n March 11, Iran attacked an oil-producing site in Oman.  The strike hit fuel storage tanks at the Port of Salalah, a major energy hub on Oman’s Arabian Sea coast used for tanker refueling and storage.  Reports say drones hit several tanks and set parts of the facility on fire.

This is quite a remarkable development.  Someone in the Toronto airport captured video of Iranian Cleric Hojjatoleslam Morteza Tayebi arriving in Canada yesterday [Video Here].  As the story is told, apparently 700+ members of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), who carry out regime terrorism, reside or have dual citizenship in Canada. “The individual observed in the Pearson Toronto Airport videos, carrying a suitcase while dressed in clerical attire, is Hojatoleslam Morteza Taieb.  According to some reports, he holds residency or citizenship in Canada and travels between Iran and this country.” {Source}

It used to be said that China was one of the very few places on earth that had never experienced antisemitism. That proud boast can no longer be made. At the direction of Xi Jinping, China has turned up the volume of its official Israel-hatred, for reasons of state, including the desire to win Arab favor and contracts, and because the Chinese figure that if Israel is a loyal and effective ally of the United States, then it must perforce be understood to be an enemy of China. Peloni:  An important context can be gleaned from the military strikes on Kharg Island.  So long as the strikes are targeted at the military installations while preserving the oil infrastructure, it can be assumed that the outcome of the war is still directed towards a Western focused govt taking over in Iran, as the oil would provide the financial basis of this emerging Western aligned regime.  Should the military strikes begin to target the oil infrastructure, it would signal an understanding by the US that the existing regime is too well entrenched and that the oil infrastructure provides support for this entrenchment, thus making it a necessary target.  Kharg Island is a pivotal aspect of Iran’s economic lifeline, so US attacks on it provides an important bellwether insight into the US strategic outlook.  The economic model supporting the existing regime and its various regional/global proxies would be greatly compromised if the energy infrastructure on Kharg Island was destroyed, but destroying it would also compromise any regime which might emerge as a result of such an attack

On Sunday, 1 March in Bet Shemesh, a missile built and launched in Iran by the gentiles there crashed down not on an enemy’s military camp or installation but randomly in a residential area, slamming into a synagogue with an air raid shelter built beneath it. The synagogue was destroyed and 9 of the 30 Jews within the shelter were murdered.

Federal Security Grants are Blocked by DHS Funds cutoff

Temple Israel has great security and we should all be grateful that its armed security guards were able to neutralize the armed intruder who crashed his explosives-filled vehicle into the synagogue. The guards saved many lives, especially children attending a preschool in the synagogue, the location of the attack.

Too many times churches and synagogues make excuses for not having security. Some are ideological: we don’t want armed guards or guns near our religious place. Others are willing to have guards but not with guns (consider what that would have meant for Temple Israel with over 140 lives at risk). Some are financial: we don’t have money to put in security. Some are denial: it will never happen to us.
