Peloni:  This is an important and insightful analysis by Khaled Hassan.  Israel should ignore the elusive pursuit of peace, which if sincere would include the recognition of Israel as described in international law and documented in the San Remo Declaration.  Instead, the Arabs will continue to trade hudnas and hints of hudnas in place of sincere treaties of peace.  The Abraham Accords are instead being manipulated to now offer a Sunni dictators a presumptive vote in Israeli politics. As Saudi control over Washington has waned in recent years, MBS is now looking for a new method by which to return the diplomatic capital it once had prior to America becoming energy independent.  So, this adept game of peace charades is being used to leverage America against Israel, and Israel’s electorate against its own govt, thus seeing both America and Israel surrender their own interests and returning Riyadh to a position of import rather than the isolation which they are better deserving for their actions.

The best way to find peace is thru victory in war.  If peace is possible, it will come of its own accord, and chasing it only makes it all the less possible, as is seen with the dubious antics being adopted by the Saudi Prince.

An interesting revelation comes hours after Trump’s Energy Secretary, Chris Wright, formally signs the agreement with Saudi Arabia supporting their development of a ‘civilian’ nuclear program.  Amid claims by Sec. State Marco Rubio that the program will not lead to a military application with a nuclear bomb spin-off, Trump announced on Thursday via Trump Social (see below) that deal is now contingent upon Saudi joining of the Abraham Accords.

On 20 July 2026, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) reportedly issued a public statement thanking unnamed “Jordanians” whom it claimed provided intelligence that directly assisted Iranian attacks against U.S. military targets in Jordan. On 21 July 2026, Iraqi television channel Al-Ghadeer broadcast an interview with former Iraqi Army spokesman Lt. Gen. Abdul Karim Khalaf, who alleged that Jordanian military officers leaked military information to Iran. Khalaf claimed that the leaked intelligence contributed to attacks resulting in the deaths of U.S. service members and damage to U.S. military facilities in Jordan.

Peloni:  It is a disturbing observation to note that Trump having suggested the possibility of talking with Hezbollah.  Doing so would only serve to raise their political standing while ignoring literally thousands of American deaths on their hands, as well as their role in the subsidizing and coordinating with the ongoing drug trade which Trump has been facing down in America.  While it is stated that ‘conventional’ approaches have thus far failed, it should be noted that the only approaches to deal with Hezbollah have been thru negotiations based on promises of disarmament used to force Israel back across an undefensible border which ultimately led to the continued slaughter of Israelis in the North.  What would be an unconventional step would be to support an Israeli buffer zone til such time as already agreed upon stipulations made by Lebanon, including by Pres. Aoun himself, of disarming Hezbollah was enacted.  Of course, Aoun wants Israel out of Lebanon first, but that is the very mechanism on which the past ‘conventional’ approaches were based and failed.  Time for a new approach, and talking with terrorists won’t solve the crisis.  It will only serve to distract from the fact that the old approaches of forcing Israeli concessions is also the basis of the new approach.  Thus far Aoun has disarmed not a single Hezbollah soldier and Israel is being forced into a ‘pilot’ test program.  Forcing Lebanon to act would be a new approach, but it seems thus far that is not the path being pursued, which is why it will almost certainly fail.
