Peloni:  The pursuit of US classified documents continues.  The interesting point about the charge of classified documentation is that it specifically prevents public scrutiny over the specifics of the relevant charges.  This legal charade was used to weaponize the law against Trump and others during Biden’s presidency, and the exposure of this fact has now poisoned the very real need to keep sensitive documents inside the proper chain of command.

The nearly four-thousand-year-old association of Jewish life in Gaza is little remembered or known in today’s world. Of course, those who have read the Hebrew Bible know of the Biblical story of Samson being blinded by the now extinct Philistines and how he brought down the temple to their gods in Gaza. But very few others have any idea of the deep Jewish history in the following millennia. In the Second millennium BCE, Gaza served as an administrative city and residence of the Egyptian governor of Canaan. The Bible tells us that the Jewish patriarch, Isaac, dug wells in Gerar, an ancient site between Beer Sheba and Gaza, and in the 13th century BCE the Philistines or Caphorites (Cretans) annihilated the Avite inhabitants of Gaza and made the city the largest of their five centers.

Peloni:  So long as the hostages are to be treated like a priceless asset, Hamas will move to increase the number of hostages it holds.  This is bad news for the IDF forces on the front lines as well as in outposts inside Gaza.  As Israel has been anxious to pay such steep prices for the hostages, it has made the revival of Jew Hunting profitable beyond imagining.  This was always an unfortunate but predictable outcome to the ‘negotiations’ at almost any price for even a small number of hostages.

US Ambassador to Turkey and Envoy to Syria Tom Barrack is creating a mess in the Middle East, seemingly unaware of the repercussions. Working with the Lebanese government, he crafted a five-page plan outlining steps for Lebanon to disarm the Iran-backed militia Hezbollah and reciprocal actions for Israel. The fatal flaw? Barrack failed to consult Israel before committing it to this Lebanese-American proposal, expecting the Jewish state to adhere to a plan it never reviewed. This, Barrack believes, is diplomacy. It is not.

Peloni: Megyn Kelly’s description of the routine Israel Lobby nonsense easily fails to impress.  Where is her commentary on the Qatari lobby, the Saudi Lobby or the UAE lobby, all of which outdistance the Israel lobby.  Indeed, rather than criticizing AIPAC for its efforts to share the realities in Israel with her, she should have taken that offer and seen for herself the tragedy of what took place there.  Instead of being ‘independent’, her comments clearly paint Kelly as being ill informed, as she once again comes to the support of the pro-Iran, Israel-bashing Tucker Carlson who she “knows” so well.  Perhaps she should stop outsourcing her perspective to the influence of her friend Carlson, and find out for herself what the facts really are in Israel.   Perhaps, then, instead of condemning AIPAC for their efforts to inform the world of what life really is like in Israel, she will come to lend her voice in calling for AIPAC to stop supporting the menacing threat of a Two State Solution.
