Netanyahu slams Ben-Gvir: ‘Statements undermine law and order’

T. Belman.  What undermines the rule of law is the governments failure to protect her citizens. The citizens are taking the law into their own hands because is failing to do so.  Obviously, if the government took a stronger stance, the citizens wouldn’t take action. In addition, this is not a matter of crime and punishment so much as it is an existential battle. The Palestinians back the terrorists and the citizens should be help responsible. Collective punishment is in order.

T. Belman. Why does Israel need Cypress. Why does Israel not convert it to LNG herself and then ship to Europe?

By

NICOSIA, June 20 (Reuters) – Cyprus hopes to develop plans for a pipeline linking it to Israel’s east Mediterranean gas fields during talks which start next month, the island’s top energy official told Reuters.

Proposals by the new centrist Cypriot government, which came to power in March, represent a markedly different approach to its predecessors in getting gas to Europe and other markets.

By Robyn Dolgin, AM THINKER

Kayla Lovdahl is the perfect test case as a 13-year-old who was approved for “transgender surgery:” She could not conceive, at the time, of the possibility of suffering a lifetime of disfigurement and chronic pain.

Ms. Lovdahl, now 18, has retained an attorney, Charles Limandri, who has employed such emotionally charged words as “barbaric and cruel” to describe the medical team’s actions in causing his client deep physical and emotional wounds.

Bland U.S. Response to Israel’s Palestinian Policy Signals Much Worse

T. Belman. Pinkas says that an escalation of violence will destabilize Jordan and undermine normalization with Saudi Arabia.  In my opinion, destabilizing Jordan is a good thing and clamping down on the Palestinians won’t retard normalization with SA. SA has already indicated that it won’t be subservient to the Palestinian cause.

Any escalation in the West Bank will undermine efforts the U.S. is making to facilitate an upgrade in Saudi-Israeli relations and also destabilize Jordan. So why is Washington refusing to get involved?

In a week where it seemed the West Bank was engulfed in a perfect storm of violence with a built-in escalatory mechanism, the United States mostly remained disinterested and standoffish.

The US Department of State has increased its 2023-24 contribution to the UN agency assisting Palestinian refugees despite widespread concern that antisemitism and jihadi violence is openly taught in schools it administers in the Palestinian territories.

The United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA), founded in 1949 to provide humanitarian and social services to Palestinian refugees, will receive an additional $16.2 million this year, the State Department announced on Wednesday, bringing the total dollar amount it will rake in from the US under a framework agreement finalized in April to $223 million. Since 2021, the US has provided UNRWA $940 million.

Justifying “Islamophobia”

By: Amil Imani

All phobias are, by definition, irrational fears. I’m not an Islamophobe because my “fear” of Islam is entirely rational. Avoiding a poisonous snake is a rational fear. Not a phobia. The emotion of fear, when utilized rationally, is of immense value. The critical point is that the person, as well as the society, must base their assessment on facts.<

Assessing Israel’s ongoing campaign against Iran in Syria

by  June 2023

Since 2013  – and more intensely since 2017 – Israel has been conducting an active military and intelligence campaign against Iran’s presence in Syria, in addition to the ongoing operations against Iran’s nuclear effort. Doubts have been raised as to the long-term ability of this strategy to prevent Iran from sustaining and extending its grip on Syria (as Ehud Yaari argues on these pages).

Israel’s American ‘frenemy’

T. Belman.  Melanie said what most are afraid to say. Good for her. She also accuses Netanyahu of succumbing to American pressure. Netanyahu continues to call Biden a friend of Israel.

If Netanyahu won’t alert Americans to their government’s abandonment of Israel, U.S. politicians must step up to the plate.

By Melanie Phillips

(JNS) As everyone can clearly see, Israel is having to fight to defend itself on several fronts simultaneously.

It faces attack from Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) in Gaza; an escalating Islamist uprising in the disputed territories of Judea and Samaria; some 150,000 Hezbollah missiles capable of hitting the entire country from Lebanon; relentless attempts by Iran to create a similar war machine to attack Israel from its Syrian border; and the threat of a nuclearized Iranian regime that threatens to wipe Israel off the map.

America Wakes Up to Woke

Americans are rejecting wokeism because they finally are realizing that if they do not, they will not have a civilization left.

By  21.6.23

Wokeness was envisioned as a new reboot of the coalition of the oppressed.

Those purportedly victimized by traditional America would find “intersectional” solidarity in their victimhood owing to the supposed sexism, racism, homophobia, transphobia, and other alleged American sins, past and present.
