The observers at the Gaza border work day and night to guard the southern border, and in the last two days they have been going through a difficult time following the attack by Hamas on Israel. One of them, who was on duty yesterday, reveals the difficult hours in which she had to deal with the uncertainty, friends who were hurt and yet the need to function in one of the most important positions in the sector.

A ruthless response is absolutely legitimate
I can only add my voice of responsibility to confer legitimacy to as ruthless a military response as Israel can muster. Op-ed.
[…]
This list already is too much, but my point is that I am not a tummler but speak with authority, responsibility, and am recognized as an expert in legal ethics, winner of the American Jurisprudence Award in Legal Ethics.
[…]
Therefore I submit my voice, as the Holy Season of Judaism has come to a conclusion in Exile, to validate ethically as ruthless a military response as Israel can muster:
1. It is imperative, if Israel is capable of doing so, that it exterminate Hamas. Again: exterminate. Leave nothing behind of Hamas.

Bennett: This is 100x worse than Yom Kippur War. We’re facing equivalent of Nazis
Former prime minister Naftali Bennett calls the current conflict “the harshest event since the War of Independence.”
Speaking to Channel 12 news from southern Israel, Bennett elaborates: “This is not the Yom Kippur War — it is Yom Kippur multiplied by 100, because here we are talking about murder, the systematic slaughter of babies, girls, boys, things that are hard to bear.”
“We set up a Jewish state in this land in order to defend ourselves, and now the time has come to fight back,” he says.
“We have to lift up our heads… we are heroic people,” Bennett adds, citing acts of heroism by residents of Kfar Aza, Nahal Oz, Netiv Ha’Asara and other communities where “heroes confronted the terrorists,” killed some of them, and in some cases were killed. “We are a people of lions,” he says.
Ynet photographer missing, feared kidnapped along with 3-year-old daughter

“We’re waiting for any fragment of information about them,” the sister, Dafna, says in an interview in Ynet, where her missing brother, Roee Idan, works as a photographer.
Neighbors of Roee Idan and his late wife, Smadar, told the family that the child, Avigail, was seen after the incident with blood on her clothes. The blood came from a gunshot wound her father sustained, Dafna says.
The Biden Regime Should Admit the Real Causes of the Jihad Against Israel
Twenty-two years after 9/11, the jihadis’ best friends are in the White House.

When Hamas launched its latest jihad war against Israel, the Biden regime’s initial response was mind-numbingly predictable. At 2:58AM on Saturday, the U.S. Office of Palestinian Affairs tweeted in Arabic: “The US Embassy is closely monitoring the security situation as a result of rockets being fired from Gaza through southern and central Israel, including Tel Aviv and Jerusalem, and the infiltration of Hamas activists.” Yeah, “activists” with balaclavas and rifles, committing murder wherever they had the chance.
As if that weren’t bad enough, the same Office followed up at 3:24AM with an even more jaw-droppingly tone-deaf and wrongheaded statement: “We unequivocally condemn the attack of Hamas terrorists and the loss of life that has incurred.” Of course, the low-level Biden regime foreign service wonks who knocked together this boilerplate said nothing about bankrolling the attacks and making them possible. The wonks continued: “We urge all sides to refrain from violence and retaliatory attacks. Terror and violence solve nothing.”
Netanyahu: “What Hamas will go through will be difficult and terrible”
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu spoke today (Monday) for the first time since the outbreak of war with the heads of authorities in the southern region and told them that the state will do everything possible to help everyone.
“We are in the middle of the campaign,” Netanyahu said. “I know they have been through terrible and difficult things. “What Hamas will go through will be difficult and terrible.”
He also said: “We are already in the campaign and we have just started it. Your leadership is very strong in these difficult days. “It will take time and will require a strong stance in the difficult days ahead.”
Update on War
The govt is reporting that there have now been 2600 wounded since the war broke out. Also, unconfirmed reports in the Hebrew media indicate that the death toll has risen to 800, and the Qatari reports of negotiating a prisoner exchange has been dispelled by Israeli sources. The Gaza border is being reported as being closed, but the enclaves in the surrounding areas are not yet secure. It had been hoped that the border area would be secured yesterday, but it has been a difficult and costly affair with reports of significant casualties taking place in Sderot which was incorrectly reported to be a hostage situation, but was later corrected to be an intense fire fight with the terrorists.
Gallant has orderd a complete siege of Gaza, “There will be no electricity, no food, no gas – everything is closed”. Meanwhile the IDF has continued its air assault on Hamas targets in Gaza. There has not yet been a statement related to a land assault on Gaza, though Gen. Avivi, who previously served as Deputy Division Commander of the Gaza Brigade, has noted that it Bibi has little choice but to do so.
Blinken Joins Hamas Ally in Calling for ‘Ceasefire’
T. Belman. Biden should be asking what Israel wants to do rather than ignoring what she wants and once again imposing the US on Israel
Despicable even for this administration.
It didn’t take long.
On October 8th, Secretary of State Blinken tweeted that, “Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan and I spoke further on Hamas’ terrorist attacks on Israel. I encouraged Türkiye’s advocacy for a cease-fire and the release of all hostages held by Hamas immediately.”

Iran Helped Plot Attack on Israel Over Several Weeks
The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps gave the final go-ahead last Monday in Beirut

DUBAI—Iranian security officials helped plan Hamas’s Saturday surprise attack on Israel and gave the green light for the assault at a meeting in Beirut last Monday, according to senior members of Hamas and Hezbollah, another Iran-backed militant group.
Officers of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps had worked with Hamas since August to devise the air, land and sea incursions—the most significant breach of Israel’s borders since the 1973 Yom Kippur War—those people said.
Details of the operation were refined during several meetings in Beirut attended by IRGC officers and representatives of four Iran-backed militant groups, including Hamas, which holds power in Gaza, and Hezbollah, a Shiite militant group and political faction in Lebanon, they said.

Israel’s stark option: Arabs in Gaza or Jews in the Negev?
If back in 2005, on the eve of the “disengagement,” some far-sighted individual had predicted that reality would be as it is today, his caveats would have been disdainfully dismissed as unfounded scare-mongering.
