6 held at fiery anti-overhaul protest at Levin’s home; he vows: I won’t be deterred

T. Belman. In essence, this is what the left in the US did in 2016. Rather than accept the outcome of an election, which is what a democracy requires, they trash the outcome and make it difficult for the winner to govern.

The Palestinians No One Talks About

by Bassam Tawil, GATESTONE  •  June 27, 2023 at 5:00 am

  • Even if the anti-Israel activists are made aware that Palestinian students living under the Palestinian Authority are being hauled off and tortured by their own leaders, they are not likely to speak out because there is no way to blame Israel or hold it responsible.
  • The Palestinian Authority crackdown on students is also being ignored by the international media and human rights organizations that regularly attack Israel but indefatigably refuse to see any wrongdoing on the part of Palestinians. Many foreign journalists covering the Israeli-Palestinian conflict make it their business actually to hunt for any story that reflects badly on Israel.

American v Israeli Patriotism

The Fourth of July is a time to reflect on what Israel can teach America about love of country.

By Eric R. Mandel

(JNS) This June, I was privileged to hear an American lieutenant-general studying at the Israel Defense College speak about American patriotism and the lack thereof. He said he was saddened that he recently read that less than a third of young Americans are proud to be citizens of the United States.

Indeed, a March poll taken by The Wall Street Journal revealed that only 23% of Americans aged 18-29 say patriotism is important to them. Of all adults, only 38% said, “Patriotism was very important, down from 70% in 1998.” Americans place “low importance on these values, many of which were central to their parents’ lives.”

Reform Rabbi Enraged Liberals with this booming speech

by Phil Schneider

Some time over the last two decades, it has become fashionable to bash Israel. This Reform Rabbi’s speech will most definitely get under the skin of anyone who’s idea of being Jewish is to side with those who are working every day to destroy the State of Israel.

The Future of the Palestinian Authority

T. Belman. Given the PA pay for slay policy, why is Bibi supporting it financially. The more they rebel, the more they will be crushed. At least he said that a Palestinian State west of the Jordan R.

Yoni ben Menachem was wrong about who will lead the PA.

Rabbinic group condemns Biden Admin July 4th snub of Religious Zionist Ministers

T. Belman. Every time Israel is naughty and moves the settlement project ahead or fights terror, the US is sure to denounce  her. The more they denounce us the more the more their denunciations are meaningless. Their bark is worse then their bite. So keep irritating them.

CJV, largest rabbinic public policy forum in the world, strongly condemns Biden admin for not inviting Min. Smotrich and Ben Gvir to July 4th fete at US Embassy.

The Coalition for Jewish Values, consisting of over 2000 Orthodox rabbis in the US, with branches in Israel, Europe and Oceania, came out strongly against the Biden Administration’s decision not to invite right-wing party Ministers Bezalel Smotrich (Religious Zionism) and Itamar Ben Gvir (Otzma Yehudit) to the annual July 4th celebration to be held at the US Embassy in Jerusalem on July 3rd.

Russian Rebellion & the Ukraine War w/Col Macgregor

Bear Klein sent me an email:

This article explains the Russia I believe you do not understand.

Prigozhin’s Mutiny Is the Beginning of Putin’s End

Nobody in Russia understands what the war in Ukraine is about. And now, nobody knows if that war is coming to them.

By Lucian Kim, a global fellow with the Wilson Center in Washington and NPR’s former Moscow bureau chief.

I intended to post the whole article but first I wanted to read or watch a few others. One of the reasons I didn’t like the article was because I noticed many articles from the west that suggested variants of the same thing, namely that this is the beginning of the end to Putin’s reign.. I didn’t see it that way. As always, I found Col Macgregor believable. The meaning of Prigozhin’s short-lived mutiny in Russia.  It’s the best but you won’t like the interviewer and Russian Rebellion & the Ukraine War w/Col Doug Macgregor

UKRAINE BACKS ANTISEMITISM AT THE UN WHILE PRESSURING ISRAEL FOR ARMS

By Jonathan Tobin 15.11.22

(JNS) It was just another day at the United Nations. But, instead of its usual business being simply more evidence of the way the virus of anti-Semitism has injected itself into just about everything that within its purview, it recently supplied us with an additional insight. A vote in one of the General Assembly’s committees provided proof that the idealization of the embattled government of Ukraine is somewhat disconnected from reality.

Did Israel Lose the Syrian War? Not Yet

by  JSTRIBUNE  June 2023

Ehud Yaari’s “How Israel Lost the Syrian War” in The Jerusalem Strategic Tribune provides unequaled insight into Israel’s and other states’ actions during the  Syrian civil war. He describes Israel’s tactical successes, noting that IRGC Leader Suleimani’s “original plan [to set up a major new rocket and missile front aimed at Israel] for now is on hold,” and that Israeli intelligence believes that Israel has taken down 80-90% of Iran’s military presence threatening Israel in Syria.  Yet, he goes on, Assad’s survival, “closely allied with Iran, amounts to nothing short of an Israeli strategic failure.”

What is the “Status Quo” on the Temple Mount?

