Peloni: The disconnection between societies youths and their elders, which is demonstrated by the shifting demographic support of the Pals between these two age groups, should teach us, if nothing else, that such atrocities as October 7, which have notably gained the support of many of today’s young, will one day be entertained as being emulated by them. As unsettling as it might be, and is, barbarism has taken root among these misguided youths, and the generational cost of this tragedy should unfortunately be expected to bear its own fruit in the form of such spontaneously ambitious enterprises as planning the next October 7.
Authorities in that country aren’t taking it seriously.

Not the mass murder of Israelis that took place in the past, at the Nova Music Festival that was held in Israel on October 7, 2023, but a mass murder planned for the future, at the Boom Music Festival to be held in Portugal this July. Antisemites, encouraged by the hatred that has been heaped on Israel by so much of the world, with so many people both so ill-informed and so malevolent, have apparently been planning to do all kinds of terrible things to the 4,000 Israelis expected to attend this year’s festival. Perhaps the sudden revelation about the planning of that massacre will prevent it, if Portuguese authorities wake up from their stupor, from being attempted.
