Ongoing competition between China and the United States for next-generation technologies will define the future of artificial intelligence (AI), according to one U.S. congressman.

AI, in turn, will determine the outcome of the New Cold War between the two powers, said Rep. Mike Waltz (R-Fla.).

The only way to ensure U.S. victory in the AI race, and thus the New Cold War, he believes, is to sever ties between the two nations’ tech sectors.

Well, Comey certainly knows all about weaponizing federal agencies for partisan purposes.

COVID is blamed for the vast ruin and destruction of the past few years.

After all, there were a more than a million deaths in the U.S., mass layoffs, and the destruction of hundreds of thousands of small businesses. There’s been learning loss and speech delays in children, and depression and other mental health crises in teenagers. There’s the massive inflation seen today and a huge surge in the federal debt brought on by federal COVID spending and let’s not even get into the fraud. There’s also the refusal of workers to return to work, the still-empty churches and downtown office spaces, and countless other still-lingering negative effects.

In a breakthrough that has rocked the tyrannical Iranian regime and fired a shot across the bows of western appeasers, 108 former world leaders have signed a joint statement of solidarity with the people of Iran and shown their support for the main democratic opposition coalition the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) and its key constituent organization – the People’s Mojahedin of Iran/Mojahedin-e Khalq (PMOI/MEK). Signatories to the letter include former US Vice President Mike Pence and 50 former Presidents, 47 former Prime Ministers, one former Chancellor, and nine other former Heads of State from across the world. Two former Presidents of the European Commission and three Nobel Peace Prize laureates are also among the signatories.

With much fanfare, the Biden Administration recently unveiled a plan that supposedly aims to counter anti-Semitism in America. Several “mainstream” American Jewish organizations fell over each other, racing to be first to distribute their press statements praising the Biden paper. I differ.

I live in various worlds including those of the secular legal profession, opinion journalism, and academia. I also know the American Jewish organizational universe from the inside. Among the many in that alphabet universe of ADL’s and AJC’s and XYZ’s, each has its own publicists, and they all race to get their press release out before “the competition” does. Their dream: maybe, if they are fast enough and say the words coveted by the leftist mainstream media, their organization’s name will be cited and their leader will be quoted, wistfully in the New York Times. Or at least in some left-wing “Jewish” outlet like the JTA, the TOI, or Haaretz.

On a recent visit to Doha, where I spoke with Qatari and American foreign policy officials, I was reminded of the question that always arises when talking about U.S.-Qatar relations: Friend, foe, or a little of both?

In January 2022, President Biden designated Qatar a major non-NATO ally, a designation the State Department calls “a powerful symbol of the close relationship the United States shares with those countries and [one that] demonstrates our deep respect for the friendship for the countries to which it is extended.” At the time, the Department of Defense reported that Biden and Qatari Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani “discussed shared regional security interests, including de-escalating tensions in the region, countering terrorism, and the threats represented by Iran.”

Saudi Arabia’s leadership is not counting on an improvement in the country’s relations with Iran, and estimates that Tehran will violate the agreement between them at the first opportunity, senior officials in Riyadh told Israel Hayom.

According to the officials, the view that the tightening of relations between Saudi Arabia and Iran has put a stopper on the possibility of future progress towards normalization with Israel, is not true.
