The Mirage of “Arab Mediation”

Peloni:  Anni suggests that the Middle East is no longer afraid of Iranian dominance, but of an Iranian demise which sees the region engulfed in flames.  As such, the Gulf states are looking to the US as a mediating power which can keep the post 12 Day War region from spiraling into such a scenario by negotiating with Iran, restraining Israel and giving the Sunni states nearly all that they request.   Her conclusion is that by playing such a role, the US has made its slogan of America First irrelevant and replaced it with a Gulf First reality, as the stabilizing effort by the US revolves around supporting the Gulf states’ interests and not that of the US or its real ally Israel.

The Middle East went through a twelve-day shockwave five months ago, a rupture that broke every old assumption about power, fear, and survival. Nations that once postured as regional lions are now whispering in Washington’s hallways like anxious shareholders at a collapsing corporation. And at the center of this panic sits Mohammed bin Salman, Saudi Arabia’s crown prince, the man who spent the better part of a decade locking horns with Iran, suddenly presenting himself as a peacemaker between Tehran and Washington.

Victor Davis Hanson: Confronting Conservative Antisemitism

Peloni:  Again, we must take note that those who are engaging in pro-Iranian, antisemitism are not conservatives.  They walk like the Left, they talk like the Left, and they attack conservative values and allies like the Left.  We must acknowledge this fact, and make little use of the term ‘conservative’ when describing them or we run the risk of doing the hard work of achieving their goals for them.

How the law will protect Jewish New Yorkers, even under a Mamdani administration

Peloni:  This is a very important article.   The article linked below was brought to my attention, and I suggest that a careful digestion of what is depicted there is in order.

Rabbi Goldfeder, who is founder and director of National Jewish Advocacy Center and a professor at Touro Law School, explains that despite concerns surrounding NYC Mayor-elect Zohran Mamdani’s response to antisemitic incidents in NYC, the NY City’s Jewish community has strong legal protections in place to deal with this concern.

Goldfeder notes that  the National Jewish Advocacy Center (NJAC) has outlined several powerful legal tools which will support the Jewish community if needed. Among these, the FACE Act provides legal protections for religious worship from physical obstruction and intimidation. Also, Section 1983 of the Civil Rights Act of 1871 allows citizens the ability to sue government officials who violate constitutional rights through discriminatory enforcement or deliberate indifference. Additionally, Section 1981 of the Civil Rights Act of 1866 provides for equal protection and addresses bias-motivated attacks, as demonstrated in cases where anti-Zionist violence has been recognized as antisemitism under federal law.

Through hundreds of billions of dollars — estimated at up to a trillion dollars — funneled into Western universities, research centers, media platforms and political advocacy networks, Qatar has become the leading global patron of the Muslim Brotherhood in pushing an ideological agenda aimed at reshaping democratic societies from within. Understanding What We’re For in Four Words

There’s more work to do. The haters still hate. But, thanks to Zionism, we won – and will continue winning, while teaching the West about self-defense, self-reliance, and self-respect.

Americans are traditionally self-absorbed, focused on their lives and, at best, domestic politics. That’s why it’s stunning to see how much coverage, fury and focus, there has been for two years on Israel in Gaza.

The move by Syria to coordinate with the PIJ belies the reality of Jolani’s attempts to charm the US under false pretenses and threatens both the Syrian Druze and the Israeli people.  Israel must take note of this, even if the Americans don’t.

The “Tucker test” of the conservative movement

The conservative movement faces a defining moment as Carlson mainstreams antisemitism and conspiracy.

By ADAM MILSTEIN | NOVEMBER 19, 2025

Tucker Carlson has never hidden his hostility and twisted obsession toward Israel, Jews, or anyone who stands with them. Recently, though, his anti-Jewish rhetoric reached a new level.

He is now elevating voices that not long ago were considered too extreme and shameful to be heard anywhere outside the shadows. Carlson has hosted several individuals with established antisemitic records, but the clearest example came when he hosted Nick Fuentes on his podcast—a Holocaust-denying, Hitler-praising, white nationalist, who calls for the defeat of “global Jewry.” For more than two hours, Carlson gave him a platform to rant about “organized Jewry” controlling America, to praise Stalin, and to smear Republicans who support Israel as victims of a “brain virus.”

The Green Prince: What Mosab Yousef Revealed to Erin Molan Shocked the Entire Room

Peloni:  While shocking seems to mischaracterize this interview with Erin Molan, how Mosab “The Green Prince” Yousef describes growing up inside Hamas will likely surprise some.  He notes that Hamas presented itself as a justice movement but was in reality a death-centered culture built on martyrdom, oppression of women, abuse of the citizens, and generalized use of brutality. He recalls that the turning point for him came while being imprisoned in Israel in the 1990s, when he witnessed Hamas torturing and killing fellow Palestinian inmates.  This led Yousef to question what a Hamas-run state would actually look like and he ultimately rejected the movement despite the personal cost. He explains that many Palestinians adopt a victimhood mindset, while Western supporters project a savior complex which only serves to fuel the conflict without grasping the relevance of the true horrors of Hamas’s violence. Seeing the October 7 atrocities led Yousef to severed the last emotional bond with his father, a co-founder of Hamas, stating that he could not maintain any connection with someone who would support such barbarism. Explaining that ideological identity traps people in continuing the conflict, Yousef rejects all ideological labels for himself while also refusing any dialogue with anyone who clings to a Palestinian identity built on grievance and denial of Jewish legitimacy. Mosab’s fight against Hamas is moral and existential rather than political, and he explains that he prefers freedom, even in defeat, over any victory achieved under violent ideology.  He goes on to also note that he considers it to be his responsibility to confront the movement’s cruelty with clarity, honesty, and courage.

