The Dangerous Nexus: Russia and Iran’s Mullahs
by Majid Rafizadeh, GATESTONE • November 11, 2022 at 5:00 am

- The Iranian regime, which has long argued that it is not seeking to develop nuclear weapons… has lately changed its tone and is boasting that it currently has the ability to build a nuclear bomb.
- Biden’s new nuclear deal, if reached, will also allow Russia to cash in on a $10 billion contract to further expand Iran’s nuclear infrastructure.
In clash over High Court override, it’s minority rights against majority’s will
T. Belman. Thankfully this article presents both sides. We are in this quandary because, the High Court took it upon itself to declare the Basic Laws to be a stand-in for Israel’s absent constitution, allowing the court to strike down legislation and government decisions that violate rights set forth in Basic Laws. It had no right to do this. Only the legislative body can enact a constitutional provision. That’s where the problem started.
It is also about values. The Court upholds liberal values, whereas the Knesset upholds conservative values.
Advocates for a High Court override say such a law is necessary to ensure the will of the majority is enforced; opponents argue the rights of minorities would be trampled
Today, 6:50 am
One of the most critical consequences of the November election is that it will likely bring to power a governing coalition comprising four parties that are all strong, if not ardent, proponents of radically overhauling the principle of judicial review in the Jewish state.
Woke multiculturalism is national suicide: Canada is proof
T. Belman. I made Aliyah from Canada in 2009. It was in the middle of PM Harper’s time in office (2006 t0 2015), a Prime Minister one could be proud of. Then along came the Globalist, Justin Trudeau, who was the exact opposite of Harper. He set about destroying the Canada I grew up in and liked. So happy I moved to Israel.
Merkel’s Germany in 2015 brought in 1 m. migrants ti a population of 80 m.. Canada will bring in 1.5 m. to a population of 38 m. Op-ed.

In 1988, Canada officially became a multicultural country. “Did Canada culturally commit suicide?” a Catholic writer now wonders.
“Let’s not be surprised: for some years Canadian elites have dreamed of this scenario, hoping to make Canada a country of one hundred million inhabitants by the end of the century and they have just gone from dream to action”, writes Mathieu Bock-Coté, the sociologist star of French TV. “500,000 immigrants a year correspond to Canada’s vision of itself, a post-national country without an identity. The only identity is his cult of multiculturalism, which it presents as a celebration of diversity, which can even lead ot to pay homage to the niqab. Canada is engaged in an unprecedented ideological experience ”.
74 Percent of Jewish Voters View Trump, MAGA as ‘Threat to Jews in America,’ Poll Finds
T. Belman. Unbelievable. How can Trump or MAGA be responsible for the increase in antisemitism or a threat to democracy? How can these Jews not see that their own Democratic Party is the real threat to democracy by rigging the elections for instance. Also the Democratic Party and its squad are responsible for the rise in antisemitism. As is their embrace of the Palestinian narrative casting Israel as an occupier.
Obviously, they get their opinions from the Main Stream Media, The Reform Movement and J Street, among others.
American Jewish voters overwhelmingly supported Democratic candidates in the U.S. midterms on Tuesday, with democracy and abortion being the key issues of concern

WASHINGTON—Three out of four Jewish Americans voted for Democrats in the U.S. midterm elections, significantly motivated by rising antisemitism and extremism fostered by former president Donald Trump’s influence on the Republican Party.
Jews backed Democrats over Republicans by a 74-25 margin, according to a GBAO Election Night poll commissioned by J Street, with 55 percent of voters citing “the state of democracy” as their top issue while 40 percent cited abortion.

Many aspects of the 2022 midterms Tuesday night appeared to be a replay of the suspicious activity seen during the 2020 presidential election.
Here’s what really happened in mid-terms!
T. Belman. Tierney says the mid terms were a big win for Trump and don’t believe the fake news.
Read on and you will understand why.
She said that the machines gave De Santis a big boost to make Trump look bad and gave Fetterman and Whitmore a big boost for the reason..
TIERNEY’S REAL NEWS NOV 10
How did Republicans do in the mid-terms? GREAT. But the GOP establishment, the Koch Libertarian RINOS, the fake news and the left don’t want you to know that. They have big plans to kill Trump and MAGA and they are ALL working together to do that. It’s hard to summarize all this in 15 minutes but here goes….the email is long so if it cuts off go direct to the post at my website at TierneyRealNewsNetwork.
5 Ways the New Conservative Israeli Government Can Help American Interests
THAT’S ASSUMING AMERICA WANTS THESE THINGS

1. Strong Stance Against Terrorism
During Israel’s elections, Netanyahu and other members of Israel’s Right-wing campaigned on taking a tougher stance against terrorism in Israel, which has been one of the main threats American troops and allies face in the Middle East. With the Assad regime receiving aid from Russia and the Islamic Republic of Iran and the continuous threat of Hezbollah in Southern Lebanon, the new Israeli government has vowed to confront these threats by any means necessary.

