Peloni:  Among the shocking revelations included in this video is that the US notified the Iranians of the incoming American attack at Fordow.  Is it reasonable to believe that Trump would notify the Iranians of an incoming attack, jeaoparding both the mission, American prestige and the lives of the pilots involved?  Or is it more reasonable to believe that the Qataris, gaining foreknowledge of the attack passed this info onto the Iranians with whom they have been negotiating on part of the US?

It is a long conversation between two men who don’t always agree, but who present their views in a manner marked by shared respect for each other and their goals of supporting the Jewish people and Israel.  Well worth watching.

Israel initiated Operation Rising Lion because there was absolutely no doubt regarding Iran’s intention to attack the Jewish State with nuclear weapons. And the timing was critical because the Islamic Republic was dangerously close to “breakout,” facilitated in part by Barack Obama’s feckless nuclear deal and the transfer of billions of dollars to Iran during both his and Biden’s administrations. Peloni:  It is as if Trump was unaware that the Mullahs were never going to keep the peace, or expectant that Israel would ignore the casualties which were associated with these treaty violations.  Israel should maintain a vigilance with Iran as it has done with Lebanon.  Violations, particularly significant violations, must be met with a penalizing response.  Just what might Pres. Trump do if an Iranian ballistic missile should find its way to the center of New York City?  He would do what was  expected of him as the leader of the American people, and punitively punish those who purposefully fired that missile, and he would be right to do so.  Israel should have no more restraint placed upon them while responding to such intended tragedies than any other nation, and no other nation would be expected to do less than respond.  In fact, it would be a moral, strategic and political act of betrayal by anyone who failed to respond to such an obvious war crime.  The objective of peace should not be simply the absence of war by one side or the other, but the expectation of reciprocal responses to violations as the occur as the minimum foundational basis of any cessation of hostilities.  Failing to employ such a standard as Trump is now demanding would require Israel to surrender, when in fact the war with Iran has always been a defensive war, placing the greater onus of any ending of hostilities on Iran, not Israel.

Peloni:  While being interviewed (15min beginning at 4hr 30min mark) by Hannity during special programming about the US attack on Iran, Mark Levin explains that Trump is an historic figure, and that more trust should be extended to him.  Contrasting with this, Mark notes the betrayal of Bill Clinton which led to North Korea becoming a nuclear armed state.  He also recalls that Obama cut a deal so that Iran could ultimately become a nuclear armed state before Trump happily ripped up that deal.  Following this, Biden actually funded the Iranians as they proceeded with their nuclear weapons development.   With all of this in mind, Mark reminds us of the fact that the wise and judicious use of the military for good and specific purposes will actually result in peace, not war.

Peloni:  The factional animosity between the parties in Iran represents a significant hurdle facing the Iranians on their bid toward establishing a new state.  As Mandel explains, it will be important for the Iranian people to meet this hurdle while facing off against the interests of the IRGC.  This hurdle will however be made extensively less complicated if the minorities regions, which Mandel proposes be given autonomy, are instead granted their own state altogether.  By doing so, the Persian majority would have a free hand to reestablish order in their own community under whatever form of govt they might ultimately choose while eliminating the influence of the IRGC.  It would also lessen the significance of the possibility of the the Persians choosing either a leadership or govt which is less than supportive of the US and the West.

If managed wisely, the fall of the Islamic Republic could catalyze a historic realignment of the Middle East in favor of peace, stability, and freedom.

Peloni:  The various minorities in Iran should each pursue control of the territories on which they each reside within Iran, and upon having done so, the relative minorities should each declare these territories as independent from the Iranian state.  Freeing the dominion over the minority regions by an overriding ruling organization or authoritarian will protect and empower the relevant minorities, but it will also diffuse the centralized power and authority which made possible the Ayatollahs’ dreams of world domination over the past fifty years remotely possible.
