Israel’s American ‘frenemy’

T. Belman.  Melanie said what most are afraid to say. Good for her. She also accuses Netanyahu of succumbing to American pressure. Netanyahu continues to call Biden a friend of Israel.

If Netanyahu won’t alert Americans to their government’s abandonment of Israel, U.S. politicians must step up to the plate.

By Melanie Phillips

(JNS) As everyone can clearly see, Israel is having to fight to defend itself on several fronts simultaneously.

It faces attack from Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) in Gaza; an escalating Islamist uprising in the disputed territories of Judea and Samaria; some 150,000 Hezbollah missiles capable of hitting the entire country from Lebanon; relentless attempts by Iran to create a similar war machine to attack Israel from its Syrian border; and the threat of a nuclearized Iranian regime that threatens to wipe Israel off the map.

America Wakes Up to Woke

Americans are rejecting wokeism because they finally are realizing that if they do not, they will not have a civilization left.

By  21.6.23

Wokeness was envisioned as a new reboot of the coalition of the oppressed.

Those purportedly victimized by traditional America would find “intersectional” solidarity in their victimhood owing to the supposed sexism, racism, homophobia, transphobia, and other alleged American sins, past and present.

Desantis is a true friend of Israel. So is Trump

T. Belman. I disagree with both Desantis and Netanyahu who say the lands are disputed. The Jews have the only claim to the land as confirmed by the San Remo resolution and the Palestine Mandate. The Arabs dispute this but they have no leg to stand on. In reality, their claims are baseless and should be ignored.

The presidential candidate spoke to an Israeli newspaper about the Biden admin.’s attitude to PM Netanyahu and the Iran threat.

Florida Governor and 2024 Republican presidential candidate Ron DeSantis spoke with the Israel Hayom newspaper and criticized President Joe Biden for not inviting Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to the White House.

“This is disgraceful,” DeSantis told Ariel Kahana, referring to the fact that the current US President has yet to invite Netanyahu since the latter took office over seven months ago. “The relationship should be cast as iron. We have no better ally in the Middle East, and we have cultural and religious ties with the State of Israel.

CAIR’s Antisemitism Unmasked

By Steve Emerson, IPT

From the Foreword to “CAIR’s Antisemitism Unmasked”:

Since its corporate inception in 1994, CAIR has been the number one promoter of incendiary vile antisemitic tropes and conspiracies in the U.S. by any “mainstream” Islamist group. I use the word mainstream in quotations because CAIR has successfully duped virtually the entire media establishment—many of whom have willingly collaborated—into portraying this Hamas front group as a “Muslim civil rights organization.” CAIR is soaked with antisemitism, yet we hear NOT a word about this reality from the gatekeepers.

Saudi Arabia – The ambition versus the reality of Vision 2030

T. Belman. Saudi Arabia: Woman Sentenced to 34 Years for Tweets

CONTROL RISKS

After a year marked by a massive oil windfall and major project announcements, the progress of Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman (MbS)’s flagship development plan, Vision 2030, can be seen in the data and on the ground. Our analysts look at how Vision 2030 is – and is not – changing life and business in Saudi Arabia.

If you can’t provide security – let others take the helm

Netanyahu, you ran on a ticket of restoring security and you won a sixth term. If the government can’t do what you promised – let better qualified people take charge.

By  Ariel Kahana, ISRAEL HAYOM 06-21-2023 15:52<

We don’t want any more promises of “hunting down the killers”; we are sick and tired of such statements. We don’t need any lecturing on “the bloody toll that comes with living on this land.” We know this because we live this reality day in and day out.

Please spare us the thoughts and prayers you express over the hardships of the “hero settlers.” Such comments can’t bring people back from the dead. You can also spare us the exposes and the reenactments and the snuff videos. We have had enough of all this, which contributes nothing. What’s worse – it can’t stop the next terrorist attack from happening. What we need is action; immediate, forceful, and targeted measures. Yes, I am talking about military action, not just ridiculous regional talks in Aqaba or for-show summits in Sharm al-Sheikh.

Trump is Winning Again

Here’s what real Americans think of Biden’s desperate indictment of Trump.

by 22.6.23

I told you so.

I’ve spent two and a half years now reporting Democrats get away with murder, while Republicans face life in prison for jaywalking. Does anyone disagree now, after former President Donald Trump’s indictment?

I spent last week on my TV and radio shows, and in my syndicated newspaper column, reporting that Trump would go UP in the polls after his latest criminal indictment.

Georgia won’t update Dominion voting machines before 2024, despite cybersecurity expert warnings

The Georgia secretary of state’s office is relying on a report commissioned by Dominion regarding the company’s voting machines.

By Natalia Mittelstadt, JUST THE NEWS June 21, 2023

Georgia is delaying a software update for its Dominion voting machines until after the 2024 presidential election, despite cybersecurity experts warning of  vulnerabilities.

A nearly 2-year-old report was finally made public last week and showed Dominion voting machines had significant vulnerabilities, which led the Department of Homeland Security’s Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) to issue a public advisory last year based on the findings. A computer analysis shows where Republican politicians’ real loyalties lie

By Andrea Widburg, AM THINKER

A point I often make is that Donald Trump’s travails were not because of Democrats. Instead, they were because of Republicans. Had the Republicans supported him, the past seven years would have been very different. And if you doubt that Republicans are a problem, just check out how the Republicans in North Dakota’s legislature vote.