By Maurice Hirsch, Adv. , PMW  |

On June 17, 1967, today 55 years ago, then Israeli Minister of Defense Moshe Dayan solely made one of the most important and fateful decisions in the history of the State of Israel and the Jewish people. Just days after the end of the Six Day War, Dayan agreed to establish the new “Status Quo” regarding the Temple Mount. Fearing open discussion about his decision, Dayan’s agreement was not positively ratified by Israel’s government of the day or by any government since.

Ukraine slams Israel for ‘close cooperation’ with Russia, ‘verbal demagoguery’

A day after Russian mercenaries turned on Vladimir Putin in what could become a pivotal moment in the war, Kyiv attacks Israel for not taking a more forceful stand. Ukraine’s ambassador to Israel to be summoned for a reprimand over his “harsh” rhetoric..

 By  David Baron, IH 25.6.23

The Ukrainian Embassy in Israel attacked Jerusalem on Sunday for not taking a more forceful stance against Russia, a day after a short-lived mutiny by the mercenary Wagner Group humiliated the Kremlin.

The embassy, which echoed a similar attack by Ukrainian officials over Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu not visiting the war-torn country to show solidarity, said that it was disappointed by the Israeli government’s apparent growing support for Moscow and for allegedly making up excuses not to stand by Kyiv.

The hidden cost of electric vehicles that should be a deal breaker for any freedom-loving American

Why are more consumers not thinking about how this will hand the keys of tyranny over to technocrats already in love with lockdowns and surveillance tools?

LEO HOHMANN

There’s a hidden motive behind the movement to transition Americans out of their gas-powered vehicles and into electric cars.

Not only are electric cars more expensive, meaning that fewer people will be able to afford to drive in the years ahead. But electric cars also mean the end of the gas tax, which is what funds road maintenance and other projects in all 50 states.

Nobody is talking about this. But the new tax plan will mark the end of your freedom of movement, your right to move about anonymously, and the beginning of government tracking of your every move.

Biden Tries To Bribe Netanyahu Over Iran Nukes

JaFaJ INTELLIGENCE       June 22, 2023

1. Summary: The Biden administration is seeking Israel’s secret endorsement of a new nuclear deal between the United States and Iran. Biden is promising the Israelis to limit Iran’s uranium endorsement at 60 percent and forcing her to cease attacking Israel through its proxy terror groups in Lebanon and Gaza. Nonetheless, the Israelis are not convinced and therefore seeking another guarantor for the said deal, particularly the Chinese, Iran’s new mentors. Meanwhile, the attacking Iran’s nuclear program remains an option for the Israelis.

Thomas Nides: Stumble-Bum In The Promised Land

Thomas Nides is the American Ambassador to Israel. He has not exactly endeared himself to the Israelis in the little more than two years he’s been in their country, for he has a supercilious habit of telling them what he, the grand panjandrum and viceroy from Washington, thinks they should do. More on this stumble-bumbling Mr. Buttinsky can be found in this article from March that retains its relevance: “A Bumbling Ambassador in Israel,” by Jerold Auerbach, Algemeiner, March 3, 2023:

Ted Belman’s remarks at Jordan Option Conference in 2017

T. Belman. I have further edited the sub-titles to give you a more coherent reading of what was said. I did so because I believe my remarks are noteworthy.

It is my pleasure and honor to welcome you here to this historic event. The conference will be seen as the beginning of the end of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and hopefully the beginning of the Jordanian presidency of my friend Mudar Zahran.

I met Mudar shortly after making Aliyah some eight years ago and worked with him during those years to pursue and perfect his plans. Mudar wanted to become president of Jordan because he wanted to serve his people, the Palestinians.

No moral equivalence

There is no moral equivalence whatsoever between Palestinian terrorists and Israeli troops. Falsely balanced diplomatic formulations like those that “call upon all sides to end the cycle of violence” must be rejected.

By  David M. Weinberg, IH 23.6.23

As is his usual rotten wont, UN Middle East envoy Tor Wennesland this week condemned the “continuing cycle of violence” in Judea and Samaria, as if Israel and the Palestinians each were cavalierly engaging in murder just for fun or out of comparable burning hatred.

Even US Ambassador Tom Nides seemed to draw a parallel between the gruesome Palestinian attack near Eli (where two Palestinian terrorists gunned down four Israeli civilians in a restaurant), and the Palestinian bystanders killed in a shootout between IDF soldiers and the terrorists they were seeking during an arrest raid in Jenin.

The Terrorism Of Emasculated Palestinians

FirstOneThrough   24.6.23

The United Nations met this week to discuss counter-terrorism. One of the discussions focused on a left-wing term-of-art called “maculinities” and its need to be studied and addressed in the field of terrorism. Specifically, a 90-minute discussion called “Bridging the gap: Connecting research, policy and practice on masculinities to more effectively counter terrorism and prevent and counter violent extremism” urged the UN and members states to tackle the issue of “toxic masculinity” and how it is used to draw recruits to terrorism.

Netanyahu slams Ben-Gvir: ‘Statements undermine law and order’

T. Belman.  What undermines the rule of law is the governments failure to protect her citizens. The citizens are taking the law into their own hands because is failing to do so.  Obviously, if the government took a stronger stance, the citizens wouldn’t take action. In addition, this is not a matter of crime and punishment so much as it is an existential battle. The Palestinians back the terrorists and the citizens should be help responsible. Collective punishment is in order.
