Ancient Assyrian Tax Inscription Found Near Temple Mount
Peloni: I am forever moved by the evidence which still exists to this day which demonstrates the inspiring connection between our past and the present as represented in such tiny pieces of clay as exemplified in this tax notice passed between the King of Judah and his contemporary nearly three millennia ago. Interestingly enough, these revelations demonstrate the contradiction in fake narratives as told by our enemies to debase our claim of ancestral connection to the land of our forefathers, but the grander import which I find among these ancient relics is our ability to gain a better understanding of our past and the frailties, follies, ingenuities and victories which led our people from three thousand years ago to this day. Indeed, such understandings are the fundamental foundations upon which a society’s identity is understood, and notably, it is our identity which our enemies are targeting when they shade our history with their invented tales which prefer to gas light the well depicted record of our presence in the land of our forefathers.

An extraordinary archaeological discovery near Jerusalem’s Temple Mount has revealed the first known written evidence of direct communication between the Assyrian Empire and the Kingdom of Judah. The tiny clay fragment no larger than a coin contains a 2,700-year-old inscription that appears to be a tax notice sent to a King of Judah, the Israel Antiquities Authority announced Wednesday.
