After the New York and New Jersey Democratic primaries, it now seems likely that the next freshman class of the House will include Dariazila Avila Chevalier, a Muslim convert who co-founded an organization that tweeted “Death to America” and who bragged, “I forgot to get napkins so I just wiped my hand on the American flag” as well as Hisham ‘Adam’ Hamawy: an associate of the Blind Sheikh terrorist leader who testified on his behalf at his terror trial.

Peloni:  When PM Netanyahu states that “I am expanding the national camp,” it is an acknowledgement that the national camp has expanded.  The opposition to the national camp has weakened and today even Lapid dares not embrace the specter of the Two State Solution, even as the Americans continue to harbor such eventualities.   The question arises then, which candidate will actually be capable of telling the Americans no when such an eventuality comes to be once again realize.

Although Raphael Lemkin, a Polish Jew who escaped to America in 1939, lost 49 family members in the Holocaust, invented the word genocide in 1944, and cited the fate of Armenians in 1915 at the hands of the barbaric Turks as an example of genocide, he was wrong about that, and on 28 June when the GOI (Government of Israel) joined the hostile gentile world by admitting that the Armenians were targeted for genocide too, that was another mistake.

The Treasury Department’s issuance on June 22 of a license pausing Iranian petroleum sanctions appears to be inconsistent with the Iran Nuclear Agreement Review Act (INARA), which prohibits such relief for 30 days after a U.S. nuclear agreement with Iran is submitted to Congress. The U.S.-Iran Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was submitted to Congress on June 18. The 30-day period was designed to provide Congress time to review a nuclear agreement with Iran — and potentially reject it — prior to implementation.

Peloni:  The important task of standing firm in opposing the sale of advanced US hardware to Erdogan’s Turkey appears to stand with the US Congress.  Trump’s Turkey policy has consistently aided Turkey’s strengthening grip on power in the region and beyond, something which has been highly regrettable for US allies and US interests, even as it was avoidable.  Amb. Tom Barrack has come to play a vital role in these developments, and his growing position in the Trump administration continues to parallel Trump’s growing support for Erdogan.  The consequences of this new reality has included Erdogan’s rhetorical banter encompassing greater and greater threats being made against Israel alongside the countering of vital US interests, not least of which is the ceding of control of the Horn of Africa to the Muslim Brotherhood led Turkish leader.  Hence, as the Trump administration has failed to do anything but encourage Erdogan’s ambitions of empire building, the role of oversight by the US Congress now becomes all the more pivotal.

Peloni: It is interesting to see how “Peace in Our Time” keeps changing from a very bad deal to an even worse very bad deal.  The refusal to allow an end to the war in Gaza has now led to the capitulation on the very point on which the war in Gaza was begun: the elimination of Hamas as an armed and ruling entity.  While funding of Iran has resumed at an exponential pace, Washington’s new policy betrayal in Gaza would leave the same butchers of October 7 in control there, and would allow the entire fiasco leading upto October 7 to play out all over again.  Tolerating enemies capable of making war on the Israeli people is what led to October 7.  This insanity must not be allowed to continue.  The Old Conceptzia must finally be ended, and Washington must be reminded of the commitments which it agreed to as prerequisites in its own stated plans for Gaza which included the elimination of Hamas if it did not disarm within 36hrs.  Well, its been 8 months since that deadline expired and Washington’s Peace Processors have come to the conclusion that the quintessential element of the 20 Point plan should be ignored so as to not spoil the ruse of having once again achieved Peace in the Middle East.  Netanyahu must stand firm in opposing this outrageous proposal which once again places the whims of the Peace Processors far above the security demands of the Israeli people.

Since US President Donald Trump signed the agreement with Iran that will bring the war to an end without achieving any of the goals he had set for himself, and worse, an agreement that strengthens the Iranian regime and grants Tehran the status of a regional power it never had before, Trump has repeatedly justified his surrender to the Iranians by saying that he did not want a “global economic catastrophe,” and that because of the agreement, the stock market in New York “soared like a rocket” and oil prices fell dramatically.