Ending terror against Israelis now!

T. Belman. Mike recommends annexation but no national voting rights to the Palestinians living in the territories to be annexed. He obviously is unperturbed by the prospect of reducing the Jewish majority in Israel. What he recommends is little different from Caroline Glick’s One State Plan. Glick ‘s plan provided a path to citizenship and voting rights. Mike doesn’t say so but he knows that ultimately they will be given voting rights.

Mike is a friend of mine and knows the Jordan Option in detail. In fact he attended the 2017 conference. He disappoints me in not backing  compensated emigration as first proposed by Martin Sherman, then by Moshe Feiglin and by me. He obviously thinks its a non-starter. Yoram Ettinger agrees with Mike, notwithstanding my many meetings with them. Mikes’s plan seems to agree with “Allow Palestinian Arabs to obtain Israeli residency status and dismantle the PA” which also ignores compensated emigration as a necessary part of the solution.;

The ‘occupation’ is a bad thing, all agree. Since it is suicide to allow a PA state, the only option is sovereignty and annexation.

Terrorism in Israel is encouraged and motivated by the belief that terrorism will force Israel to seek a two-state solution – the creation of a Palestinian Arab state on what they call the ‘West Bank’ of the former Hashemite Kingdom of Transjordan (Judea and Samaria). Terrorism triggered the Oslo Accords in 1993-1995 and drove Israel withdrawal from the Gaza Strip and parts of northern Samaria in 2005.

Israel must end the two-state delusion and declare sovereignty in Judea and Samaria!

Ben Gvir left out of terror attack security assessment over lack of trust

Unnamed coalition members rail against national security minister, calling him ‘barking dog with no bite’ and coalition ‘weak link’; Ben Gvir sends letter demanding cabinet meeting

National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir, who heads the ministry in charge of the police, was not invited to a security assessment following a deadly shooting attack in the West Bank Tuesday.

Channel 12 news quoted government officials as saying the omission was deliberate, because the minister, who chairs the far-right Otzma Yehudit party, is not trusted.

Syria: What is the US endgame?

T. Belman.  Parts of the map aren’t shown. Go to MEE to see them. It seems to me that the US should remain in Syria, east of the Euphrates River . It should remain there and cut off traffic from Iran thereby lessening Iran’s hold on Syria. It is in an enormous battle with Russia in Ukraine. Why is it so tolerant of the Russian presence and influence in Syria?  It could easily mobilize support of Syrian rebels and the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) and the 3 million Kurds and kick Russia out.  Why don’t they? Secondly it is adjacent to the Kurdish section of Iran, (10 million Kurds), and Kurdistan (7 million Kurds) which is an autonomous region of Iraq. The US is missing a huge opportunity to  support the Iranian and Iraqi Kurds to its advantage. Turkey has 12 to 20 million Kurds.

US military presence there has morphed into a low-level forever war as Bashar al-Assad rejoins regional fold

By Sean Mathews, ME EYE 15.6.23

The US said on Wednesday it was sending F-22 fighter jets to Syria to counter threats from Russia, underlining how a military mission that started with the aim of combating the Islamic State militant (IS) group has turned into a wider geopolitical scramble.

Prime Minister Shamir’s principle driven leadership – a model

By Amb.(ret.) Yoram Ettinger, INN 21.6.23

An intifada has erupted in Samaria

Band-Aid solutions ignore the need for open-heart surgery.

Eli terror attack victimsTPS photo

(JNS) The second intifada that erupted some 20 years ago was named Operation High Tide-Low Tide by the IDF. This is very apt for the current events that have plagued Israel as of late. Back then, many were in denial that terrorist organizations had grown stronger. They were convinced that targeted strikes would be enough to solve the situation. This flawed paradigm is once again prevalent among a lot of Israelis.

UN WATCH COUNTERS TODAY’S ASSAULT ON ISRAEL

UN WATCH

• Today in Geneva, the UN’s permanent Commission of Inquiry against Israel headed by Navi Pillay presented a skewed report accusing the Jewish state of “war crimes” and of targeting human rights activists. UN Watch Legal Advisor Dina Rovner refuted the false claims of the report in a detailed legal rebuttal.

• UN Watch Executive Director Hillel Neuer took the floor today in the Human Rights Council debate, calling out the inquiry’s bias. Mr. Neuer will testify before a hearing of the United States Congress on Thursday morning.

• The inquiry’s distortion of history was exposed in the following essay published in The Algemeiner today by Dr. Shany Mor, UN Watch’s Director of Research.

US Ambassador’s ‘balanced’ condemnation bashed by Israeli counterpart

T. Belman. Nides “I condemn in the strongest terms the senseless murder of four innocent Israelis today – my heart is with their grieving family members.” Notice, he doesn’t say who carried out the murders. he also labels the murders as “senseless”. What did he mean by that? And he failed to  to label the murders a terrorist attack AT FIRST.

State Department appears to double down on Nides’ moral equivalence

Amb. Michael Herzog accuses Amb. Thomas Nides of disrespecting memory of terror victims by equating deadly attack with Jenin battle.

20.6.23 9:03 PM

Amb. NidesGilad Korlechik

US Ambassador to Israel Thomas Nides drew criticism over his initial response to Tuesday’s deadly terrorist attack near Eli, drawing comparisons to the fierce gun battle between Israeli security forces in Jenin yesterday (Monday) in which seven soldiers were injured and six terrorists were killed.