In an important article written by on Arutz Sheva, it was revealed that during the meeting of the Knesset’s Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee, the Ministry of Defense announced it would be ending the restrictions on Jewish land purchases in Judea and Samaria, even before the legislation supporting this move is completed.  MK Boaz Bismuth, approved the bill’s first reading to abolish the 1953 “Jordanian Law #40” which had prohibited Jews from directly acquiring land rights in the area.

1,400+ year jihadi Muslim ideology is inside the gates

Peloni:  Update:  Sarah Becksrom’s father reports that “She has a mortal wound. It’s not going to be a recovery.”  Source: Raylan Givens

Victor Sharpe:  This is Andrew Wolfe and Sarah Becksrom, the two National Guardsmen from West Virginia gunned down in Washington, DC by an Afghan terrorist who screamed the Muslim war cry of Allahu Akbar as he fired at his victims.

Andrew and Sarah are now fighting for their lives in a local hospital.

Coming on the eve of Thanksgiving Day, may we take the opportunity to wish both guardsmen a speedy and complete recovery, give thanks to the Unity of our One and Only God and pray for the safety of our beloved America.

The shooting of two National Guard soldiers in DC near the White House is not “another security incident.” It is the latest evidence of a truth Western leaders still refuse to face: the 1,400+ year jihadi Muslim ideology is inside the gates, and America is still asleep.

Rush Limbaugh on the True Story of Thanksgiving

Sebastien:  Happy Thanksgiving, Israpundits, American or not. My late Jubu mother used to hand out paper and pens and asked everyone to list ten things they were grateful for even when we went to other people’s homes without their names. She made a game of it. They would be rolled up with a rubber band, mixed up in a basket, and everyone would take turns reading one. People would then try to guess who wrote what. There were no winners or losers; it was a pointless game (point less get it? ? ) The last time I attended a Thanksgiving dinner, some years ago, I put down that I was grateful Trump got elected, the room exploded and the evening careened to a crashing end as the offended parties got up in a huff and left. No such restrictions here.

I used to find it annoying but when I woke up this morning, I thought of my five senses and it gave me pause.

I should also say that on the handful of occasions I have attended Shabbat beginner’s services, I have noticed that the siddurs, the prayer books, seemed to be pretty much just saying, “Thank You, Thank You, Thank You” over and over.

Can you name ten things you are grateful for this year?

October 7 Collage by Hnuden – Own work, CC0, Wikipedia

It has not been my habit to explore the question of what went wrong on October 7 in my posts: The question of how we could have so badly missed the signs. That is because this question is essentially an “in-house” issue (albeit an exceedingly important one) and I address a primarily international audience.

Trump said to be ‘disappointed’ with MBS after he rejects Saudi-Israel normalization in White House meeting

Peloni:  The very reason for Hamas attacking Israel alone was to prevent Saudi normalization, and given the renewed support of Palestinians in the Arab street, it appears that this ship has sailed with the return of the regional primacy of resolving the Palestinian issue, thus imploding the Abraham Accords which did the opposite.  Notably, if MBS were to accept the fact that a Muslim Palestinian state has existed since the creation of the Emirate of TransJordan more than a century ago, stabilizing the region might move forward, something which will be missed if this is ignored.  Importantly, for Israel to accept Saudi normalization, it must come with no requirement that Israel should suffer the need of fostering an existential threat against it, and the creation of a second Muslim Palestinian state would do exactly that.  Such a creation, however,  would simultaneously represent a threat against the Saudis as well, whose future interests align with a stabilized region, something which the TSS has no possibility of achieving.  With saying goodbye to the Abraham Accords, recognizing Jordan as the Muslim Palestinian state remains the only focus which could significantly achieve what the Abraham Accords were intended to achieve, namely peace in the region with the expansion of trade, commerce, travel and modernization as the potential windfalls which would support more than just Saudi interests.

Tucker Carlson Attacks Israel in Latest Antisemitic Rant

Peloni:  Carlson and his allies are specifically trying to become so outrageous that Trump will have no choice but to address their rank antisemitism.

Notably, Carlson doesn’t control Trump’s base, but he doesn’t have to control it to divide it, which he is specifically doing in the midst of the campaign for the coming midterms. Carlson only needs to split the MAGA base large enough to give the Dems control of the congress next year, and if he is successful in doing so, the consequences of this will be quite significant.  Instead of Trump facing Russia, Russia, Russia for the balance of his term, he will be dealing with the latest obsession of the Left: Israel, Israel, Israel. The timing and growing crescendo of vocal assault specifically on Jews and Israel and Christian Zionists are all too damaging to the Republicans and too well timed with the coming midterms to suggest Carlson’s attempt to re-invent himself as the new Father Coughlin is motivated by anything else.
