The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced on September 3 that its 36th Division had cleared Hezbollah personnel from two underground routes beneath south Lebanon’s Ali al Taher Ridge, the site of a strategic underground installation built by the group, and achieved “operational control” above and below ground. The reported takeover occurred despite a lull in the fighting between Israel and Hezbollah that has been in effect since June 19.

In this video, Avi Abelow details the truth that the Qusra story is not a tale of “settler violence,” but is instead the consequence of inadequate Israeli deterrence, a decades-long land struggle, the weaponizing of US citizenship to influence US/Israeli policy, and a standing threat posed by the Palestinian Authority’s armed forces.
Peloni: Naturally, Israel’s Arab neighbors are objecting to their cousins in Gaza being offered the means by which to leave Gaza, for when the Trump vision of the Gazans being allowed to go is finally realized, there would be far fewer Jihadis in Gaza able to slaughter their Jewish neighbors. This is why these neighboring Arab countries will not take the Gazans at any price. Note that both Ben-Gvir and Katz were careful to characterize their efforts as being in support of fascilitated voluntary emigration, but the Arabs would prefer to distract from this point that the Gazans would be allowed to go anywhere beyond the city limits of an active war zone, demonstrating the lack of sincerity that they have for peace or even for the Gazans themselves.
What would be interesting to hear from Trump and Huckabee on this topic is why the US is itself withholding support for those nations which would otherwise accept the Gazans.

Completely contradictory reports are surfacing about the plans that Israel’s National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir and Defence Minister Israel Katz have announced. Both are discussing plans to remove Palestinians from Gaza. In response, “Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Jordan, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Pakistan, Indonesia and Turkey said they condemned in ‘the strongest terms’ the “plans and mechanisms they proposed aimed at forcibly expelling Palestinians from their land.”
Once again, Britain’s political leaders have completely lost their moral compass when it comes to Jews and Israel.

British government plans to boycott Jewish communities in Judea and Samaria (aka the ‘West Bank’) must be condemned. The U.K. policy echoes some of the darkest periods of recent Jewish history, and the British action must be called out as hateful and dangerous. Once again, Britain’s political leaders have completely lost their moral compass when it comes to Jews and Israel.

When American and Iranian negotiators finally sat down in the same room in Islamabad in April 2026, the choice of venue surprised almost everyone outside the region. Pakistan is not a traditional Middle East power broker. It has no seat at the Gulf Cooperation Council, no historic role in Arab-Israeli diplomacy, and a domestic political system so dominated by its military that most Western chancelleries treat it as an afterthought.
See the discussion of the final lists at the bottom. This current election is gearing up to be his most difficult challenge yet. With the High Court having effectively driven a split between the haredim parties and Netanyahu, along with Winter insisting he will not sit with the haredim who have not served in the IDF, it will be a difficult task for the PM to pull out another victory in the coming election cycle. This likewise also spells for a difficult election of the national camp. Nonetheless, as Gil Hoffman explains, you can never count Netanyahu out. So we will see.

Jared Kushner says Israelis are being “a little irrational” about Gaza.
But then he admits:
The IDF on Sunday launched “Breaking Dawn 2.0,” a surprise drill designed to test the military’s ability to respond to an unexpected, large-scale, multi-front attack amid growing concerns about potential Iranian-backed aggression against Israel.
The exercise came a day after media reports emerged of plans allegedly uncovered by Israeli intelligence for an Iranian-led attack on Israel from several directions simultaneously, coordinated with the remnants of Hamas, Hezbollah, the Houthis in Yemen and IRGC-backed Shi’ite militias in Iraq.
Peloni: Kushner previously suggested a timeline which would have Hamas disarmed within a month and yet nearly a month has passed and not a single gun has been collected. Proof lies in the proving and Kushner once again has failed to do more than offer failed promises in place of concrete actions, while distracting the public with descriptions of Israelis as being a little irrational, which risks undervaluing the work of those in Israel who are trying to help Gazans who want to leave.
Rather than promising disarmament that will never materialized, Kushner’s negotiating efforts might be better directed towards helping Gazans who want to relocate to actually do so. Indeed if the goal is to find a better future for the Gazans it would warrant US support to help move them outside of a city-wide war zone. Hence, it is worth asking why U.S. support for the movement of Gazans has been intentionally withheld. International law treats forced displacement as a war crime, but it is equally worth considering whether forcibly keeping people inside a war zone—where they are exploited by a recognized terror group as human shields—deserves the same scrutiny.
A constructive path forward would see US backing for Ben Gvir‘s proposal for voluntary emigration from Gaza, incorporating Avi Abelow‘s suggestion of shortening the timeline from seven years to as quickly as logistically possible, while also leaving Israel free to fulfill the terms of the 20-Point Plan and eliminate the still armed Hamas.

If the Democratic Party does not remove the growing shame of the rise of Islamists within it, it will become a victim of it. And so will we all.
The US president does not want to “repeat the experiment” of another military campaign and would rather pressure Tehran through sanctions and an economic blockade. But Iran could conclude that escalation is preferable to surrender or economic collapse.