Coalition talks: Smotrich inclined to take defense portfolio
Israel National News Nov 10, 2022, 11:18 AM (GMT+2)
Bezalel SmotrichNoam Revkin Fenton/Flash90
Religious Zionism chairman MK Bezalel Smotrich is currently inclined to choose the defense portfolio in the incoming government, Kan Reshet Bet reported Thursday. Over the past week, Smotrich consulted with retired generals and other defense experts regarding the possible appointment as Defense Minister.
In a meeting on Wednesday, Smotrich told Prime Minister-elect Benjamin Netanyahu that although he is still debating between the finance and defense portfolios, he is currently inclined to choose defense. According to sources that were involved in the discussion, Netanyahu did not express opposition to Smotrich taking the defense position.
Israel blamed for deadly strike on Iranian convoy at Syria-Iraq border
US denies involvement while Jerusalem remains mum as per its policy; Iranian state TV claims trucks were carrying fuel to Lebanon, but others claim weapons were also being shipped
9 November 2022, 7:39 pm

Israel was accused Wednesday of carrying out a series of overnight airstrikes on a convoy near the Syria-Iraq border that left at least 10 people dead, including a number of Iranian fighters.
There has been no claim of responsibility for the strikes on a series of trucks as they crossed into Syria from Iraq at the al-Qaim crossing shortly before midnight Tuesday. The trucks were reportedly carrying fuel and possibly weapons from Iran to Lebanon.
Israel could be en route to a tyranny of the majority
T. Belman. When Canada repatriated its constitution from Great Britain, it amended its Charter to allow for a “notwithstanding clause”. which is sometimes referred to as the override power, and it allows Parliament or provincial legislatures to temporarily override sections 2 and 7–15 of the Charter. It lasts for 5 years and then must be renewed.
The sky has yet to fall.
I venture to say that the rights of the minority will not be seriously hampered, if at all.
The ‘override clause’ planned by the incoming coalition risks leaving Israel without an effective independent judiciary and no guaranteed civil liberties
Today, 10:05 am
All four parties in Benjamin Netanyahu’s incoming coalition are interested in reducing the power of the Supreme Court by legislating a so-called “override clause” that would drastically restrict the justices’ capacity to intervene in Knesset legislation and government decisions.
Among the arguments advanced in support of such a move is the court’s ostensible over-involvement in lawmaking; the claim that our politicians, as elected representatives of the people, should hold ultimate sway over non-elected judges; and the fact that parliament holds primacy over the courts even in such mighty democracies as Britain.
Here We Go Again… Suspicious Ballots Arrive Way After Legal Deadline in Detroit
By Kan Donovan, WESTERN JOURNAL

“Here We Go Again… Suspicious Ballots Arrive Way After Legal Deadline in Detroit,” Ben Wetmore reported on Wednesday, after a confusing election night.
According to the Detroit Free Press, Michigan voters on Tuesday decided to enshrine reproductive rights, early voting and financial disclosures on behalf of certain elected officials into the state constitution. Voters in Oakland County came out to support transit.
Netanyahu Commits to Top Court Override Clause in Next Government
Netanyahu is likely to form a government within a week or two, after a compromise has been found regarding the details of the proposal that will allow the Israeli coalition to reenact laws overturned by the Supreme Court and avoid judicial oversight

Officials from Benjamin Netanyahu’s Likud party said on Wednesday that the coalition agreement with the heads of the right-wing parties that are likely to join the government will contain a commitment to enact a parliamentary override clause.
The party heads made it clear they would not be satisfied with anything less, and would not sign a coalition agreement that only includes the distribution of ministries and a promise to reverse the previous government’s legislative agenda.
US ambassador Nides: ‘We will fight against any attempt at annexation’
T. Belman. The battle lines are drawn. Will Bibi weigh on on the matter and try to thwart annexation? Regardless, it all depends on whether Smotrich is the Min of Defense or removes Area C from the Civil Administration.

US Ambassador to Israel Thomas Richard NidesOlivier Fitoussi/Flash90
United States Ambassador to Israel Thomas Nides sent a warning regarding the possibility that the next government will attempt to annex land in Judea and Samaria. In an interview with Kan News on Thursday, the ambassador stated that he will fight against any attempt to make such a move and explained, “The United States and most of the Arab nations oppose annexation.”
The ambassador opened by expressing his willingness to work with the new government, saying, “I want to start with a relationship with this government that is strong and enduring, I want to work closely with Prime Minister Netanyahu, I want to work closely with his government.”

Joshua Teitelbaum on Israel and the Persian Gulf: Dawn of a New Era
Joshua Teitelbaum, Bar-Ilan University professor and author, spoke to an October 31st Middle East Forum Webinar (video) about the increasingly open relations between Israel and the countries in the Persian Gulf region.
Teitelbaum touted the progress that has been made between the Jewish State and the Gulf countries, noting that the past vitriol expressed toward Jews and Israel by many Arab countries and their leaders is diminishing. He said the United Arab Emirates (UAE), “a pioneer in the relations,” has employed “soft power” since it joined the Abraham Accords brokered by Washington under the Trump administration. Describing the UAE’s method, Teitelbaum said, “First, they make Judaism kosher, and then they make Israel kosher.”
