going to require him to give up 20% of Ukraine that has now been officially annexed into Russia.

– Ukraine’s counteroffensive in the spring ended in disaster, with Russian forces annexing Ukrainian territory.

– Zelensky, concerned about losing financial support, has suspended elections in Ukraine and is promising to pay the money back after a “victory” over Russia.

The Real Debate Over Israel Is Taking Place Behind Closed Doors

T. Belman. This article is the opposite of what I thought it was. It highlights the opposition to Biden’s “decision to aggressively back Israel’s war against Hamas.” While Israel complains Biden is screwing us, many in the US administration are complining he is doing too much for Israel.

It’s a much better discussion than the one taking place in public.

By MICHAEL SCHAFFER, POLITICO

Consider the fallout from my colleague Nahal Toosi’s report this week about State Department staffers signing a formal dissent cable. The political reaction was a pretty good Rorschach test of America’s ideological divide.

Israel isn’t seeking to displace Gazans or rule enclave, Netanyahu reassures US

T. Belman. I’ve had it with Bibi. Are we really so weak that we have to take orders from Biden?

With these goals, invading Gaza was a mistake.  What’s the point?  To put the Gazans in power sans Hamas. We should just be bombing the shit out of the place.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu publicly stated for the first time in the war against Hamas that Israel does not seek to displace Palestinians from the Gaza Strip, after a growing number of regional leaders expressed fears that this was Jerusalem’s ulterior motive.

“We don’t seek to displace anyone,” Netanyahu told Fox News in an interview on Thursday night.

It Is Time Biden Publicly Acknowledged This Is Iran’s Mullahs’ War Against Israel and the United States

by Majid Rafizadeh, GATESTONE  •  November 11, 2023 at 5:00 am

  • Sadly, the Biden administration has yet to come out and publicly acknowledge Iran’s role in Hamas’s October 7 invasion of Israel, in which the terrorist group murdered over 1,400 Israelis and at least 31 Americans, and wounded over 4,500 Israelis. Hamas also abducted more than 240 people and took them back to Gaza, where they are being held as hostages.
  • Iran provides roughly $100 million a year to Palestinian terrorist organizations such as Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad, and $700 million a year to Hezbollah.

INTO THE FRAY: Gaza-A gigantic shift in the Overton Window

The Overton window is an approach to identifying the ideas that define the spectrum of acceptability of governmental policies. It says politicians can act only within the acceptable range. Shifting the Overton window involves proponents of policies outside the window persuading the public to expand the window.

By MARTIN SHERMAN

What once was unthinkable is now moving to the center of mainstream thought

Consideration should be given even to the heroic remedy of transfer of populations…the hardship of moving is great, but it is [still] less than the constant suffering of minorities and the constant recurrence of war.” Former US President Herbert Hoover–“Great Humanitarian”, in The Problems of Lasting Peace

The abandonment of the Gaza belt settlements has shown unequivocally that there will eventually be either Jews in the Negev or Arabs in Gaza – but not both. That is the brutal choice facing Israel’s decision-makers – the true “day-after” dilemma—The War in Gaza, Jerusalem Post, Nov. 11, 2014.

Israel isn’t struggling in Gaza. It’s winning a rapid victory

Analysts predicted that Hamas would inflict terrible casualties on the IDF. They were wrong

By

The Israel Defence Forces have been attacking Hamas in Gaza from land, sea and air for two weeks now, following a three-week air campaign. Before ground operations began, US military advisers urged the Israelis not to launch a large-scale campaign, which they believed would result in an IDF bloodbath – and be less effective than a combination of air strikes and special forces raids. The IDF rejected that advice, and moved into Gaza with a large combined arms force. And it has confounded its critics.
